I say "Fighting!" a lot and do the fist pump thing....It really does help though...and I may be from jersey (U.S)...but they definitely don't say that on the Jersey Shore. Ohhh the looks I get when I go "FIGHTING, let's do this!". I also find myself saying "add oil" in my head XD.

    Nice thread, Susu

Lately my wardrobe is filled with T-shirts with hoods. I have noticed that the female characters in K-Dramas wear these types of T-shirts, mainly those who are the messy/geeky type like Park Gae In (Personal Taste) :P So when I spotted them at a shop, I bought them. I wear them with blue jeans and I think I somewhat look like one of those K-Drama girls. The only problem is my hair. If only I had a Chinese cut hairstyle!
I often say 'Aigoo' to myself and have the urge to use a few Japanese and Korean words in everyday life. In fact, I use them sometimes at school among my friends. Like on my birthday a few days back, when my friends gave me chocolates, I said 'Kumapsumnida' and they were like, 'Eh? What?' I then explained them what it means, LOL.
Also in dramas when something goes wrong or someone says something annoying to a character, he/she makes exaggerated faces whether they're in public or on their own so lately I have found myself making such faces :P No, not in public but definitely when I am on my own, like if I get a paper cut or see something astonishing in a drama on my computer screen.
I have began to greet my friends more than before! Earlier I was very informal to my best friends. I didn't even say 'hi' if we met; simply started with whatever I had got to say . But now I greet them in the morning with a 'Good morning' and say 'hi' whenever I meet them.

    hmmm ok here I go.

    1. i def wish I could get one of does asian hairstyles but my stylist just looked at me in horror and said: "You know your hair is way too thin for that and its not gonna look the way you want it..." -.- (well at least she's honest)

    2. I caught my self saying "ottoke? (what to do/how) a couple of times. Like after missing the bus I just say "ottoke" instead of "shit, what now?"

    3. I do that "fighting" thing with that asian accent (well koreans do it as well as japanese, dont they?). At First my friends looked at me weird, but now I sometimes even get a "fighting" back. ^_^

    4. I caught myself nodding when greeting people or thanking them. I didnt realize it until last week when my friend who I havent met for a while asked my "what are you doing with your head, girl?"

    5. "Aish" leaves my lips on a regular basis

hmmm... those are the ones that just pop into my mind.... ^_^

That sounds weird, but i want to backhug someone too...
I just woudnt know in what kind of situations that would be appropriate. (I just never encountered a situation where I was standing in front of a tall handsome asian male in a dramaly fashion, having a heated argument about something and then had to stop him from leaving with backhugattack which left him speachless... but i wish i would have *.* )

It definitely is difficult! I especially want to do it with a frantic hand waving as for a small child. I saw my friend’s baby today and she had just learned how to wave her hand and I so wanted to utter a chirpy “annyeong!” instead of boring Finnish “Hei hei”. I did not slip but boy, it wasn’t easy… :S

I know that look, I get it from my little brother when I go home at my parent’s place and can’t help but say “tadaima” wishing that someone would respond with “okaeri”. However, I do imagine that our dog’s enthusiastic tale waving and jumping means “okaeri”. And then my mind wanders to Kimi wa petto… Anyway, our dog is about the only person to whom I can speak as much of Korean and Japanese as I want and it won’t give me weird glances. By now it has already used to hear its name with “chan” attached at the end whenever I call him. =)

I make exaggerated faces as well and then go “aish, jinja…cheongmal… ike buya? Aish” with my rather limited Korean vocabulary… :P

This one! I’ve noticed I do it, too! Since it’s not totally unheard of to nod just a little no one has remarked on it yet but I guess if I continue to do it, someone might find it weird.

There is also a long list of expressions: I use frequently “ottokhe”, “yoshi”, “fighting” and “jinjja”. Judging by the answers so far, languages seem to be the easiest/first thing to adopt from dramas.

Personally, I’ve also been influenced by the food culture. I’ve started to eat more instant noodles :P Not the best thing for your health probably but very useful when you have nothing else at home. Also, I had never eaten with chopsticks before but recently I got myself a pair and I’ve been practicing on my own how to use them. Other than that, I think I dress more prettily and femininely nowadays and I also like cute things more than before. There’s still a limit to the cuteness that I can take but I did get myself a cell phone charm - something that would have been impossible, say, still a year ago.

I use "Yosha" a lot to pump myself up. But I think that's more anime based than Jdrama.
I do say Aish! and Aigoo! often enough :P

I call one male friend Oppa...and I may have slipped and called my mom Omma once. I also sang her the 3 Bears nursery rhyme. I do utter "aish" a lot...it saves me from saying a curse word in certain situations. Sometimes I respond with Ani or Ne. Oh, sometimes I tell a friend "Fighting," she'll say it to me (like during my exams), or I'll say it to myself. For me, it's always accompanied by the fist pump, and my pronunciation is more "Hwaiting." I even wrote the term (in Hangul) on my golf balls >_< lol. More terms find their way into my vocabulary like jinjja, gurae(yo), ottoke, omo, wae, nawa, gaja...

Other than language, however, I've picked up some mannerisms. I watch a LOT of Korean variety shows, and I've picked up on the girlish laugh clap and the hand(s) over the mouth while laughing thing. I've also kind of picked up on bowing or nodding as someone else mentioned. Thankfully, I don't 90Âș bow, but I'll do a slight dip with my head and shoulders sometimes.

My sister & I call my mom "Omma", my sister calls me "Unni", my friends and I use "fighting" to pump ourselves up. Lets see I also use "chincha" "aigoo", "ommo" "arrazo". I love using "shiro!" LOL. Also, dramas have made me start growing my hair out long. Its about mid length right and wavy now but I want it really long and in big curls like in school dramas. I want it to look pretty with headbands and bows=)

My best friend and I when we are texting we use : "Yosh Yoshida Peace!" from nobuta wa produce.
And also makino's punch from hana yori dango, just for fun of course ...
And "Aja aja fighting", 'tada ima', sometimes when i speak with older people i want to bow ><, and I also said Baka! a lot, when I have to do something I say to myself 'Yosh' ... When I read something shocking "OMO!"..
Yesterday, without any reason I "HOY HOY" (from my girlfriend is a gumiho) my boyfriend (><")
Nowadays I watch more Korean dramas than Japanese, but when i started to watch asian dramas (japanese) I was like 'eeeeeeeeeeeehh majide ?". And I bought a ball which looks like the one in "Tatta Hitotsu no Koi"
