Two prisoners managed to escape after the police truck carrying them crashed. One of them ,is a gangster. The other called "Otowa YonKo" - our protagonist - is a con artist whose cheats money from criminals or terrorists. Accidentally, "Otowa Yonko" then becomes the new teacher for the nearby high school, under the new name "Hachisuka Goro", and according to a deal of "Hammer Session" with the headmaster. --Dramawiki

  Yes it's the same concept as Gokusen, but its way better. Its edgier, its funnier and its got Mokomichi! I really liked this drama because of the exciting plot and situations that unfolded. I also liked how it had a touch of a psychological aspect to it as Otowa (Mokomichi's character) really scammed everyone by getting in their heads. Although the main concept is that this teacher comes in and changes the students and the school by teaching in unconventional ways, this story has so much more. The teacher isn't a teacher but an ex conman on the run, and we don't really know his name. I liked how this drama really let its characters mature and even though the viewer is privy to the inner workings of the con-mans set up you still don't know how things are going to turn out. This isn't a tear jerker but makes you think, laugh and gasp. read more

  Woow!! Just wow!! I haven't watched drama like this in ages. I just couldn't stop watching. I just loved the every single moment. Great story line! Great actors! 10 out of 10 for everything! Hayami Mokomichi and Shida Mirai were amazing. I would definitely suggest it. Just what i love about jdramas.. it is all there.

  Both have very similar story; a teacher with a background. In Gokusen she's from yakuza family while in HS he's from jail. Both teachers solve their student's problems.

  The exact same concept for both dramas: a rough inexperienced teacher is taken in by the principal to change the hearts of the students and the school culture while having a past that most wouldn't agree with. That fits both perfectly.
