This is such a pleasant piece of news for Oguri Shun fans! Oguri Shun, who's currently starring in the drama BORDER, has confirmed that he will be playing the main role in an upcoming fall season drama as well as it's subsequent movie.

  1. BnGdmqBCAAEMrhh.jpg:medium In Nobunaga Concerto, Oguri plays two roles. One role is that of of Saburo, a lazy senior high student who accidentally travels into the most chaotic era of Japanese history - the warring Sengoku period. The other role is that of Oda Nobunaga - who is considered one of the greatest generals in Japanese history as well as being the man who started the unification process of Japan. In the show, the two roles collide when Saburo accidentally travels back in time. When they meet, Oda Nobunaga notices that they look identical and asks him to take on the responsibility of unifying Japan on his behalf.
  2. Oguri Shun is so excited about this drama because he always wanted to play the role of Oda Nobunaga.  Oguri’s only concern is related to the high school parts since he’s 31 year-old, and would obviously look older than his high school aged co-stars in uniform.
  3. The drama starts airing this October on Fuji TV. It will be preceded by an anime series and followed by Nobunaga Concerto: The Movie What do you think? Is it on your dramalist?
