Drama Suggestion

Hello everyone, I am new here. I would like to find a drama to watch hopefully you could assist me in choosing. I am studying Chinese at the moment and would love to watch some lovely series too.

Thank you in advance. Help will be much appreciated. :) I have watched several Chinese Dramas(I have watched numerous chinese films though!) already and here are my remarks:

1) Step into the Past - Well, it was brilliant. Slightly extended, but still, as a Historian I found it great. I had to skip some episodes though because of it's length.
2) Scarlet Heart - It was fine but not the best. And also, I did not like ending.
3) Love Sweeps through the Ages - It was remake of Korean Drama "Queen In Hyun's Man" which was much better than this Chinese one. The girl, the boy, both of them were better in the Korean one. So did not like it much. But at least I saw Wang Mang in a movie. :) One of my favourite Chinese emperors!
So based on these I would like to add some requirements:
1. Would be nice if it is historical but not an absolute requirement.
2. Would be nice if there are no jerks and main characters show some intelligence(applies to women) and care(applies to men) for others.
3. No womanizers! Main character should not be a womanizer or an emperor/prince with concubines. And I prefer girl to be chaste as well. 
4. Not too much sci-fi, only thing I like is time-travel. I prefer not seeing something with magic and ghosts.
5. Lovely Romance but also some other plot. Most of Romance plots are very slow. It is nice to have some action as well. 
6. Intelligence from main characters is more than welcome, not just lovely hugs. :)
P.S. For example I recently heard of "Sound of Desert" and wanted to watch it. But people write her Xiognu upbringing simply disappears to have an impact and even though the premise is brilliant, it just degenerates into overextended series of "romance" without much story or action.

Ailsa - Thank you for the reply. Either others did not want to be helpful or just think it's impossible to find Chinese Series without womanizers and concubines. "Female Prime Minister" seems like it has main actor - emperor with lot of concubines. I won't say in which, but there was a Chinese Drama where guy marries two women at the same time and I never felt anything bad about it. There was no womanizing or concubinage there so I was pretty satisfied.
