Watched this movie for both Park Bo Young (loved her in Speedy Scandal) and of course, the ethereal Song Joongki. I had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed in any way.

Although this movie was done in flashback, it was easy to follow and did not leave me confused (like certain flashback movies). The story line was great albeit a little too simple, with its fair share of hilarious antics and sad moments that had me crying like a baby. Nevertheless, the story was more than well-supported by an amazing cast. Bo Young was fantastic as Suni. She acted really well and her crying scenes made me cry MORE than her!

The star of the show has got to be Joong Ki, definitely. As much as

I seldom step into the theatre for movies as I could hardly sit still and concentrate for more than 1 hour. I usually watch movies at home. However, because of the fantastic reviews and box office this show has gotten from Korea, I decided that I would give this movie a chance at the theatre though it was a 2h 5min show.
The show started relatively slowly. For those who are not used to Korean shows, you may find it draggy. However, please keep your mind open. The setting and character building beginning would come useful in the plot in the middle.
I must say that what leaves a permanent impression was the acting of the cast. If I can give 20/10, I would have done

  • They are both amazing, yet in a way tragic, movies. Both of them deal with supernatural creatures (vampires and werewolves) but they both do so in a way where the supernatural part does not take away from the actual storyline whatsoever. Both of them talk about the sadness associated with being inhuman, and friendship/love that transcends generations (both of them have seemingly immortal characters). Lastly, both the endings leave you with a hole in your heart. That scary emptiness. You know what I mean. There are a lot more similarities, but I won't delve too far into detail. If you're curious, go see for yourself ^^

  • 'Dog' turned human romance story. Chul Soo (Song Joong Ki)'s character is like a wolf that suddenly gained a human body [yes he is a werewolf but this is how his character acts] where Shiro (Toyokawa Etsushi) is shown to be a guide dog given a human body to find the girl that raised him as a puppy. If you liked one you'll probably like the other.

I mean how can she forget about him after saying she would come back and asking him to wait for her?!! That's just too cruel and plain selfish!!!

Absolutely beautiful. I honestly don't even know what to say, if words can do it justice. I was completely blown away by the acting. As a viewer, I felt myself experiencing the intense ride of emotions that the characters portrayed and I'm so glad I watched this, and bummed that I didn't do it sooner. I'd recommend it to anyone!

I liked the movie even though I am not very into heartbreaking stories. It's amazing how Joong Ki could've delivered a lot of feelings without saying a single word.

    Great movie overall.

Oh God, yep this IS he best movie I;ve ever seen. The producers made an awesome movie, the plot is perfect, I love the way Joong Ki played his role, I could feel his emotions. But, the ending is too emotional, heartbreaking in a good way, I could never imagine such a-don't know how to describe- touching ending. I cried a lot and I still can't forget the ending, that is so beautiful and incredibly sad. This movie leaves a strong impression))
