In all-boys school with a tradition of Princesses (boys chosen to attend school functions dressed up as girls to alleviate the tension between the students), Yutaka Mikoto, Shihoudani Yuujirou and Kouno Tooru are this year's chosen Princess team. Dissatisfied with the half-hearted efforts of the current Princesses, Hanazono Otoya creates his own team of Dark Princesses to rival for the students' attention.   This Drama is based off of Princess Princess, which, as an Anime, I really enjoyed. Sadly, the story of Princess Princess D isn't all that enjoyable. For one, it seems as though the budget for this Drama was really, really low. There are some good actors in it, but when there is supposed to be a crowd you only see about three people at a time, you never see any impressive overviews of crowds or buildings and the lighting is quite bad. There are a lot of scenes which don't make any sense (a lot of random dancing, for example) and the story makes strange and shaky progress. All in all I'd say the Drama, especially if you've either seen the Anime of Princess Princess or read the Manga, or both, is very disappointing. read more

  Coffee Prince

  There is the same funny spin on what happens when someone dresses up as the opposite sex. The boys pretend to be girls, and though it isn't a secret that they aren't boys their difficulties in adjusting to acting feminine are funny. Its not as mature of a comedy as Coffee Prince, though funny still.
