  • Both are essentially make-over dramas. While YNSH focuses heavily on a romantic aspect more than Nobuta does. They have a lot of similar qualities. Nobuta is more comical than YNSH as well but still both convey good messages. Kamenashi Kazuya also stars in both of these dramas.

  • Both are dramas about bullying in high school. Nobuta wo Produce concentrates on comedy while LIFE goes much more deeper.

  • Even if KNT is just a movie and has more romance than NWP, but Sawako and Nobuta are somewhat alike and i believe that if you liked one you`ll enjoy the other too.

  • Both are make over dramas. Boys Este is corny but has more hot guys than Nobuta Wo Produce. Nobuta has the better story IMO.

  • The storyline is a bit similar since it also deals with an "awkward" girl that is bullied by her classmate ! But the overall story is still different and since it's a drama it's more detailled ^^ Oh and of course there a love story too ^^ and well... how can you miss it since the actors are yamapi, maki and kame haha

  • it will give you the same warmth watching each episode. I guess because they both have the same screenwriter. Both main actors are living ordinary days in their lives and changes happened as supporting characters enter the plot. Yey!

  • They're both school dramas and the female leads are very similar.

  • Both are high school coming-of-age stories with a light romantic element. Both have a poetic/surreal quality and explore concepts of acceptance and normalcy.

  • Both about friendship within a high school theme without romance

  • both, at first glance, appear to have the same cliche plot: an average, unpopular girl being given a makeover so that many other people would like her. Yet there is something about both these dramas that touches you. Makes you mesmerized in spite of yourself. Miss Korea is unexpectedly gritty, showing the more distasteful sides of the pageant without pulling any punches. The characters, even the supporting ones, have much chemistry and are fascinatingly acted. Meanwhile, Nobuta wo Produce is a heart-warming story about a shy, isolated high school girl coming to her own and getting confidence. While it doesn't have any romance, the friendship she has with the two boys are one of the most touching I have ever seen. Both dramas can't be missed and while they are both extremely different in tone, their similarities might be just enough to make you like the other.

  • Both starred the dearest Kamenashi Kazuya in it, and it involves a weird girl being exposed to the tendencies of living a normal life. Both have a balance sense of comedy and drama, although YamaNade has more romance in it than Nobuta Wo Produce. Nevertheless, both are enjoyable and worth a watch! :)
