editSynopsis

This story follows a young man named Makoto who lives in Ikebukuro West Gate Park, an area known for youth delinquency and gangs. In fact, one of Makoto's best friends from high school, Takeshi, is the "king" or leader, of one such gang, called the G-Boys. Makoto is known for being tough and smart, and while trying to solve the mystery of a friend's death, he finds himself a somewhat unwilling helper in many mysteries and problems of IWGP inhabitants. All the while, gang tension is mounting between his best friend's gang (which Makoto refuses to join) and a new gang, the "Black Angels."

In the beginning I started watching IWGP because Yamapi was in it - But after only a few minutes I had almost forgotten about him.

The characters in this drama are very believable and well-done, they are realistic and have their good and bad sides.

I like how important friendship is for the story, much more important than the romance or violence.

The acting was really good, especially in the dramatic and fighting scenes. The actors looked like they were really in character and I never thought someone looked awkward, when they weren't supposed to.

The music wasn't outstanding, but it was there. I didn't pay much attention to it and felt like it wasn't really important.

The story itself was great, interesting and full of

This was better than I expected, It got me hooked from the first minutes. I loved Nagase Tomoya in this one - it\''s maybe his greatest series - but I\''ll have to add that other than him Kubozuka Yosuke did a great job as King.

What should I say more?! This series can be categorized as one of the best, a must see, as it combines the street factor with all the violence, gangs and raw characters with detective work and funny moments. For me this is the recipe to success.

This is definitely a classic and a must see before you die even if you don't enjoy it, it's just got that thing about it that makes it a compulsive watch.

Minna-san! Is this drama good? I've already download it. I've seen first two episodes and now, I'm having a second thought if this one will gets better and better.

Still my favourite drama ever. The story and characters are both so unique, the acting is great, and it's very fast-paced. So many dramas just drag on and on for the first few episodes, but this one catches you right from the start and never slows down. I actually just rewatched some of it recently, and I'm almost tempted to revisit even more after writing this. If you like gritty delinquent/mystery dramas, definitely give it a try.

Anyone know where to watch/download this with English subs?
    • devitto May 22, 2012
On YouTube (at least the first few episodes). That's where I'm watching it at the moment. :)
    • HAVA-RAVA May 24, 2012
      okay :D thanks

By the way, it's really frustrating to watch the first 6 episodes on YouTube and to be unable to find the rest of the episodes. I can't even find them RAW. If you do tell me, okay? :D
    • HAVA-RAVA May 24, 2012
lol sure. but first i need a working computer so i can even access internet *is at school*
    • devitto May 24, 2012
Found them on Veoh! I'm soooo happy. :D
And the videos have been on there for more than 5 years, wow. ^^
    • DMCpawn Jul 4, 2012
Well... You COULD just download the raws and subs over at D-addicts instead, but it's stupid to download torrents at college; you'll get into trouble for sure. W/e, you probably finished the drama by now.
    • devitto Jul 4, 2012
Yep, I found them subbed on Veoh. I've never downloaded torrents before and I hope I never will. It just seems sooo illegal. :D
    • DMCpawn Jul 5, 2012
So is streaming copyrighted content, except that streaming sites can get the fansubbers arrested (as fansubbing IS illegal). Not that I'm criticizing you, torrenting doesn't have a good rep. That's why I'm unsure what people in college can do, since I'll be going there soon, and torrenting there is OUT OF THE QUESTION. There's just no way a college student can win in this situation without pissing SOMEBODY off.

I haven't seen this drama, so I hope you enjoyed it :)

Yes, it's my all-time second favorite. I LOVED it. <3
I never download things. Streaming feels safer, though of course I know it's not legal either. :)
