One Stars

kim sooyeon's life has reached rock bottom, after the execution of her abusive father for being charged with murder, the news circulates around the neighborhood, as a result, becomes shamed and avoided by students at school and residents living in the same neighborhood and her mother turns to alchohol as a coping mechanism. When all meaning in her life was lost, a glimmer of hope appeared. Han jungwoo a fellow classmate offers friendship despite her being known as "the daughter of a murderer", which makes her life look up. The interactions between Sooyeon and Jungwoo were very heartwarming and wholesome to see, making me very attached to the two characters. As the friendship blossoms, her life starts to look up in spite of recent events, but when the two are kidnapped and soyeon claimed to be dead by the caught culprit, the whole in my heart that was filled with the bond between the main protogonists is used to carve out a gaping hole. The acting is phenomenal. I could't belive it was possible for such young people to act like this. The mothers emotional breakdown when her last essence of hope disappeared. the detectives rage towards the kidnappers. soyeon has reached the lowest point in her life and when hope emergres, is hit with more traumatic events. i believed she died and i couldnt stop crying. I didnt just feel sad watching but was left depressed at how things that meant the most to you in life can be taken away instantaneously. The first 5 epsidoes are some the most tear jerking watches ive ever experience. after epsiode 5, I was confused that there were 16 epsiodes left, wasn't sure there was ntenough areas to explore to justify an extra 16 hours of watch time. but since i enjoyed the first 5 then the following epsiodes must be really good too. wrong. i had watched until epsidoe 9 and couldnt handle anymore.I didn't understand how the mother isnatntly recognized zoey was her daughter and eunjoo and jungwoo said she looked nothing like sooyeon. unless i did plastic surgery, there shouldnt be any crazy difference in how you look when you are 15 and 29, thats just ridiculous. i dont understand why zoey didnt go back to her home after she escaped being kidnapped. i mean sure she resented jungwoo for abandoning her, but she still has her mother. like didnt she think that about how her mother must feel thinking her only child has been dead for 14 years, there was no reason for her not to g o back to her, didnt she miss her too. the adult versions of protogonists feel too lifeless compared to when they were kids, when they were kids they had cute and fun interactions but because zoey is trying to hide the fact that she is sooyeon, my main incentive for watching the show is gone. instead every epsiode we have to endure the same sequence of jungwoo says something he said to her when they were young, but zoey acts confused and denys being sooyeon, then jungwoo tears up becuase he misses her and this happens everytime they speak and the same thing happens evrery time they speak. then i dont get why jungwoo randomly says he likes zoey asks her on a date when all there interactions are just jungwoo being like you are sooyeon and zoey being like no. even if zoey is trying to hide her being sooyeon because she resents jungwoo for abandoning her, i dont understand why thats a reason for hiding her identity, like if she just says she is sooyeon, then jungwoo could explain why he did that and he could just leave you alone cause if he annoys you that much even if you dont forgive him. another important part of the plot is that the kidnapper was killed and the cops are investigating who killed him, but i dont really care who did because i didnt come here to watch a mystery sage, i came becasue the characters had me emotionally invested. i couldnt care less about harry borrison and jungwoos father. spent four hours to wait for something interesting to happen, but not enoguh progress is occuring and i cant endure another 12 hours of this. the first 5 epsiodes i would rate 10/10 but then the rest of the epsidoes is a 1/10
