I have always found it hard to finish dramas, but this one was super easy for me! I was checking every week for new episodes ;) It kept me interested throughout the whole series and I can safely say this is my favourite drama ;) Okay, on to the review!

Story - 10/10 I loved the storyline, it was a mix of everything. Sweet, Romantic, Tragedy, Comedy, etc. The only thing that I thought sucked was that a lot of the characters led a really sad life ;( And I won't spoil, but they did take out a love storyline that I would've been very interested in watching!

Acting/Cast - 10/10 One word: AMAZING. This is the best cast I have ever seen... they all had

I was a little hesitant to start watching the drama, because of the storyline. It didn't seem like it was going to be a good drama. When I started watching it I really did expect the story to be overtaken by the conversation of politics and sadness, but it was the exact opposite. The romance in this drama was so beautiful! There was, of course, some political talk, and sadness, but it was replaced with very humorous moments that I have not ever seen in a historical drama before. There were times when I was desperately heartbroken, and others where I was literally unable to breathe, because of something being extremely hilarious. The acting was great all the way through. I have to give huge props read more

I just finished watching this awesome drama. I am probably biased as I love saeguks and I found this drama very beautiful to watch because of the great settings, costumes and OST. The story was interesting, although I would have enjoyed it more if it had less magic, the acting was good for most actors except for the queen in her older version which is why I am giving it a 9. Unfortunately I felt there was not so much chemistry between the two mostly because of her lack of facial expressions, whereas the king was superb (both in the younger and older versions)which adds another actor to my list of whom to keep an eye on in the future.

i was not sure watching a historical drama is a good idea but it kept me hooked so i liked it , but when people with onesided love died in the end it made me cry , over all it was worth watching

Actually, it'll be better if the story focused on Lee Hwon's and Yeon Woo's teenage life. It'll be more.... You know.. different. No Melodrama and shaman thingy. Also, no horrible classical ending!

I'm 7 episodes in and I really like it so far! I seriously loved the child cast in the first 5 eps, they were amazing. Still getting used to the main leads now lol, but so far I'm still liking it.

I wish this drama had a better writer and a better leading actress. It had so much potential :(

well I do not know much about the destiny of the lovers, but during the scene where the most dark and pale guy of the drama became teen king's best friend I thought that's the destiny. And his name is Woon? (Un) :) sweet :D

It gets better when she regains her memories (she becomes a little more like her younger self) but I do agree with you. I couldn't bring myself to like her and I rolled my eyes at her most of the time.

She does get a bit better but I probably would have rated the drama a 10 if she had resembled her younger, more interesting self a bit more
    • Chocobana Dec 2, 2012
Yes!! I don't know if it was the actors and the story itself, but the part where the characters were younger was much much more interesting/fun/awesome.
