The 64th NHK Asadora Renzoku Drama is Churasan, a story of a young woman, Kohagura Eri, who was born in Kohamajima Island, Okinawa, on May 15, 1972, the day when Okinawa was returned to Japan from the U.S. Eleven years later, Kamimura Shizuko and her two sons, Kazuya and Fumiya, come from Tokyo to stay as the guests of a small inn run by Eri’s family. Eri’s fun-loving yet eccentric family welcomes them warmly. However, Eri is shocked to hear one of the sons, Kazuya, is terminally ill, and Shizuko and her sons come to Okinawa to spend their last moment together in beautiful nature. Fumiya, Kazuya’s younger brother, and Eri promise to marry each other someday. However, after Kazuya’s death, Fumiya and his mother leave the island to go back to Tokyo. Years later, they are reunited, Eri as a nurse and Fumiya, a doctor, working at the same hospital in Tokyo. (Source: D-addicts) Edit Translation

ChuraDORAMA!!! A mere "10" doesn't even come close to defining how superb this lil' gem is (heh..."...lil'..."...with its 156 eps, not that lil', actually ^_^) though it's kinda difficult to describe it without giving away anything (and that'd be a pity, as it'd take away from future viewers the pleasure of discovering it step by step), therefore I'll limit myself to this very short - and if I may say so myself, quite apt - description: "the poetry of life" ^_^ Huge congrats to everyone involved in this production, with honorable mentions for the script (oh, those witty, theatrical dialogues! and then again, it makes you laugh, cry, think, dream...the whole nine yards!) and for these actors/actresses in particular: Kuninaka Ryoko (a wonderful lead!), Sakai Masaaki (a very funny father!), Murata Takehiro (oh, those hilarious monologues!), Kanno Miho (a perfect tsundere!) and Taira Tomi (the überwise Obaa!). M-A-S-T-E-R-P-I-E-C-E!!!

not the best asadora, but it's still worth watching because I liked it!

Churasan tells the story of destiny, how a childhood promise came true with various unexpected encounters.

THINGS I DON'T LIKE:
1. At first the father and older brother were very useless, not even the characters I liked.
2. How the heroine and male lead start their relationship, in my opinion, its not written well.
3. Because this is an old production drama, the conflict is still cliche which is a bit annoying.

THINGS I LIKE:
1. The heroine is like a ball full of energy and always full of smiles, and she loved by everyone.
2. The relationship between heroin and her little brother really makes people envious.
3. How the character that I didn't like at first became better in the end.
4. How over time the male lead becomes more and more similar to heroine and the Kohagura family haha
5. In this drama the comedy is very funny, I laughed out loud MANY times.
6. And what I like the MOST is that heroine's relationship with the residents of the apartment complex, very unique and they become friends for life.

Overall I like this asadora! Even though it starts with a sad story, along the way there will be stories that will make your stomach hurt from laughing, and there will be a main story that is a little heavy, but will end with a quite satisfying and warm story.
