"Love, Masao-Kun Ga Iku" describes the relationship between people and their dogs. Until, Matsumoto Hideki and the labrador retriever Masao become popular, they help each other. The movie is based on a true story - TV program "Masao-kun ga iku! Pochitama petto no tabi" ("Itinerant Dog Masao's Trip") featured comedian Matsumoto and a male labrador named Masao.
