Gang-Pae (So Ji-Sub) has risen to the #2 rank in his mafia organization by using unflinching violence. Even though he has made his name by his violent nature, Gang-Pae has a softer side and loves nothing more than to catch a matinee showing all by himself. Meanwhile, Su-Ta (Kang Ji-Hwan) is a popular actor who has a similar violent edge. Su-Ta has already knocked one actor out of commission while filming a fight scene. One night, Gang-Pae hears that Su-Ta is drinking in the same bar and he orders one of his men to get Su-ta's autograph. The short-tempered Su-ta refuses and this leads to a confrontation between Gang-Pae and Su-Ta. A few days later, Su-Ta critically injures another actor while filming a fight scene. Filming now comes to a halt, because no other actors are willing to perform alongside the short tempered movie star. Su-ta then thinks backs to his confrontation with Gang-Pae and recalls Gang-Pae mentioning he performed as an extra in a film before. He then contacts Gang-Pae and offers him the co-starring role. Gang-Pae is willing to take the part, but only if they are to do the fight scenes for real. (AMW)

Punch! This movie is like a punch. Weird description, I know.

There were a lot of clever, artsy, indy details built into this movie that I got a real kick out of:

    1) They played up the fact that this is a movie with a movie in a very obvious and clever way.

    2) So Ji Sub's name is Kang Pae (gangster) and Kang Ji Hwan's name is Su Ta (star).

    3) The scripts for the "movie" in the shooting scenes were the actual script for the movie.

    4) And the ending...

I loved the intensity of both Ji Sub and Ji Hwan, their acting and characters. I loved that Ji Sub always wore black and Ji Hwan wore white. I loved the spoiled angry child

Two words "F-in Awesome" (edited language just for MDL). I loved this movie. That they use the actual movie script for the movie that is being made in the movie is like the ultimate irony (wow that was confusing). I really enjoyed watching this movie. I loved how every1 got so involved that what was supposed to be movie was confused w/ what was supposed to be reality. It was amazing and think every1 else will enjoy watching it.
