Kurono Kei (Ninomiya Kazunari) and Kato Masaru (Matsuyama Kenichi) are summoned by the mysterious black globe GANTZ. They continue the fight against extraterrestrial beings and, as they continue to battle, they become stronger. They can't escape unless they kill their enemy, the Saint. Kurono Kei opts to keep fighting to survive, but Kato Masaru hates the world which is controlled by violence and refuses to fight. As the two friends finds themselves opposing each other in a continuous game of violence, a critical last choice is to be made...

  This movie. /THIS/ movie. If you've watched the first Gantz, then you know the general story line and you pretty much know what it's about. Usually sequels ruin my love for the first movie, but in this case, the second movie made the first movie completely irrelevant. (I was religiously in love with the first movie.) This one has a lot more depth to it and the stakes are so much higher in this movie, since they all aren't oblivious to what they're facing anymore. There's a lot of emotions thrown around in this movie, but it just makes it that much more memorable to me. This movie is easily my number one favorite movie.

  At first, I want to say that I'm not a fan of arashi and I didn't even know that this is a manga and anime. Accidentially I found this movie (and the first)in MDL and thought: "sonds not bad, can watch this" and now, here I'm writing my first review.
  
  Story: It can be confusing at the beginnging but the more you watch more you understand. The storyline was great. It's a mix between supernatural and action and I love both.
  
  Cast: I knew Nino by another drama but there I found him normal. Now I think he is one of the best japanese actors! But the whole crew made it - no, i can't say harmonic.. they complete each other and I was fascinated by Matsuyama too!
  
  Music: The music fits in every scene. I think it could had be more but I like it very much.
  
  rewatch Value: Now, I want to buy the DVDs.. xD I think that's say all. Maybe somone is scared off the 3 hours but every single sec it's worth!!
  
  Overall: I only can say that this movie is a must! I laughed, cried and felt like a little kid by the zombie scenes xD Hope I could help *waves* read more

  You have to watch both! One tells the story, the other gives the details. This is a must-see for any Science Fiction fan.
