A pure young man named Yoshihiko becomes chosen as a hero, and he sets out on a journey in order to save a village. The show's tagline, "Low Budget Action Adventure Story," foretells the hilarity that will assault your senses while enjoying this "drama." :) This series reminds me of the British sitcom "Black Adder" because of its exaggerated characters and army of guest stars. The show doesn't take itself seriously, and viewers shouldn't either.

The plot follows a ragtag team of heroes as they travel through a strange land fighting monsters (many of which are paper mache). This show has a sense of humor I have not seen in a Jdrama before. It's very random and silly on an elevated level. I found it thoroughly entertaining.

Although the characters are far from realistic, they are consistently developed and draw you into

I started watching this drama because the poster for this drama seemed amazingly "epic". However, it turned out to be false! This isn't a high budget action drama. Does that mean I was disappointed? Nope! Not at all! This drama has game references (which the subber did a GREAT job of noting), comedy, and even though it was low budget, it was a joy to watch.

Story 10/10: The storyline is actually pretty unique, at least from what i've seen. It's about a Hero who has to go out and defeat an evil entity who is bringing evil in this world! As someone else mentioned, it's somewhat like Monty Python, but it has it's own uniqueness. It also reminded me of the anime Gintama in a

This show is created for a certain audience meaning for rpg gamer only, you wont get the jokes unless you play rpg games specially dragon quest. Show for the geeks not for the chicks.

I liked this drama, it had a unique storyline with lots of weird funny situations.
I still think it's not directed for everyone; As for me, Japan's comedy style has always been my thing. Therefore, I am totally watching the second season.

this drama has truly peculiar sense of humor, it's very different from other japanese dramas, on the one hand it's so stupid (but it makes every episode really funny) and on the other hand it's really unconventional. I'm not surprised that this drama has so high ratings

i get attracted to this drama because it parodying Dragon Quest. I haven't played any of them yet, but I like rpg games and used to play quite some of them. So far I'm quite loving it, but it seems I lift my hope a bit too high, it's not as funny as I expected, but still a good watch.^^
