"Families are like fudge... mostly Sweet with a few Nuts"

One of the most important ingredients or captivating parts of watching dramas is the bonding and enjoyable interactions between family members. Whether it is a modern or historical setup, it is always a rollercoaster ride of emotions when tackling the state of affairs within the family.

For viewers in our country that have close family ties, it is delightful when they focus on how a family is important in the series. Whether we have different philosophies resulting in fighting and misunderstandings, in the end, your family will help you in your darkest time.

Here is my list of my favorite drama families. Enjoy.

THE HU/XUE FAMILY

The Battle of Changsha

In the midst of war, protecting your family and maintaining close contact with them is a blessing. Headed by a very talented and resourceful head of the family, Xue Jun Shan, this drama shows the life of the Hu/Xue family. Their struggles, happy moments, and maintaining peace especially when you have mischievous members,  especially knowing the traditional family culture of that time.

War is a very scary time and you will appreciate the maturity of each character and the importance of the pillar of support in the family to secure the safeness and order in the house.

The LI & LING FAMILY

Go Ahead

Growing up in dysfunctional households, three individuals who are unrelated by blood treat each other like family as they yearn for the love that they cannot find at home.

A very touching story where the bond of five people is powerful and shows that you don't need to be related by blood to build a very loving family.  Checking on and helping each other and being grateful for what they have is the greatest gift that you can have in a family.

THE BYUN FAMILY

My Father is Strange

A story of a family where suddenly someone shows up at the household and declares that he is the son of the family. So what will you do?

This drama will show you that every member of the family can have a different personality resulting in a very chaotic bunch, and becoming a source of laughter for the fans.

Sometimes being mean to each other is normal, but when someone is taking advantage of or giving a hard time to the family, somehow it unites them and they are ready to have an all-out war.

THE MING FAMILY

The Disguiser

Ahhhhh... The Mings...

I watched this drama for the nth time because of the amazing, cunning, and steel bucket strong bond of the Ming family. Set in the republican era when the Chinese fought for freedom from the Japanese invaders, every member plays a vital role in the secret society while maintaining the closeness that they have as a family.

Backing each other up, the bonding between them, testing each other's trust, and showing off the really great chemistry between the characters, especially between Ming Lou (Jin Dong) and Ming Cheng (Wang Kai).

They are like one body. Ming Lou - Brain, Ming Jing - Heart, Ming Cheng - arm/hand, and Ming Tai - Feet/limbs.

It's a funny, exciting, dramatic, and action-packed drama. It was a fun ride and a high-quality drama. What can I say...

 MING FAMILY RULES!!!

I and my siblings experienced that a lot when we were young. It's normal.

THE MORE FAMILY MEMBERS, THE CRAZIER!!
