i felt the exact same way as you about this one ! its like you read my mind <3 ♥
So, there's no doubt that Yeon Woo Jin & Park Hye Soo's kisses were off-the-charts but even so, for me, it didn't make up for the 9-10 episodes where I had to wade through characters that purely suck. They tried to redeem everyone in the end, but as bad as they were for so long, I wasn't buying it. ..it just wasn't worth it, tbh...
I think I feel the most sorry for Yi Soo of anyone right now. She absolutely stole my heart and broke it. The award for biggest in self sacrifice I think goes to her, even when many viewers don't cut her slack thinking her obsessive love is pure selfishness. They're even willing to cut Woo Il slack, as I read the comments, because of "his childhood" but don't see the fact that Yi Soo has also done absolutely nothing wrong here. Hye Ji, as innocent as she was in the matter, still wasn't completely out of the wrong. In her inability to say, "no" she made a "mistake" with someone she didn't care about very much. Yi Soo did even less than that... Gong Seung Yeon put her acting chops on for these last 2 episodes! Little girl has done grown up before my very eyes. Gone are the days of the innocent wide-eyed doe staring admiringly at CNBlue Lee Jong Hyun..She's a lady now. ;)
Introverted Boss Episdoe 11:
Okay, check the ending of this episode. I swear I saw tongue, so I captured a few seconds of the 10 seconds it appeared on my screen. I want to believe it's coming from Yeon Woo Jin, but I have my doubts. It may very well be her going "all in" when given the opportunity. He seems more than willing to reciprocate. Kudos to Woo Jin-ah for being such a great actor & kisser to boot that he gets his young 22 year-old to put in some nice effort and throw her reputation and future to act "innocent roles" in the future to the wind. Not too many, even hardcore good looking, actors can get a girl to not be stiff as a board when doing a kiss scene, even for tvN.
What do you think? Tongue? His or Hers?
I want to know Yeon Woo Jin's secret! Saw him in Marriage, Not Dating back in 2014 and he looked WAY older back at that time. Now he doesn't even look 30ish at all. In this drama, he actually looks quite young, as in 10 years younger than his current age young. How is this guy reverse aging? I don't get it.
Btw.. I've seen Yoon Park in a few dramas like What Happens to My Family and more recently Please Come Back, Mister. What is it about Yoon Park that makes him go for the asshole roles? I really hated him as the son in What Happens, and disliked him in some others. He's like the dude in the drama I know I'm gonna hate right off the bat. I'm sure irl he's a nice guy, but I wish he'd stop taking such nasty roles. It's gonna make me hate even seeing his face at all anywhere.
What a crappy fucking spoiled brat POS sister Ro Woon is tbh. Like she's going around "revenge" this, "revenge" that, and she treated her sister like a nobody but her personal piggy bank and department store outlet. Who the fuck is this awful character and why in hell does the main lead male even fucking like her at all??? Out of guilt?? Why do I just not want this MC/OTP to happen right now??? Ugh! I thought this show was gonna be cute and I am 1/2 way through ep. 5 of a 16 episode show and I feel like I want to shoot everyone of these characters in the head except for the sister who offs herself. The sister is the only decent human being that's showed up in front of my face on the screen from this show. Seriously! Can it Git Good now?
I've been trying to watch this, but I just cannot stomach more than 1-2 episodes of this at a time. All the characters in this show to this point are loathsome in some form or fashion. Some I can forgive because they, supposedly, come by their horrible personalities from some injustice done to them...but still, I can only be so empathetic when your character is just so utterly annoying.
I saw a few 30 second trailers for later episodes that were cute. Honestly, it's the ONLY reason I'm not dropping this..because I'm hopeful it'll straighten itself out. I honestly hoped it would be quicker, but at episode 4 and I have to constantly fight the urge to fast forward through this crap. I know if I do, I'll miss key plot information..but it is such a f'ing struggle, I tell ya. This is only 16 episodes, and I sure up 30 seconds of cute in the last 2-3 episodes isn't all I'm gonna get, because I'll say right now, I starting to feel like it might not be worth it.
Why did so many people really like this show?? I mean, seriously, pretty & good-looking can only carry a show and characters so far..at what point do you stop drooling and pay attention to the fact that they all just suck?
Episode 7: So he's exchanged underwear and now he's got her living with him & sleeping in the same room, but he won't marry her and make her a proper woman because it might hurt her too much...revenge and all, you know? Telling ya, this dude's mentality is whacked. He clearly fits the sadistic Shogunate samurai male. Why do they all have to be so tortured? Emi needs her Kenshin right about now.

I seriously would like to know the thought process that happened here. What made Danson Tang read this script and say, "yeah, this is some quality stuff I want to be a part of here. This will really help my career." I think I was entertained a bit, but honestly I just watched it to see if I could figure out all the movies they lifted content from to put this together. I mean, A Walk To Remember isn't even about vampires. lol.
I had a hard time comprehending the hype over this show now that I've finished it. I actually started it 4 days ago, and never felt a rush to finish it, which is unusual for me. For me, it was going really well until about the 6th episode, when it got utterly repetitive. The constant attempt to pull emotions and tears from me started to get tired. I was right there even after the 3rd time of saying goodbye, but then, that's what this show ending up repeating, the long goodbye. Halfway through I was no longer as invested in the main OTP and became more interested in the 2nd Grim Reaper couple. Bringing in the demon brought back my interest, but not enough to have redeem the fact that there were lots of plot holes, a petty deity, and never understood why people couldn't move past history for sorrow, and leave only to return. That's where it all just seemed at times to give off contrived nonsense as some kind of romantic poetic theme and the show acted haughtier than it should have been during those times. If it stuck more with the rom-com elements instead of attempting the tearjerker, I'd have thought better of it. When any of them go to their spiritual monologue segments, halfway through I started rolling my eyes. You don't need to beat a dead horse and repeat the most impactful lines over and over again. It's best when they stand alone. I'm honestly sad to say this too. After all the reviews and comments, I wanted to like this more but just couldn't... 7.5/10 for me.
I hated this version so much I couldn't continue on. YuXun is portrayed in such a way she comes off as more of a bitch than a badass standing up for justice. Having Duan, or 2nd lead, actually become her boyfriend, while YuHai gets schooled on winning the heart of a girl from his sister destroyed the story for me. No longer is the OTP having their 1st romance with pure love. Additionally, YuXun is not the true catalyst for change. I mean, yeah, he is trying to change to win YuXun's heart, but the things he is doing are *not* because of her "words" or "actions" demanding "justice" but because his sister says, "this is what a girl wants from a man". She gets more credit... and the way this played out to this point just made, honestly, none of these characters really cool, interesting, or worth rooting for at all. I'm not invested in any of their relationships.. and watching YuXan insult YuHai after he stops teasing her and has confessed to her, is not enjoyable. I don't understand why the Chinese like portraying females as yelling, angry, shrews. You're dating another dude and this guy over here, who says he loves you, is trying to help you out, so you shit talk him over it now??? Nope, not my kind of story trope.
I'm reviewing it now since I watched ep. 15, and I already know that ep. 16 is just a bts of the show, so it's essentially over. I would so love the author of the Thai manga to do a sequel and continue with this story, and have the original actors reprise their parts for a season 2. This couple is one of the really good ones, whether boy/girl or boy/boy. If you're not into that kind of thing, then I'd see how you could say they're not adorable. But if you're not a person to have an issue with this matter, then these 2 are really great.
