The upcoming K-movie The Informal Operation, featuring renowned actors Ha Jung Woo and Joo Ji Hoon, is officially confirmed its release in August. Directed by Kim Sung Hoon, the premise of the film takes place in Lebanon in the 1980s. It revolves around a diplomat and a taxi driver who embark on a mission to rescue a missing diplomat. The film is inspired by the real-life 1986 Beirut kidnapping incident.Ha Jung Woo and Joo Ji Hoon, who previously displayed exceptional chemistry as the afterlife guardians in the film Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds,  will now showcase their talents as diplomatic officer and taxi driver, respectively. 

In the recently unveiled promotional stills, Ha Jung Woo is seen in his role as the diplomatic officer Min Joon, while Joo Ji Hoon is seen as the taxi driver Pan Su.

 The contrasting dynamics between these two characters, set against the backdrop of breathtaking landscapes, heighten excitement for the gripping adventure they will bring. 

Director Kim Sung Hoon, known for delivering enthralling and entertaining cinematic works, once again brings his expertise to the forefront. 

Furthermore, to portray the 1987 Lebanon, the filming took place in Morocco. So, viewers can also get a glimpse of the picturesque scenery of the Northern African country. 

The exact release date of The Informal Operation is yet to be disclosed. Stay tuned!
