Wi Mae Ri is the cheerful, pragmatic daughter of a failed businessman who had grown used to being constantly on the move to escape from debtors. She becomes fast friends with the free-spirited indie singer Kang Moo Kyul when she nearly ran him over in a car. Meanwhile, her father Wi Dae Han is saved from his debtors by his old friend, Jung Suk, who had just returned from considerable success in the Japanese entertainment industry. Jung Suk, who had harboured a secret love for Mae Ri's mother, sets up a deal with Dae Han to have Mae Ri marry his son, Jung In. In a desperate attempt to escape this predicament, Mae Ri begs Moo Kyul to pose as her husband, and finds herself in even more trouble than before when her father proposes a 100-day period in which she has to divide her time equally between Moo Kyul and Jung In, after which she has to decide who to marry.

Although many people say that this drama sucked, i have to say i LOVE IT SOOOO MUCH. Personally. it wasn't the story that kept me watching. I mean the idea is interesting ,but I've seen this situation before and it's obvious whats gonna happen as soon as you get introduced to all the characters. However if i stopped watching a drama just because it was predictable i wouldn't watch dramas period (especially romance dramas because most of them are predictable). The main reason i adore this drama is because of the character. how the actors interact with each other is exactly why i love it.The heroines determination is very admirable and the relationship between the heroin and the male leads (and her insane father) is what read more

When I think of this drama, the thing I remember most fondly is the music. Mary Stayed Out All Night has a KILLER soundtrack! This is truly the first drama I watched where:

    A) I even noticed the music in a positive way, i.e., not thinking to myself, “I'm sick of hearing this song.”

    B) Halfway through, went desperately searching for the entire O.S.T.

    C) Found it and played it on repeat in my iPod for months.

The sweet and thoughtful “I Will Promise You” was the first song to grab hold of me. Jang Geun Suk’s gentle crooning over the playful, melodic acoustic guitar chords reminds me of waking up on a rainy Saturday morning. You know, the kind of morning where you get up

  • In Delightful girl the lead male is engaged by his parents but holds a former love in his heart. in MaeRi the lead female is engaged by her father and holds a love in her heart. The are certainly different MaeRi has way more music, but Delightful Girl has a happier ending.

from what i can remember, the first couple of episodes were great --the show was interesting and entertaining to watch, quite cute. however, i think this was around the time when.. i heard the screenwriter was being changed..? or something like that, idk. well, yes, i noticed that the story became a little draggier, just difficult and boring to watch. i had to drop it. perhaps i'll give it another try one day.

I hated this drama, I regret those 16 hours I spent watching it, all because of Jang Geun Suk :/ How come he haven't done any other masterpieces like You're Beautiful?

I started to watch this drama last night, I am at the 6th episode right now, and I love it so far. :) My only problem is, that both of the male leads are too sexy! But if I had to choose, I would take the musician guy. :D Musicians are just irresistable ^^ And Jang Geun Suk is a typical flower boy, wich I am obsessed with ^^

I am watching it right now and I am really enjoying this drama. I love the way that the characters interact! And what I love the most: they don't fall in love at first sight or before 1 or 2 episodes like most of the dramas (which is very unrealistic), but they grow their relationship with friendship and loyalty before. This is amazing, it is so cute when they finally realize that they are in love. :) Go watch it guys! ~ ^-^

Digging Jang Geun Suk's look in this drama, he's adorable. Kim jae Wook is cute in this too. And I think they were my downfall. First two episode, I loved the drama, but by ep. 3 it was pretty boring. And then I realized, I was probably swayed by all the eye candy

The whole story is a little silly/ridiculous. A 24 year old (Who acts 12) decides to run away from an arranged marriage (Instead of just putting her foot down and saying no) but ended up returning home with a fake marriage/husband. And her friends and Moo kyuls bandmates are egging it on...? I thought I could look past that but i couldnt

Oh and she barely even gave Jung-In a chance. Right off the bat he's known as the jerk, yet Moo Kyul does plenty of jerking things, yet she'll still hang with him.

And why do they do this is so many dramas, Having the 20something being as innocent as a Middle schooler. -_-
