"If someone is to ask me what was the happiest moment in my life, my answer is always the same. It's this moment here and now." This drama is a pure love. From the first second to the last one. I'll be honest with you and tell you that I didn't have high expectations for this drama, but oh boy I was wrong. Really wrong. If someone is to ask me what is the best melodrama, without hesitation I'd say Marriage Contract.
The story seems very ordinary, yet very unique for me. It's like a hidden gem.The charm and beauty of this drama lies in the mood followed all through, you know that kind of mood we all know of those very beautiful and great old dramas you rewatch over and over again. So I can proudly say that Marriage Contract is my guilty pleasure. ;)
However, what'll make this drama forever engraved in my heart and soul is atmopshere( I liked the lighting in this drama, orange, yellow, blue), one of the best chemistries I've ever seen, natural, real and out of this world acting, fantastic characters and their natural developing, memorable music. I liked how this drama was getting better and better with every single scene and episode, without hysterical yelling, unnecessary illogical plots and happenings, and it was calm and logical till the end.

Acting was simply wow. Lee Seo Jin grow so much as an actor and his character is a heart of this drama. He freaking rocked this role. From the jerk to the sweet, caring and loveable husband, son and dad. His strong and powerful acting plus sexy dimples is not easily to be forgotten, for sure. And now what surprised me was Uee. I've always been neutral with her and I've thought that her acting is so-so, but she made me prove I was very, very wrong. She did a marvellous job. I simply can't get out of my mind the way she caress Eun Sung, how she holds back her tears, her gestures, biting her lip and smiling. She literally ruined me because she wasn't ashamed to show her deepest emotions, she cried when felt like crying, she smiled when she felt happy and she loves with all hear heart. She learned to appreciate life, to live in this moment without any regrets. Since I definitely agree with her she has my sincere respect for that. And our little Eun Sung. Withouth her this drama wouldn't be alive. That little girl is such a sweet heart. I've always adored kids since forever and that's maybe why dramas with kids are my weakness, but what can I do. Eun Sung made me to cry bucket of tears because that child is simply fantastic.
I have no words to describe that phenomal and electric chemistry. Both of them showed deepest and raw emotions, their gentle touching, passionate and sweet kisses, tight and warm hugs, their sincere tears and words for each other. As I said you have to see it for yourself, because explaining something wonderful as this is is impossible. I guarantee you that. ;)

Music is very beautiful especially that nice mumbling instrumental which played in the most fantastic moments. OSTs were also addicting and I listen them from time to time. :P

Marriage Contract is a drama full of life lessons with excellent dialogues and wise words. A drama which makes you appreciate and love your life. The one that will hit you hard, crawl under your skin and bones and forever be remembered.

This is the best detective crime mystery drama I've ever seen and drama that forever will be engraved in my heart. Everything about it is a pure perfection. From beginning till the end. In fact, what fascinated me more is that this drama becomes only better with every single episode, not losing its way, just becoming more and more perfect. How much I love this drama comes from this: When I was marathoning it I wasn't watching previews because I wanted to be surprised by awesomess of every episode, believe it or not.
I was seriously invested right from the beginning to the point where it ruined me emotionally. Totally. ;)
However, even though this drama gives an amazing thrill, mystery and crime to me the most important part and essence of Signal are definitely characters and their development. I didn't expect to give us such a human and touching side. That side of Signal made our heart be broken over and over again, to emotionally ruin us, to affect us in every possible way and to learn us some life lessons and essence of everything: "If we don't give up, there's still hope."And that's the only truth of life. :P

-I loved the whole idea of a main story: going back and forth, traveling from present to past, using walkie-talkies to communicate, how does it affects to present when past changes, I loved how they solved cases, how something new always appear, their way of thinking and of course I liked how they based it on a true stories. The world can be so cruel...

