Synopsis:
Han Qi Luo, an extremely shy art student went to the same college as Chen Ling (Vic Zhou),a popular play boy. By chance one day they met at a park when CL asked HQL for direction to a hospital to visit his friend who was injured in a bike racing incident. Hurriedly HQL drew him a map, unknowing that she was drawing on the back of one of her sketches. She ran off before he could thank her. He then noticed the sketch of a mother holding a baby and was touched. In school HQL was sexually harrassed by a teacher and CL came to her rescue. Thanks for making it, this drama is in my Top 5 even if I never got to see it in HD because...I can't find it !!!! T.T (I love it to the point that I think I'm gonna buy the DVD set to see it in HQ ^^)

You all go and see it ! Right now ! This drama is perfect, the story has everything that makes a drama last forever in your mind: love, hate, psychology, triangle-love, friendship, family issues, crime, suspens, revenge, fear, protection, handsome lead, great actors, good music, awesome story and more...

even if you don't care about bikes and dislike sport dramas, (like me) go and watch it ! !!!!

oh, and the OST is so beautiful !!!! This song, I love it, and the piano version is so.....YA I'm gonna rewatch it !

I second that! I got chills while watching because some parts were just down right creepy, but it was still really good. However, I may be biased because I'm a Vic Zhou fan.

I Know right? MARS is just perfect.. Totally underrated..
Its the kind of drama that you keep thinking about even after having completed it..
Great soundtrack and amazing acting on both the actors behalf..

Taiwanese dramas, No Chinese in general are sadly greatly underrated..
but I hope MARS perhaps will open the eyes of some more people.
This drama has it all.. <3 It is one of a kind..

Did you read the original manga ?

I wanted to, but I found it missed something...then I played the OST while reading and it was still missing...yeah right no Vic Zhou in the manga lol ^^

Barbie and him were a true couple in life while shooting the drama, maybe that's why there was no awkwardness in the scenes between them. They could do anything, we totally believed in their characters!

even if its feels outdated, I like this old T-way of shooting dramas, that kind you find in Meteor Garden, It's started with a Kiss, and Mars for exemple. It's so minimalist that you are completely trown in the intimacy, the private life of the characters. You feel the story with no effects, like you're just beside them.

Kinda, I started reading it at some point, But eventually it just faded off.. I read it longer into the story, However things just got in the way.
And like you said yourself, Ling isn't really as cute in the manga as Vic Zhou's Ling is..
Gosh, I feel the vic-twins are too adorable <3

Its ok I guess, But even from the point of view of an otaku like myself who usually prefere reading the stories.. I've admitted my loss to MARS. <3
