While Faith wasn't perfect, it still ended up being obsession-inducing. There were so many good things that helped make up for the flaws.

But let's get the flaws out of the way first. The biggest problems were the directing and editing. There were so many scenes that could've been amazing if they had only been executed another way. The music was edited in awkwardly sometimes, too. And the fantasy aspect was underused as well as some characters (Jang Bin, Eum Ja, Hwa Soo, etc). As one of my friends put it "this show doesn't seem to know how good it is."

But let's talk about all the awesome that made up for the flaws. I think the cast was AMAZING. Lee Min Ho did an amazing

To me, Faith felt like a wonderful combination of a great RPG video game and an old anime called Fushigi Yugi. There were times when the show dragged, as pointed out numerous times in other reviews, but for the most part, this drama was really great to watch.

This was my first "historical", and I use the word loosely because I understand that this is by no means a real historical, in that there is time travel and magic. The time travel aspect isn't really unique, especially with the recent crop of dramas this year utilizing it. However, the magic was first for me, though I wish they had handled it better, or maybe utilized an explanation a little bit more. No one in the present

omo omo omo... No mayor crises. except for me screaming at my pc... those writers gave me some major hard attacks, seriously.i had to stop the episode at some points to calm down and to remind me that's just a drama. >.<' but we have our happy end, after nearly 50 min of torture. Ah, can't LMH stay like that? I mean with the beard and the hair like that? I WOULD TAKE HIM.

my heart stopped when she came back the first time and he wasn't there. I was so mad at this moment because i remembered that she has been there already and leaving signs for the later Eun Soo. I really thought it was over. But, it's not.:D I cried when she took the "pictures" of them bidding them farewell. So sad. They really did a good job in pretending one of them would die. Seriously.

I would've liked another kiss, but the bed-face-touch-hand-kissy-ness was pretty good, too. I think the ending was kinda rushed and there were still some questions left unanswered, but I still liked it, especially when they saw eachother again. ^_^

Ok, I am at a loss for words after watching the last episode. It was really looking like I was going to hate the ending, and honestly, I didn't love it. It finally explains everything about the journal and all the little clues Eun Soo was leaving 100 years earlier, all in about 10 mins of course. **MAJOR SPOILER** But I just about died when she came back through the portal and ended up in a different time than Choi Young and he wasn't there anymore!! Thank god the writers didn't leave it like that but, man, it definitely got a "what the hell?!?!" reaction out of me! I just really don't know what else to say about the ending right now. Not really what I expected I guess....

yes but, she went again to the future, but she was sent in a difference time again, but it was 5years after all what happened!! personnaly i think that the writer did a great job with end, he explained all the things about the journal & we have a big ES & CY together :) <3
    • Meg1014 Oct 31, 2012
I got all that and thinking it over the ending really did fit. Since they still needed to explain the "past" Eun Soo when she returned 100 years prior to Choi Young you get that "ok, I get it now" moment. Guess it just took me by surprise since, for once, I really couldn't predict how this drama was going to end up until the very last minute. I really couldn't predict much the whole time actually and that's why I loved this drama so much. Never got bored with it and they kept you on your toes through the entire series. A+ for this one!

I don't think she's the OLD Hwata... At least not how they explained it. Would I be wrong to hope for a sequel/prequel to explain that 1000 year old part as well?

Sorry for the long comment. Don't even bother reading it. :P

One thing I'm not getting (again) is how did the same events happen 100 years ago? /:) So for the past 100 years, they didn't change kings, queens or even dynasties? And how did the "Hwata" know that EunSoo will come 100 years later? Will I find the answer in the later episodes or at least in the last. I hope I do 'cause I'll rate this drama low if I don't.

And a comment about the king: They say that he's young... but for me, he looks like someone in his 30s. A king is supposed to stand tall and mighty, right? But how come his height is smaller than the queen's? The king is laughable. I blame whoever cast him but I'm not saying his acting is bad. It's just unbelievable. His acting is indeed impressive -- he just lacks height. -___-

It's not like everything was the same 100 years ago, but rather that Eun Soo went back in time after her first time slip. That's how she knew all that stuff that was going to happen and where to place the hints. It's a little mind twisting... I doubt the drama will explain it properly, as you can't really explain it without going in circles.

The historic Gongmin became King when he was in his early twenties and the actor is 25, so I think the age is appropriate. I think you can stand tall without being actually tall. It's about the aura, and he definitly has that imo. Plus, if he was taller than all of the rest, him being afraid of Yuan would seem ridiculous. In this drama the king is a person who grows to be a king and I think you can see him growing stronger - his size doesn't matter actually but I think it's smart to make him short.

I'm still at episode 21 so I don't know anything about the 1st time slip or whatsoever (or maybe I just missed that out from the previous episodes and i'm really getting confused about what's happening and all) but thanks for the heads up.

And sorry to say this, but I think you forgot to click "Spoiler?" Some people are really sensitive about the spoilers. haha.

and i'm not bashing the king's height. It's just (for me) it doesn't look good when the queen is taller than the king. And it's just funny how when they walk in groups, you could actually see the big difference in height. haha. I don't hate it or anything in particular, it's just solely based on my opinion. Sorry. ;)
    • Mareina Oct 30, 2012
Yes I forgot the spoiler T_T but somehow I can't fix it >.< Sorry...
I think all the information was before episode 21, but there really is a lack of proper explanation. Though she did mention something about going back in some letter or diary part, if I remember correctly.
    • canyousaywhuut Oct 30, 2012
I dont remember anything about any time slips being mentioned but anyhow, i'm still not getting that part of the story. hihi. I just wish they explain it clearly in the later episodes. T__T Thank you. :D
    • fuyushita_risou Oct 30, 2012
I am not satisfied with the king either, but if read about the real Gongmin than the screenwriters did a good job to portray him. Goryeo was at its end and really unstable at this time with a lot of corruption. Gongmin tried to establish reforms but failed because the aristocracy wouldn't accept them (hence there were two assasinations and the last one worked) In some ways he was or tried to be a good king but he couldn't change the circumstances. But Gongmin in the drama annoyed me, too (even though it was near the truth)