And now the part when I'm most excited to write are three main characters, Park Hae Young, Cha Soo Hyun and Lee Jae Han. They're outstanding, enormously awesome, well simply perfect. If you ask me to chose which one of them I loved the most, I'd say all three. I'd have no heart to chose, because my love for all of them are equal. Seriously. And it will forever stay that way. Why? Well, Cha Soo Hyun- she's the woman I really respect and love. With her past she's clumsy, naive, cute and brave, but with her present self- cold, devastated, tortured, victimized, but yet again brave, very brave. I remember that scene which made me shout to her "I love you so much, woman". because what she did, I believe only rare number of woman would be prepared and able to do that. She's definitely one of the best rookies, team leaders and females I've ever seen. ;) Park Hae Young- Gosh, how much I adore him. He's so intelligent, cool, brave and of course sexy. I liked how his mind worked, his relationship to Jae Han, his care for him, his fight untill the end. Hae Young is a man I'd definitely would be glad to have in my life. And my dearest Jae Han: A fair detective, a man where a word "give up" doesn't exist in his dictionary, a man with an honour and strong sense of justice a man as big as mountain, yet with a pure and great heart. I loved him to the core and I was rooting for him all the way, whenever he has done a right thing I was always saying "I adore you Jae Han." Also, his interactions with Soo Hyun in the past were so interasting, pure and sweet to me, I enjoyed to the fullest. He should be a proof to all of us: To never give up, to just keep going, because answer will come to us sooner or later, but in a right place and time.
One more thing I loved about this drama is that three main characters are connected, they feel each other with a strong bond. Their characters grow every time they become entagled with each other, be it in a past or present. Jae Han with Soo Hyun in a past, and with Hae Young in a present and a past, Soo Hyun with Hae Young (I seriously loved how they become so strong together, Hae Young slowly changed her) in a present and Hae Young with Soo Hyun in the present and Jae Han in the past. It's simply fantastic.

The strong point of Signal is definitely the out-of-earth acting. It's outstanding. KHS is very talanted actresses and most of all the beautiful one, because not only she's 45, but because she has that charm that makes you adore her. She rocked this role, that's for sure. How she managed to act from the girl who knows nothing about the world to the strong, wounded, painful woman I can only say BRAVO. I know LJH from before and this drama only made me love him more and more. He's amazing. His very professional acting, his voice, hands and the most beautiful profile and nose I've ever seen (I'm fangirling right now hahaha). My Lord, he is PERFECT. And our veteran and awesome actor JJW. After this role, he has become one of my favorite actors. Only words of praise.

And the osts... Gosh, the best of the best. My fav, ones are definitely "I will forget you"and "The Road." Though, every ost is memorable to me and I'm listening it everyday. Somehow, every ost is related to the specific character and scenes and listening them I keep remembering this drama over and over, so I can never forget it. :P

Would I rewatch it? YES. Definitely, without a thinking yes. I already have an urge to watch it again, I just want to erase my memories and watch it. Like I said it before to me it's the best detective drama EVER, a drama where it taught to me that no matter how hard and difficult it gets, what matters the most it to never lose hope and faith, because everything falls into place and that even though you can't change the past, you can be a reason for a good change in a future. So, if you ask me, I'd say go and watch it right now, you'll not regret it, for sure. ;)

“I could not return to my youth or that street either. Time always flows. Everything passes by and ages. That might be why youth is beautiful. Because it shines, blindingly bright at a brilliant short moment. But you can never go back (to it). A time when many tears was shed – like my youth.” -Deok Sun-

There are some dramas that makes you remember them forever and Reply 1988 is definitely one of them. It's simply remarkable. If I could give a 100, I'd gladly do that with the full heart. Because it freaking deserves it.

I've been always been bound to 70's and 80's, because it's a time of my parents, their youth, happy days, their life and exciting stories and I've always listened them with a whole heart and a glowing eyes when they talked about their days. So, as this drama brings nostalgic feeling that's probably why I even LOVE it more. The lives of five teenagers, their parents and siblings are shown to the perfection that I wished I was with them there, sharing happiness and sadness together. That's how much influence this drama had and still has on me.

Out of all Reply series this is the BEST one for me. I loved how this drama showed problems our families face every day, where everything is not only black and white, yet grey, where we need to make a decision between what is right and what we want. The caring and loving of a family is the biggest gift we have, because no one will love you as your family do, especially your mom. Oh yes, since I'm on a mom theme, this drama the nearest shows how our mothers sacrifices everything for us, our happiness. That notion stroke me right into my heart, because my mom is the big victim for me and my brother. And that's probably why I got into this drama characters and stories. Another facinating thing is that great friendship we have only once in our lifetime. No matter how tough and hard it gets, besides your family, your friends are always there to give you support and to consule you. That was the case in this drama too. All five characters showed a true and pure picture of friendship. Five characters with different personalities, interests and thinking are together since childhood and became inseparable since then. Together they were stronger, together they were braver and together they loved more. I'm getting goosebumps just writing these words.

