Ditto focuses on a female university student from 1979 who begins talking via HAM radio with another student from her school. They hope to meet, but through a series of misunderstandings she begins to realize that the other student lives in the year 2000. This bit of the supernatural serves as the foundation for an exchange between these two, who are separated by 20 years during which their culture has been transformed.

Although the story-line wasn't very creative I thought I should give it a try. I really like Yoo Ji Tae movies, and for once I needed to see him as a "good guy" :) He likes to play "dark characters to much for mine taste.

Let's start with good thing about this movie- music. It's really heart touching. And that will be it. Of course movie had some good moments but not enough. Connection between main leads was decent.

As for bad things, acting, story etc - Yoon So character was annoying beyond I could imagine. I never once felt that she's in love. And as for Ji-In character it was not so bad, but still not enough. I felt like I'm watching amateurish movie with

  • Both of these films focus on love that can never be. Ditto has more story to it whereas Classmates doesn't really have an in depth story, but both films are very good.

In my opinion I liked the story-line. The way the movie was put together had to make you watch it until the end to see the twist in the story.
But I agree with TIITEK that the acting was unfortunately not even near the average level...

Sounds like they used the idea from Frequency, except there was a plotlinme about father and son. Hmm.

Frequency was a good movie not like Ditto...

oh, I liked frequency for the father son storyline, for sure, the mechanics of time travel are less beliveable than, say, letters in il mare, but it was interesting to see how they manipulated time to get a happy ending lol. Because ditto does sound like frequency, i'm not really bothering with it.
This is time saved for something sounding more worthwhile lol.

I agree with your opinion on Frequency :) just to compare ditto with frequency I told the second one is a good movie, just to make a point how bad ditto really is.

good point :) remakes are frequently just not a good idea.

So that's what the american movie was called. When I heard the plotline for the first time, "Frequency" popped up in my mind immediately.
