Cinderella and Four Knights

I'll be completely honest-- I had my qualms about this drama too. Did I REALLY want to watch a drama where the main girl just fretted around worrying about which guy she liked more? Frankly, no, not really. (It wasn't even in the exciting premises of Reply 1997 or Reply 1988) But I finally sucked it up and watched it because so many of my friends were, and it was probably one of the best decisions of my entire life.

The Story:

So, like the fairy tale of Cinderella: The main girl, Eun Ha Won (Park So Dam), has lost her mother and her father remarried. She now has an evil (they are absolutely awful; I hate them so much) stepmom and stepsister. They work her to the bone in the house, with her doing all the cleaning and cooking. She works ten part time jobs in order to earn money for her college tuition. Upon visiting her mother's crematorium, however, she finds out that the payment is 5 years overdue. She has no choice but to spend all of her savings (600,000 won/535 USD) to keep her mother's spot.

And thus she has to start over from step one. While working at the convenience store, she meets two of the three cousins. The oldest cousin, Kang Hyun Min (Ahn Jaehyun), noticed her a couple days before when she beat up people in a club for not paying her for their pizza delivery, and wanted to take her out on a date. She doesn't believe he has the money to do so, and in turn he buys everything in the convenience store, in exchange for one date. The second oldest, Kang Ji Woon (Jung Ilwoo), runs into the convenience store wanting to pay for snacks, but then discovers he has no money on him. This, of course, angered Hawon.

Turns out, the date Kang Hyunmin wanted, was for Hawon to attend as his fiance to his grandfathers fourth wedding, in return for, what else, money. As she preps for the wedding (ayyy makeover scene), her phone gets swapped with the third cousin's: Kang Seowoo (Lee Jungshin). Anyways, at the wedding, she forces Hyunmin to go on his knees and apologize to his grandfather for disturbing his wedding, and thus, his grandfather develops an interest in her.

He offers her the preposition to stay at a house with the cousins, where she'll complete tasks that the grandfather gives her in order to help the cousins bond. In turn, she will receive money for college. Of course, at first, she refuses. However, after she gets kicked out of her own house, she has no choice but to turn to the Chairman for help. And thus begins her life in the SkyHouse.