Characters are everything to this drama. Every single of them is written with a much thought that you really wanted to know all of their stories. I liked Deok Seon. She is funny, caring, loved by everyone and she's the only girl in their group. So, I wanted to be her with all those gorgeous and funny men. Ryu Joon Yeol, that man is a pure hotness. His character, Jung Hwan, stole my attention, I have to admit. His character is perfect, a man every girl wants. On the outside you think he doesn't care about anything, but in fact he's very caring and loveable. He doesn't know to express himself and as he said himself, he always misses timing and that's why he was always late for some stuffs. However, his heart is pure, honest, his smile very alluring and that's why he won me over. I experienced Choi Taek (Park Bo Gum) as someone who needs protection, clumsy, but very intelligent man, but through the whole drama I felt him like their dongsaeng, they cared and prepared everything to him, like a baby. He is the cutest one. Then, it comes Sun Woo, the man which I love dearly. He's such a cool character. Sun Woo is smart, the only man in his family he protects his mother and little sister, but also a man who needs love and attention. As the drama goes, his story becomes very interesting, so I can say that he's my favorite right after Jung Hwan. And last but not least is Dong Ryong. Oh man, I laughed so hard whenever he's on screen. His awesome sense for humor, charm, care is just to be wished for. A man every person needs for a friend. The ace of a group. ;)

However, what gives charm to this drama is parents and supporting characters. The family which I adored the most is definitely Jung Hwan's and his mom so much reminded my of my mom and I guess that's why I felt his family more than others. Ra Mi Ran is mom to be proud of, just like Jung Hwan and his brother are, a wife to love and respect forever and a friend on who can always lean on. Gosh, I love that woman from the bottom of my heart. Along with her, Bo Ra is my second favorite character. She resembles so much of me in every single way. Do I need to say more? :P Every character is written in its own way, with faults and virtues, but together they try to overcome it and be happy.

Music is brilliant. Those old music has always been dearest to me, innocent, pure and brings nostalgic feeling. With so many great soundtracks, famous singers from that period they really tried to find them use them all at the right scene and moment. I've been listening the whole playlist all day, that's how much I loved it.

Reply 1988 became my top 5 drama. The whole drama exudes strongly, leaves the feeling of love and happiness and you just feel complete after watching every single episode. I simply lived with this drama.

“The reason I miss that time and that street isn’t only because I miss my younger self. It is because my parents’ youth, my friends’ youth – the youth of everything I loved was in that place. I regret not bidding a final farewell to the surrounding of my youth that can never be brought back together again. To the things that’ve already gone, to the time I can’t return to… I bid my belated farewell. Goodbye, my youth. Goodbye, Ssangmun-dong” -Deok Sun-

Remarkable drama! One of the rarest and best for me. Drama which deeply touched my heart and I know it'll stay with me forever. Everything, absolutely everything was just perfect. Honestly, I personally can't believe how much I cried and cried, smiled and smiled for this drama. I was invested in its story and characters I believe more than 100%. So I had to write a review, first for me and my emotions and then for you my beloved friends.
Story is one of the bests in a history of sageuks dramas. A hero kind drama with a beautiful bromance between Dong Soo and Woon, unforgettable friendship between all characters, mesmerizing sceneries, full action. In the beginning I didn't believe I will enjoy this much, but once I get into it, which didn't take me long, believe me I just couldn't stop watching it. I wanted to see more and more. Amazing twists, best villains, fighting, all that was perfectly combined leaving me no time to even think about something else. Every scene and every second was precious to me. Why it needed to move me so deep, just why?

Oh how many awesome, amazing characters are in this drama. In fact, that is the essence of this drama. Characters, their interactions with each other, characters developments, choosing their own paths of life, forgivness, regrets, sadness, repentance, happiness. And that's what moved me to the bones. I became very attached to characters, that I asked myself if I am okay, that it's just a drama, but something more in me was telling me that this is not some ordinary sagaeuk drama I used to watch most of the time. It is something different, very different.
Dong Soo is a hero, a protagonist of this drama. In fact, the are two. Dong Soo and Woon, since their lifes are followed from the younger days to the adult ones. Dong Soo choose to became a kind and persistent man towards his dream to become the best Swordman of Joseon, while Woon who wanted to end his unfortunate life, choose an easy way and became an assassin (I called it easy because it was the easiest way, he just wanted to escape the unhappiness he had no matter where and what). And from that moment on their lives became one cruel fate which they couldn't avoid.
Jin Joo was an amazing character! I loved her so much. Brave, strong and independent. Her sad life was indeed sad. I became so attached to her that I could feel what she felt, like her character was alive and was standing beside me telling me about her shitty life. Her fate really played with her, but she couldn't escape it.
That monk girl or Ji Sun - no comment. Seriously. I felt like she was there just like that.
Besides main leads, there are many stellar actors and characters. Whom I loved the most are definitely Cheon Soo (Sky Lord), Ji and Swordmaster. Cheon was a BEST villain ever, although I never felt like that, since his story was very moving and sad, that I just couldn't hate him. His love towards Ji was a painful, unrequited one which was just sad and I cried and cried. She loved Swordmaster, but never had a courage to actually go to him, because she knew what her fate is. Their story was really painful and it touched me to the core. I'll NEVER EVER forget them, their longing, regrets and sadness. I swear, I've never in my life cried this much for a drama, never. I guess this drama stroke me right in the heart!!!

