Hello
, I am French and my english is not so good, still I'll do my best but you know...
I used to be fluent in english but apparently it's wearing off... I didn't know that could happen but well... yeah... it's happening... ![]()
My favorite drama of all the times is Boys over flowers (Korean version). I might have seen it now and might have hated it, but BOF is the drama that started my obsession for K-dramas so it's kind of special to me.
My first drama was "1% of anything" (I liked most of it) and at the time I didn't even know that K-drama was a thing. Then several months later while I was bored out of my mind and surfing aimlessly on a streaming site, somebody suggested to watch BOF... that was the beginning of my obsession for K-dramas. I am hooked since then but fortunatly to a lesser degree than in the very beginning which is better since I actually have to... you know... live my life!
I am watching dramas since December 2011 and after exactly 1 year I am down to
- 78 dramas completed &
- 53 movies completed
...hummm not too bad for 1 year of intensive, crazy, insane hours of watching dramas/movies!!!
My favourite dramas are the ones with strong loving-friendly relationship between parents and children, between siblings, between friends. I do like "love stories" but I am a sucker for a good drama/ movie with great friendship (I don't mean the friendships that get shattered because of a stupid love triangle but the ones that remain no matter what and even get stronger). Also I love love love silly dramas/ movies. Actually the more laugh, the better I feel and the better I feel the better I score. The dramas I dislike the most are the melodrama type. There are a few exeptions... but I hate seeing people suffering non stop through an entire drama so I stay away from crying fest & pain fest if I can because if I don't then I end up hating the drama which we can all agree is not the point.
Thus my score for a drama doesn't depends on how well the drama is done but rather depends on how much I enjoyed it (laugh, touching scenes, heartfelt declaration, crying because of too much cuteness or crying because of sadeness lol, etc...). I can give a drama/ movie a high score simply because I loved the relationship between some characters, even if the drama is so so, but since liking something is subjective, I guess it's ok !
