    1) The reason I watched this:

I have a psychiatrist friend who insisted on watching this film. She already knows that I don't mind any sort of special story no matter how horrific it is; I was fully prepared to any type of scenes and so I watched it.

    2) Storyline/Plot:

They weren't kidding when they said "This movie contains EXTREMELY graphic child abuse! Do not watch if you are easily disturbed.", I intentionally repeated it because this film isn't directed to all types of audience, even if you are an adult you can easily be disturbed.

    Positive points:

*It's a true story that focus on a world wide issue: a great topic.
*The producer wasn't afraid of showing the horrible fact to the audience.
    *The

I came into this film knowing what it was going to be about, but nothing could have prepared me for the impact of watching The Crucible. It was dark, violent, and quite honestly nauseating. I was on the verge of tears for nearly an hour and when the 1h36 mark hit, I had to pause the movie and did nothing but cry for the children. To think, this is real. This happened to these kids. When I hit play, from that moment on, tears were falling.

I will probably never be able to watch this movie again, but it is something you honestly must see. Yes, the images are disturbing. Yes, you will feel anger, sadness, and numbness, but this movie leaves an impression. The acting

First off, I would say that Juniko is actually lowballing it. I would give it a US rating of NC-17. AKA, 18+. If you are not an adult by legal definitions, pass this up. Read the news, don't watch the story. I have read extensively about this so I am going to add a bit about the factual accuracy of the story.

The director worked closely with the writer of the book and the victims. According to one article I read, he was too soft in the movie and that the reality was MUCH worse. He was doing his best to keep a balance between watchable and the truth.

What was shown was enough to make me physically ill. To give you an idea of my

First, if you are under the age of 16, do NOT watch this movie. Due to numerous shocking scenes, this is not a movie that should be seen by a younger audience. I know that a lot of you might want to watch this movie because you really liked Gong Yoo's acting in previous dramas, but if you are 15 or younger, this movie might have a greater impact on you than you might think.
    You've been warned.

Such a movie is impossible to rate. It's really hard to make the difference between the true story that captivates and shocks us, and the form, the way it is told, the movie. Personnally, on my MDL list, it is still rated N/A.

    Story...well there is no story,

wow where to start but that this show really pushed me to the point of sadness. My eyes became watery at times especially during the last part when they were protesting in the street. there were many scenes which really got me, the level of acting by the kids were great and painted a realistic picture of what happen to those real kids. this show has really open up my mind to the many wrong doings out there against our kids, regardless of any disabilities they might have. it pains my heart so much to know this was base off a real story....goes to show how much power we give money over our lives allowing it to rob the innocence of our children.

Everything in this is perfect and yes I am pretty sure all other reviewers have wrote this but do beware it is very graphic. I was so afraid to watch this knowing I will cry and be heartbroken that's why after hesitating for over a month I decided to watch. Everyone in the cast did an amazing job of acting, the kids, Gong Yoo and even the villians. It felt so real. I couldn't stop watching at all. It sucks that this happened a few years ago. The reason why I gave rewatching a 1 is because I don't want to go back and cry all over again but I loved it so 10/10 for me!

well how do i say this.....this was one of the best movies i have ever watched. the acting was fantastic. especially the children. at first i was scared to watch this movie because of the graphic scenes i was afraid of. but i dont regret forcing myself to. its a story that should be told. to raise awareness of the atrocities that happen in the world. this movie made me cry so much and i usually dont cry easily. BE WARNED this isnt an easy movie to deal with so if ur faint at heart and love happy endings this movie is not recommended. i mean not much i can say since the other reviews pretty much said it all but a very sad, emotional, and read more

I'm at a loss for words when it comes to this film. It is a beautiful adaption of such a horrific and sad story. You can't help but feel a part of this film when you watch it. Everything that happens to the characters you take personally because it's like you become them. I couldn't cry during this film no matter how much my eyes burned, I was too busy being angry at the people who did such horrible things to these sweet children. The acting of the children and Gong Yoo is outstanding. It is an amazing film and I recommend that everyone watch it to give them a better perspective on how harsh life can be.
    Happy Watching :)

great movie dealing with an extremely sensitive subject matter.

my one gripe with it was that it gets very uncomfortable to watch (trigger warnings all over the place) as the movie tends to be extremely graphic when describing and showing the type of abuse suffered by these children.

if you can stomach it, go for it.

Going to preface this review by letting you know that the sexual abuse in this movie is pretty graphic. And somewhat frequent. If that's something you can't handle, I would suggest not watching this movie.

Story: The story, sadly true, is about deaf and mute children who suffer constant sexual abuse from the people paid to protect them.

The movie is a lot more graphic than I would have originally imagined it being, and in the end, that's what makes this movie so amazing. It seems so incredibly real the whole time you're watching it that it just breaks your heart. Every scream, every tear, and every bit of abuse you witness on screen just tears you up inside.

I really enjoy the pace of the
