Kim Tan is heir to the Empire Group sent to study abroad in the U.S. In reality it's a form of exile, as his elder half-brother back home schemes to take over the family business. While in the States, Kim Tan bumps into Cha Eun Sang, who arrived from Korea in search of her older sister. He feels himself falling for her, never realizing that she's the daughter of his family's housekeeper. When his fiancée Rachel Yoo arrives to bring him back to Korea, his heart is torn between love and duty.

Overall, I don't find this drama attractive to me. What people love about this drama is actually the casts, which I do agree since I watched finish this drama because of Woobin and more. However, the story plot is just simply too boring, or should I say, common. It is just a normal story of a poor girl who falls in love with a rich guy and together, they faced problems due to the difference in their social status. Furthermore, they focused too much on the main leads that there is not enough space for the other casts like Haneul, Hyungsik, Krystal and Minhyuk to elaborate more on their characters.
However, on the other hand, I like the acting especially Woobin's. The part when he reunites

A suuuper long review coming up, brace yourselves... XD

This drama was the biggest disappointment of 2013. I started watching it because of all the hype around it and for the first two episodes, I was actually really excited. However, it soon became evident that this drama was not going to live up to the expectations that I held.

The very first sign of the drama going seriously downhill was LA. Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely city but the way Americans were portrayed was just painful. Yeah, I'm sure those kind of people exist in the USA, just like they do everywhere else in this world, but do they really need to rely so heavily on a couple of stereotypes they've picked up from

  • Both have the idea of rich boy and a poor girl and having the girl transfer to the rich elite school plus lee min ho is the leading male actor in both dramas.

  • I know that those two dramas have very different plots but there's still something similar about them: the main female character because they both are nice girls interested just in work (they have many jobs) and not in romantic life (they don't really show their true feelings) also they both have a family member with disabilities (Eun Sang's mother/ Eun Sung's brother) and, what a coincidence, their names sound similar. ^^

Woo Bin was the only thing worthwhile in this hot mess. I watched all but the last 4 episodes and only lasted that long because of him. Yeah, his character was a SOB but he played it well so I gotta give him props. Other than that, this drama was a huge disappointment.

I really like Woo Bin, but I really don't understand ppl falling over Young Do as a character. I'm sorry but no matter how many childhood traumas/father issues he has, nothing justifies the level of bullying he used at school and even mental terrorism on Cha Eun Sang. Seriously, why would the writer make such a character? Yes, he had fun moments with his friend characters and showed the sources of his pain/grief, but I still cannot accept his behaviour. Then again, I also never understood the fascination with BOF's Goo Joon Pyo for pretty much the same reasons.

This drama was alright, but the one think that saved it for me was Kim Woo Bin and the actress that played Rachel, those two were really talented! <3

Honestly, I have a high expectation with this drama. All my friends are going all crazy because of this so I gave it a try. The A-list cast was the onLy reason I finished it. The storyline was bad and all too much drama is going on that I just got sick of it. The casts were really pleasing to the eyes but that's the only thing this drama has to offer. Sorry

i tuned into this drama bc im a fan of PSH and Lee Min Ho and thought "omg fave actors together?? it's gonna be great!" and boy was I wrong. I don't think it was the actors fault though, it was the writers. In the beginning they built up Eun Sang as a strong and no nonsense chracter, but once she got back to Korean and to high school it's like she lost her fiesty-ness. Like, after she got with Kim Tan what happened to her? idk the writer didnt really do a good job on her character.

This drama was okay.... there were some boring parts. But It's okay. I'll like it just because of Park Shin Hye, Lee Min Ho, Krystal, and Kang Min Hyuk!
