I Think is Uncontrollably found, Kim Woo Bin is a such good actor, his paper in rhis drama was so hard, but he do it in the best way! I really like Scarlet Heart !!! The history and the drama i ws so intense and beautiful. I Can't choice just one, haha <3
Nominations posts were already made for only Korea & Japan, followed now by the poll posts. Perhaps you can send a message to the admin who made them so it might still happen or might at least happen next year? :)
Why do they put dramas that are not really family dramas in that category. In Korea Family Dramas are always 50+ep weekend or 100+ep daily dramas like 2013's Ugly Alert, Five Children or Blow Breeze. I loved Marriage Contract but that dramas in NOT a family drama, is it just because the female lead had a daughter and the male lead's family was a big part of the story, that people think it belongs to that category?, MC is just a melodrama or romance drama. I think there needs to be another category for dramas like MC or Reply 1988, like short family dramas or something it really annoys me when this happens because I love Family Dramas and most of titles in that category are not FD. I haven't seen Dear My Friends or One More Happy Ending yet but I'm pretty sure they are not a family dramas. Ojakgyo Brothers, Bluebird House, What Happens to My Family?, Heaven's Promise or the current The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop are a family dramas.
I don't think family drama's need to be categorized by amount of episodes, but with the theme of family. I haven't watched all the dramas listed in the section but I don't see Age of Youth as a family drama, so I don't know. It just depends on the person who made it, how they see family dramas as, since we all see things differently.
I agree. Of course it's only cus Moonlovers wins pretty much every category it's in since its so overhyped. But I really did not want that abusive and destrutive relationship to win best couple... I don't get how anyone can turn abuse into "romance".
the movies poll was disappointing , there were many movies that should've been added there ... 2016 had many many great movies like : the last princess , the phone , unforgettable , run off , spirits homecoming , the way back home ... and those are what come to my mind at the moment ... but i guess not many people nominated in the movie category , hence the short voting list .
there's a mistake in one of the actors names in the best actors poll : cho jin woong as lee jae han ( signal) - is the correct name , in the poll it was mentioned as " lee " jin woong and thats a different actor
The first half wasn't bad. I liked the "army" thing they got going, but the romance was really not worth it (couldn't find an ounce of chemistry, despite the fact that Song Joon Ki was really charming and convincing), and the lead actress is not that good in my opinion. They probably should have stuck to the military theme.
I've been struggling to watch it for about a month now. Got to episode 3 and totally lost interest so I finally gave up and dropped it. The second couple might have kept me watching but I concluded that it still wouldn't be worth the sacrifice of another 13 hours when I can use them on a drama that I can actually enjoy and appreciate.
And I tought I was weird because I didn't like DotS. I found the main couple actually annoying, and ended up dropping it. Another overrated drama that I couldn't end was W - Two Worlds. The plot was interesting, but the acting was painful to watch in my opinion...
Hmmm. This poll doesn't take into consideration what a Family Drama is in Korea. I mean.. The Good Wife, Age of Youth and Reply? Nice dramas, sure - but they aren't exactly in the right category. Family dramas in Korea are dramas like Blow Breeze, Heaven's Promise, Five Children, etc. (often they are 50+ episodes and either weekend or daily dramas - also enjoyed primarily by ahjummas haha). Unless they were just using some broad description of any drama that includes a family?
Anyways, it'd be nice to have them separated properly so that people who haven't tried Korean family dramas can be introduced to something new - I mean, in Korea, many of the family dramas hit much higher viewership ratings than the weeknight dramas that are more popular internationally.
