Hello, friends! We're already halfway through 2017, can you believe it? Last year, I shared my favourite K-drama OSTs of 2016 with you and I'm back with my set of 2017 favourites from the first half of the year (January through June)! These are simply my own personal opinions and preferences, but here are 7 of the OSTs from this year that I've been listening to the most!

7) And I'm Here - Kim Kyung Hee (Goblin)

I hesitated about including this song since Goblin started at the end of 2016... but since this particular OST was released in early 2017, I decided to include it. Oh man, this song pulls at my heart strings. Every time I hear it, I'm reminded of The Scene Which Shall Not Be Named and I want to cry all over again. The soft vocals add an emotional element and I think the fact that it's entirely in English makes it unique. It also has a heavy focus on the instrumental aspect of the song which I'm a huge fan of. Overall, this song brings back some painful memories in relation to Goblin... but I think that's always the sign of a good OST.

6) Peterpan - Crude Play (The Liar and His Lover)

This song left me wishing Crude Play was an actual group! I don't know what it is about this song, but when it was first released I honestly listened to it on repeat for about a week straight. As someone who is a fan of Sung Joo as a member of Uniq, I love hearing him feature as the main vocalist in a song. His higher toned voice compliments the deeper voices of the other Crude Play "members" really well. Honestly, this is just a super fun and well-done song. One thing no one can deny about TLAHL, no matter how they feel about the overall drama, is that it gave us some amazing OSTs and this one is definitely my favourite from the show.

5) Same - Sung Hoon & Song Ji Eun (My Secret Romance)

This is another track that sort of unexpectedly made its way onto my list of favourites. I found myself enjoying a lot of things about My Secret Romance, as cliche as the drama was, and this song is definitely one of them. You can't help but get that "kong kong kong kong" stuck in your head. I also think that their voices blend really will together. I just looked forward to any time I would hear this in the drama. It's a sweet song that fits well with the sweet and fluffy plot of My Secret Romance!

4) Amen - Damiano ft. Jenyer (The Guardians)

A kick-ass song to go with a kick-ass drama! I've said this before, but I'm typically more partial to ballads and softer songs when it comes to OSTs... but this song has had me hooked from day 1 just like the drama has. It's used perfectly throughout the show and it gives off the same feeling of intense desire for revenge and payback that we see in the show itself. Damiano's rap goes HARD and I also think Jenyer's presence adds a lot to the song.

3) Satellite - SALTNPAPER (Chicago Typewriter)

Oh man, my Chicago Typewriter feels! This is another OST that brings back a lot of emotional scenes from the drama and really pulls at your heart. I loved this drama so much and the first time I heard this song, I was in love. It fits with this drama PERFECTLY. It has a raw and sad feeling to it, something that makes you think of forgotten memories and past relationships... which clearly fits perfectly with Chicago Typewriter. I have so much love for the whole soundtrack for this show, but none of them was able to top Satellite. The first OST that's released for a drama always has the ability to leave a huge impact, and for me, that's exactly what this song did. Now excuse me while I go drown in my Chicago Typewriter feels for a few hours.

2) One More Step - Sandeul [B1A4] (Introverted Boss)

Sandeul is one of my favourite vocalists in the K-pop industry so the second I saw that he has released an OST for Introverted Boss, I knew it would be a favourite of mine. And I definitely was not disappointed. His voice is so colourful, he brought so much life to this song and it's such a beautiful song. These romantic, ballad, vocal-heavy songs are always my favourite and this song just makes me feel so good? Whenever I hear it, I just have to close my eyes and let Sandeul's vocals take me away. I was in the minority of people who really really loved the Hwan Gi/Ro Woon pairing so I love hearing this song and remembering how lovely this pairing was for me. This song is everything I love in an OST and that's what puts it so high on my list.

1) Flower - Seo In Guk (Tomorrow With You)

I don't even know if I have words for how much I love this song??? Not only is it my favourite OST of 2017 so far, it's easily one of my favourite K-drama OSTs of all time. Seo In Guk's voice was made for ballads. I can't even count how many times I've listened to this song but I still get chills every single time I hear it. That incredible run In Guk does at the end of the bridge is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. I don't even know how to describe this song apart from a beautiful, wonderful, masterpiece. It's honestly EVERYTHING. I'm clearly extremely biased here and at this point, I'm really just rambling about how much I love this track. I haven't really said anything constructive or cohesive about it... but that's just what this song does to me. It really blows my mind how much I fell in love with this song. I think I've rambled on enough about it but I really just... wow I love this song and I loved this drama and I love Seo In Guk and that's all.

So that's my Top 7 of 2017 so far. As you can see, I get really emotional and in-cohesive when it comes to music that really touches my heart. So maybe I'm not the best person for a list like this but here I am. What have been you favourite OSTs of the year so far? Leave your Top 7 in the comments below!

Keep an eye out for part 2 of this list at the end of the year!
