A gangster movie with a comic twist.
Based on the fifth novel of a best-selling series by Hiroyuki Kurokawa, the film is not as artificial as it seems. The slacker, Ninomiya, works as a "construction consultant" who hires gangsters to resolve labor disputes, while gangster Kuwahara is one of his "contractors", although it's a new anti-gang law ...
The many twists that follow in the story provoke more laughter than dramatic clashes, the action scenes are also very good.
The film is grounded in realism about not only the lives of gangs, but also human nature, including the stubborn tendency to surprise. There are, however, no heart-warming revelations or inspirational personal bows. A movie that needs more potential.
