editSynopsis

The story revolves around a young man named Mahigashi Teru. When he was young, his father, a brilliant surgeon, died in an accident, but not before saving Teru's life. As a result, Teru also aims to become a great surgeon like his father, devoted to never letting a patient die. As a clumsy newcomer at his hospital, he seems to be an unlikely savior. But whenever a patient's life is in danger, his true powers emerge in the form of his "god hands," allowing him to successfully perform even the most difficult operations. --Tokyograph

This is a very odd drama...but odd in a good way! It kind of felt like a mixture between Power Rangers...and Iryu :P

I absolutely loved it though. The story was kind of cheesy, but overall i did love it. The cast and the acting was flawless. The music was alright and served its purpose just fine. As for rewatch value, i'm not much of a rewatcher, but i'd give it a 6. Overall, I think this drama is one people who love comedy mixed with drama in the setting of a hospital.

This is my first medical drama. Although, there aren't many episodes, there all the time something happens. I though that every espisode is connected with Teru's magic instinct, but it turned out that not, because at the end there was greater scandal. I like the director's character (Yasuda Junji) the most. Actually, this guy looks like yakuza, but he has such a friendly disposition...

  • Both are medical dramas about young talented resident surgeons who search for the meaning behind their profession and learn to cope with its hardships. Code Blue is more realistic and doesn't have the Godhand Teru's supernatural (and a bit cheesy) notes, but still the overal feeling is similar.

Drama was going so well, then they screwed it up in the last episode. They should have ended it halfway through episode 6.
