Been watching dramas since 2008. I'm a really massive fan of Korean cinema and directors such as Im Kwon-Taek, Park Chan-Wook, Kim Jee-woon, Lee Chang-dong, Jang Sun-woo etc.

Some of my favourite non-asian TV shows: Mad Men, Six Feet Under, Sons of Anarchy, Doctor Who, Being Human (UK), Dexter, Fringe, Community, Sherlock, Modern Family, 30 Rock, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Firefly and so the list goes on forever. Music wise rock music, classical, J-rock and K-pop. If it sounds good it sounds good. :)

What I look for in a drama; Character development, natural chemistry between the actors and most important a female lead I can either like or relate to and a male lead who isn't a backwards 2-dimensional misogynistic alpha male type.

Great actors help make a drama awesome.

SO...MDL Y U NO LET ME ADD MORE FAVOURITES?? In no particular order here are the people who narrowly missed out on the list. Tamaki Hiroshi, EITA, Matsuda Shota and Ikuta Toma. SWOONS. Great actors, great drama/film choices and wonderful work ethic. These guys know how to built natural rapport with other actors on whatever project they're working on.

Tetsuji Tamayama and Michael Zhang. SUPER underrated and versatile! Get a clue Taiwan/Japan...be all over them already! Jang Hyuk and Jerry Yan. Come on..charismatic leading men or what? Ueno Juri, Shinohara Ryoko, Yoon Eun-hye and Kim Sun-A. Kickass performances, play loveable characters or genuinely cool ones in less than typical dramas.

I need more dramas with awesome leading women who are independent, cool and fierce in an understated realistic way. Girls who will say:

    I like all three of them =) Especially Innocent Man, since I love all the dramas that deal with revenge... it's kind of... my topic XD Out of those from your list I also watched 49 Days, The Bridal Mask and Reply 1997 and loved them all!

    Dude. I first joined Tumblr and I'm like "hmm, looks kinda fun. I'll just follow some stuff and look it for funsies" and before long I'm this red-eyed Tumblr addict. I'm beginning to see the addiction to this thing... I need help in stopping the hours from flying away to the Tumblr vacuum D:

    Yup, if it turns out badly or a fave show gets canceled I feel murderous. Asian d's are too short for cancellations and if it sucks, my rage is toned down to a typed rant. So much less stress.

    Haha, that's probably the much smarter way to deal with them. And yes! The picture of calm, weather-wise, with autumn blessedly rolling in.

    Not as romantic as it seems in the movies, eh? xD The smells might be pretty tolerable for me since I grew up around large farm animals. Aahh I miss riding horses ;_; And always wanted to try riding on sands.

    Ah, seasons are troublesome. It's why I watch so little American TV. So many seasons that tend to be drawn out long after the show is dead :P Will have to look for Asi!

    P.S. Following you on Tumblr! I just got one recently, although I have yet to really do anything with it |D First glance: O. EM. GEE. Those chocolate gifs. I'm drooling a lake O.O

    i would recommend Mars - another taiwanese drama, i'm so into them atm and this one is my other fave tdrama.

    I haven't watched the Doctor yet D: I know, travesty. Life decided to be hectic, and then my housemate wanted me to wait until she could watch it with me, which won't be till tomorrow. But there's no thread?! I'll go make one! Aha, slightly nervous. I'll be breaking my new thread cherry. You'll have to let me know if I should use different images or any other changes.
