It’s been announced earlier that Toboso Yana’s successful ongoing manga with the same name is getting a live action movie remake after the anime version.
Even though the original manga’s story took place in England during the 19th century, the movie adaptation will follow a different setting; the story will take place in a fictitious Asian city where westerners and easterners are freely intermixed, 130 years later from the manga’s era as in 2020.

Starring Mizoshima Hiro (Hana Kimi, Tokyo DOGS) and Goriki Ayame (Mirai Nikki, Beginners!); the movie will tell the story of Shiori; a woman who cross-dresses as a man and changes her name to Kiyoharu in order to lead the massive Phantom Corporation since only males are allowed to take the reins of the Phantom hive family. Shiori has a seal in her right eye as a symbol of her contract with Sebastian; the demonic super butler who has flawless knowledge, unbeatable martial arts skills, spotless manners, perfect skills cooking skills, astonishing looks and more. He protects Shiori and watches over her but with a high price: he has to consume her soul.

Other casts to mention are: Mizuki Yamamoto as the maid Rin, Yuka as Shiori's aunt, Hanae, and fashion model Louis Kurihara as the undertaker Jay.
The movie is bound up to be Hiro’s comeback to the big screen after “Beck” three years ago. It also resembles one of his previous dramas “Mei-chan no Shitsuji” where he also played the role of a butler.

Film Footage released by NTV's Zip!

I haven’t read the manga or watched the anime so I have no idea about the original storyline. Needless to say, I have no worries about comparing this to previous productions. Thus, I am impatiently looking forward to see this. The trailer and setting seem interesting enough to make me give it a go.

Based on Onda Riku’s novel “Yume Chigai”, the drama was produced in fall 2012 by the screenwriter Omori Sumio to tell the story Yuiko who’s living a stressful life because of her nightmares and her homeroom teacher Ayami who can relate to her and understand her dreams. Despite the fact that the drama ended with average rating of 11,5%, it noticed a big popularity among young viewers in the range of 11-13 years old. The movie’s story will still center on Yuiko and her classmates who are 6[sup]th [/sup]graders now. It doesn’t take long before everyone starts idolizing him and fall for his charm which ultimately generate a major incident…
The actors from the drama are almost untouched; such as Kitagawa Keiko, Kimura, GacktYuka and Kohinata Fumyo. The movie will also witness the addition of few other major roles played by Sato Ryuta and Hanjo Manami.
Shooting has already begun and is scheduled to wrap up in August but the movie’s exact release date in 2014 is yet to be announced.
