29-year-old Toru Hyuga (Oguri Shun) is a wealthy man. He first started to run an internet website from his small room and his hobby began to make a lot of money. Nowadays, he doesn't like to socialize and if somebody comes to him he suspects that they may want his money. Sawaki Chihiro (Ishihara Satomi) attends a job fair and by an unexpected occurrence begins to work for Toru Hyuga. Sawaki Chihiro soon realizes that Toru Hyuga isn't so bad. There's pureness in him and also a good deal of loneliness. She then begins to have feelings for him.

This isn't a boring remake of a cinderella type story. The plot was very refreshing but some area of the characters became predictable. I thought the music was wonderful in the drama. I would buy the soundtrack if it were for sale. The male lead was great and so was the female. The actors had great chemistry and really made this drama one of my favorites. If you are thinking about watching this, don't just watch it. You won't be disappointed. The drama is a short refreshing watch.

Went in not expecting a whole lot but came out feeling refreshed & happy!

Totally enjoyed this one despite having reservations about the female lead. Both Oguri Shun & Ishihara Satomi did an amazing job in this Drama.

Rich Man Poor Woman was cute, funny, sweet & extremely endearing with a great score & OST. It's one of those Dramas that re-uses the same songs throughout & I know some may not like that but personally I feel it binds everything together thus helping maintain the mood. I think for me; that's what really made this Drama stick in my mind.

Plenty of problems. Typical Japanese style non-romantic kisses; random jumps in the story, not really anything earth-shatteringly new either as far as story goes &

  • OGURI SHUN a great Japanese actor is in both dramas. The thrilling part is the gap differences between the characters, plot, story line, and more. Please try it out and enjoy

there are a LOT of dramas about rich men and poor women out there :3
    • viennacrow Oct 25, 2012
I know but the reason I liked it was not "the rich man and poor woman" thing
    • superpasta Oct 25, 2012
then what did you like about it? :3
    • viennacrow Oct 26, 2012
Because it was easy watching drama without any additional and
unnecessary dramatization of the things going on. Besides, although its name, the story isn't all about "oh look she is poor, he is rich!!". And also the ending was clear for me.

hmmmmmm i dunno what to suggest to you then D: i dun normally watch easy going dramas with a romance in them. maybe celeb to bimbo taro? it is about a super rich girl and a super poor guy, (the opposite) but i dun think you can watch it somewhere anymore >O< . i watched this though in one go when it was out. >o< all the episodes, one after the other :3 . it's the only easy going drama that pops in my mind atm. :3 if i think of anything else i will tell you xD

I waited until today to watch last two episodes of this drama because I was afraid. "Will they spoiled it at the end?" was something I kept asking myself and postponing possible disappointment.

Thank goodness! There was no disappointment!
I'm so happy with the ending. That time skip made it even better.
I'm still under impression I keep smiling without a reason. :D

Same here. I especially love this kind of dramas where a girl loves that popular hot guy, who doesnt show much attention to her, but slowly falls for her...xD You know what I mean? lol
Me, too. Oguri Shun is my fav actor. I really really love his acting skills, no matter what role is is playing, he plays it perfectly! ?

The drama is not rlly perfect. Personally I'd give it an 8 at the highest, and most of that is due to Oguri Shun's performance which is almost if not totally impeccable.
