editSynopsis

Lee Jin Soo made it big after writing several thriller novels and establishing himself as a talented novelist. He works for Seo Eun Young, the owner of the biggest publishing company in Korea, and has a long-time friendship with her. Jin Soo has lots of fans, especially female ones, and he seems to be the perfect match for any woman... but what no one knows is that he is actually a bit weird and sarcastic, has lots of strange habits, and holds a dark secret. The one who has to cope with him and his habits is his secretary, Kang Seung Yeon, who begged him for this job to become a pro instead of the below-average girl that she really is. On top of that, there is also the return of Han Ji Won, Eun Young's ex-fiance, whom she despises. Ji Won tries to win Eun Young back, but she has her eyes set on Jin Soo.

I didn't really want to take note of this drama but it seemed unfair of me to not put my thoughts into it since I did waste 16 hours on it.

Why do I say waste? Because the story line was pretty annoying. I don't know what the writers were thinking when they started brewing up the plot. It had a weak start and a weak ending. The main character was a superb actor, we all know that but the story didn't give justice to his acting skills at all.

Though I would have to admit that there were times where I laughed my ass out to some scenes but that wasn't enough for me to go on rambling and recommending the drama. It will only

For me this drama is lacking in the choosing of the main couple,i would have liked it if Lee Jin Soo and Kang Seung Hyeon was the main couple, i was waiting until the end of the drama for them to have a relationship, but i was so disappointed that they did not really have a relationship, it was just like a teacher and student relationship...

  • Both stories are about a young girl who is inexperienced and is tutored by someone who is a master at the craft and then she falls for him. Both dramas have the same feel although one is about food and the other about writing.

This drama was just fun and beautiful -- the set, the clothes, the acting, the story (and the back story), the sense of humor, and ESPECIALLY the ending. It was an ending that made perfect sense.

It's one of my favorites, along with A Gentleman's Dignity, Coffee Prince, and the movie S Diary. The only thing I don't like about it is the title. They should have stuck with "Page One," as it was about writing and not the coffee. It was probably another head fake the writers did, in addition to the ending. Very smart.

Equal parts funny and sentimental. Very underrated. Must-watch.

This Drama SUCKED BIG TIME... I've never hated a drama before this one is my 1st... Absolute waste of time, 18 hrs of hell (I should've just went ahead and dropped it) but instead I kept struggling to finish it... Sigh this drama really was so tiresome to watch I'm still so angry about it even though 2 years have already passed

Absolutely amazing! To be honest, I didn't really like the first episode and I was about to give it up but I'm so happy I gave it a chance after all. Eun Young x Jin Soo is probably the best couple I've ever seen in a drama ever! And the OST was amazing as well.

I wasn't sure if I should watch Coffee House, as most of the reviews were not very good. But I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the main couple and the finale. I still can't get the main song out of my head.

After watching Lie To me and Hong Gil Dong with Kang Ji Hwan I'm an official fan. No matter what, he always delivers as an actor.

This had so much potential! IMO the writers weren't able to get it together. Sigh, such a shame.
