The thing that excites me about Liar Game is not only the puzzles, but the look and feel of the series as a whole. When Liar Game: Reborn started it was typical of the show. The kind, unassuming heroine discovers a box of money and an invitation to the game. This was expected. And our hero is reluctantly pulled into the games, seemingly against his will. This was also expected.

But once the players entered the playing field…That is when I sat up straighter, started to smile, munch happily on my overly buttered popcorn and get that excited feeling as if I am sitting in a theatre waiting for something good. Let the Games Begin! The game played in Reborn is intricate and will keep you

This movie was great!! It had the thrills and suspenseful moments that the liar game regularly offers to its audience. The story itself was great, love the ideas and plot of the story. It was interesting and it really plays with your mind.

The acting was alright, mastuda shorta doing a great job playing Akiyama but I didn't really like the new heroine. They really should have left nao in cuz it would've been a ten if she was there! The new heroine 4 me didn't quite make the cut, her acting was alright.

The music was AMAZING!! Downloaded the whole ost! Capsule have done it again.the music creates a great and suspenseful atmosphere which made you want more!

Would I watch this again, YES! I

I didn't really have much intention to watch this sequel of the franchise, but I had just finished watching Mother with Mana-Chan giving a brilliant performance, and wanted to see what her role was like in this movie.

Personally, by the middle of the film, I felt I've seen all of this before, and I just wanted it to end. It just seems so rinse/wash/repeat at this point....

Plus Mana-chan really didn't do much of anything!!

I feel like I'm not being a hopeless fangirl when I say that Akiyama looks depressed in this movie. Like, seriously missing Nao. I'm not imagining it, right? RIGHT?

I thought I wouldn't it with Toda Erika not being in it but I ended up loving it just as I have loved all the other Liar Game shows/movies they have produced! I'm not a fan of Tabe either but she did a good job in this and didn't annoy me ^_^

The first thing came to mind when I get to know that this chapter was a "Musical Rounds" and I've thought it would be like playing piano, guitar, dancing, and etc.. LOL. But heck no! It's all about "VOTING and ELIMINATING!" and I get tired watching the same thing happen over and over again. It's too predictable. If you know what I mean.

Unfortunately, this movie didn't meet up my expectations just as how I was in the previous Liar Game.. and I was disappointed to the point that somehow, there's missing something in the story plot. Though we knew that Akiyama and Shinomiya were a "Professor and Student", I find it hard to sense the connection between the two of them. :|

    PS.
How come they didn't even mention "Nao" once?! And I was like.. "What's in the world happen to her?" I was frustrated and missing Erika Toda as Nao though. :(

Omg! Same experience here! They did not mention nao even once. But i thought its because the show focused on the game and there is no exact timing for akiyama to tell others about nao. Though i liked how akiyama convinced yu to realize what really matters ( The fact that evrybody shoud team up, trust each other and win. ). Yehe i can see nao through it!

Meh, I don't think I'll be able to watch this. While the original show/movie were really good for the storyline, it still had a really big overall cheese factor (as to be expected from a manga-based drama) and predictability that only the romance between Nao and Akiyama could make me look past. And I was under the impression they ended up together after the first movie?
Yeah, I don't think my heart can take them just ending like that. Hm.

So I watched the movie. And let me say, if you're a hardcore AkiyamaxNao shipper, don't be too put out by this movie! Honestly, while she isn't in it, he isn't all up on the new chick in this movie.

    Still a nice movie!
Though it was a sad thing that Nao-chan wasn't there, the movie managed to pull it off. But as you watch the movie you can't help but miss Nao-chan and Akiyama's chemistry. Right?!!
Akiyama's still cool and even looking greater this time!

Gah! How come they didn't even mention Nao-chan at least once!

OMG IKR!!! if they did put nao in imagine how awesome it would have been 2 c there reunion and there reactions to each other, eg of a convo would be like if nao was there
akiyama:*omg* she's here ahhhhhhhh (his feeling within) on the outside cool faced eyes opened
nao: "AKIYAMA!!!!! I MISSED U SOOO MUCH! HEARD YOU WERE A PROFESSOR!!
akiyama and nao share a moment
akiyama asks "out of 3 chairs which one would u pick"
      nao: "middle"
      akiyama: what colour
nao: pink :) why do u want 2 know??
then somewhere later in the movie.....
akiyama: i missed u 2....then he hugs her
i would be on the floor at that point,.......*sigh* i wish

This movie was alright, I love the Liar Game franchise but when they do it in movie format I get kinda exhausted. There is twists and turns everywhere and huge reactions to everything, which I love. I just don't love it when it's the same game they play for 2 hours and 15 minutes.

People are complaining about Nao/Erika not being in this, and I get it, I like her too. She is one of my favorite actresses. But frankly her story is done and it would feel pretty pointless to drag her into the games again for her to preach about the same stuff. Akiyama is a must though, and I liked that he got a new partner this time around. Yes, she was basically Nao there was enough that was different like she was more deceptive etc. And Tabe Mikako did a good job, she doesn't deserve the hate she is getting for this role.

All in all I liked the movie, but I enjoy Liar Game the best in it's show format.

I agree, i loved Erika's performance in liar game, but Mikako does a good job and I'm a fan of her as well :) they are good in their own way and I absolutely love this drama, every single one of them! Loved the music-chair game :)

Hmmm, I liked the first 3 original versions than this one, how I wished Toda Erika was still the female lead. Anyway, I loved the scene after the credits with the answer about middle pink chair. Overall, it satisfied my longing for Matsuda Shota, lol, just kidding. Still liked it, hence: 8/10 for me. :)
