This drama started out with a lot of comparisons to Romeo and Juliet. It does have the element of two people who fall in love in spite of their family's bitter rivalry. But where the two part company is that in Mr. Shakespeare's original work you don't really get very much back story about why the Capulet's hate the Montague's. You simply know they hate each other read more report I found this review Helpful Not Helpful -

Park Shi Hoo's performance in this is absolutely stunning. Words cannot begin to formulate how well he plays his role. At first i watched it as i would a normal Drama...check out the first episode see how things go from there; and as soon as i watched the first 20 minutes...i was captivated. In the acting category, I don't have complaints since all of them can deliver and not just a one dimensional character. Though at first, I thought PSH is not suited for the role since he read more report I found this review Helpful Not Helpful -

Story- The first 12 episodes were okay. They went by at a good pace not too slow but nothing significant happened to capture my attention. I felt they could have cut a couple of episodes out of this part of the story, making the drama shorter. The last 12 episodes were epic and filled with heartbreaking romance, action, and just plain excitement. The ending was bittersweet but a pleasant surprise.
Acting- I'm really really glad Park Shi Hoo took this role on. He showed in his last 2 dramas read more report I found this review Helpful Not Helpful -

It`s been around a year that I haven't watched Korean dramas. Why? A lot of them are repetitive or lack originality in terms of plot and characters. Fortunately, out of the blue, I had this weird Korean nostalgic epiphany after randomly viewing The Moon That Embraces the Sun (TMTETS). And since TMTETS hasn't finished airing, I asked a friend for a list of recommendations. I was in a mood for a period/sageuk drama. Hence, I chose The Princess's Man. Boy, it was epic!

Where should I begin? I believe the correct first description is amazing. If you are still doubtful, then please do read on.
The pacing of The Princess's Man is just near perfect (at least in the latter half). If read more report I found this review Helpful Not Helpful -

The actors chemistry is definitely superb. They made me smile and cry at the same time. The "Romeo x Juliet" story was totally heart breaking, and a lot more well-done.
The plot was the thing that made be more excited and, at the same time, more upset. They rush the first episodes, where the viewer watch their feelings for each other, making us confused about how their feelings were so deep.
The plot was damn exciting, every episode had their own twist. That was read more report I found this review Helpful Not Helpful -

Once, my friend and I were talking about which drama we preferred. And she said "One that would make me cry."
Well if i had the chance i would definitely would suggest her to watch this.
I have to say the acting was simply great. Those characters that I despised in the beginning changed my thoughts in the end. I was actually crying for them. It turned out to be a lesson for them.
I loved the romance. This is a great remake of Romeo and Juliet!!!!
As for the story of revenge. I thought about what the writer was thinking. In my mind read more report I found this review Helpful Not Helpful -

The story was phenomenal, you just can't stop watching the moment you start and it continues to pull you in until the very end. I couldn't count the amount of times I cried. It's a very moving story and you cant help but feel attached to the characters and feel sympathy for them.
Acting:
The Acting was amazing! I especially liked Park Shi Hoo, he did such a great job portraying Kim Seung Yoo's rollarcoaster ride of emotions. I liked him so much that I will probably go and watch more of the dramas he is in. Everyone else did a wonderful job as well.
Music:
The music was good....at first, but once you hit the further episodes you're begging for them to stop playing read more report I found this review Helpful Not Helpful
