News broke out today that the famous 'Ajin - Demi Human' manga will receive a live-action movie next year. The movie will star Sato Takeru (main lead in the Rurouni Kenshin trilogy). In addition to that, the action stunt filming team that worked on Rurouni Kenshin trilogy will also work on this project.

The director of this project will be Motohiro Katsuyuki, who recently directed the movie The Curtain Rises (Maku ga Agaru) and the animated movie Psycho-Pass: The Movie.

The movie's setting will take place in Tokyo in 2017. And based on the news, the main character's age will be changed to match Satoh's and he will be portrayed as a medical intern.

Summary of the manga: The manga tells the story of 17-years-old Nagai Kei, who discovers that he is an immortal "Ajin"(demi-humans). Kei is then on the run from the government, which pretend to provide a safe living environment for Ajin, while in reality runs experiments on them. Kei has no one on his side, except him childhood friend, Kaito.