************* SPOILERS******************* ABOUT: Jin Joo; Woon

Okay, I personally believe Jin Joo's ending was some kind of a ridicilous one. It seemed like writers forced a painter on her, just to pair her up with someone. Even now I can't understand how Dong Soo forgot when she kissed him and asked him to marry her when they were younger. And the beginning of their story was leading that they'll end up together, but when they got older he fell in love with that monk girl. It does not make a friggin' sense to me, seriously. She was a brave, strong and kind character and I just adore when a girl knows how to fight. She is not hiding behind someone, waiting to someone protect her and that's what I respected the most about her character. Also, I somehow, without knowing became very attached to her character, that when first she lost her mother I cried a river, then when she lost her father I cried a river again. She just ruined me emotionally. I loved how she, the only one didn't hate Cheon, she considered him a friend, and he liked her too. I loved her when he called her "child", but when he died my heart broke. When she cried for him I cried with her together. Hehehe you can imagine how 'beautiful' sight it was. :P
Oh and how much I have to say for Woon-a. I FRIGGIN' LOVE HIM! He was the most unselfish person I've ever seen in my life. His endless love for a Dong Soo and Cho Rip really never ended. But that animal Cho Rip betrayed him. Ufff I hated him at the end I wish he was dead instead of my beloved Woon. He choose his life path and became an assassin, but he never felt like he belongs in Hok Sa Cho Rong. His body was there, but his heart and mind was with Dong Soo, Captain and Swordmaster. His character was the strongest. I actually felt his pain, longing and love that he missed. Plus, his performance was phenomenal, even though he was 18 years old back then. JUST BRAVO!
In the last episode, I knew that something will happen to him and I was praying that everything goes well, but that curse that followed him right from the time he was born did really take his life. Oh how much I cried when he said to Dong Soo: "You were my safe place, you've always been Dong Soo-ya. Now you don' t suffer anymore because of me." With those painful, tearful, sad words and the moment when he throw those swords and let Dong Soo kill him, I just couldn't take it anymore and bursted in tears, and cried who knows how long after that. One more precious moment is after that when Dong Soo is drinking and trying to forget about him, but in every new glass he sees him, more vividly than the previous one. Those moments are the ones I'll never forget in my life.

**************SPOILERS END***************

Although this drama had a million sad moments, moments that simply brake your heart, I didn't regret one thing. I simply lived with this drama.
Also OSTs are amazing. For every scene they put the right ones. Epic for epic, sad for sad, happy for happy ones. Oh and I think that each song is connected to some characters. Just by looking at its lyrics you can connect and say " Oh that song is meant for this and that character." I'm still listening the whole album and keep rememebering how precious moments are in this drama.

I'd gladly rewatch it, even I know I'll go through the same pain again, but nothing will stop me to rewatch this masterpiece. All in all, this drama showed me how strong and powerful friendship can be, and that the one who loves more is the weaker one. Unwritten rule, but totally true. This drama will always, I mean always have a special place in my heart.

I think that not writing a review for this splendid drama would be a shame, so I'll gladly volunteer and write one.

Once again I've confirmed my true love for sagueks. I was blown away by the brilliance of this drama right from the first episode. The way it is told, directed and acted is what makes this drama special for me. I've seen a lot sagueks, but this one is one of the rarest and I guarantee it'll stay in my heart... forever.
Story is quite unusual. In Yub, young noblewoman, precious and only child in househould falls in a status of a low-maid when her father gets accused of a treason. She then, must learn to adapt to a poor and cruel life of maids. With a help from Moo Myung, a servant with hidden identity and other maids in a household she learns what a true happiness and love in this world means.

Personally, watching this drama gave me a lot of emotions, I was 100% invested in a story and its characters' and I really respect when a writer can brings that to viewers. I call that quality. Every character is perfectly written, with its own story and depth giving this drama a darker tone and deepness. What I love the most is that the story is told of a maids' perspective, showing us their emotions and thoughts they had, what they can do and what they can't do. Also, a great demonstrating a difference between a noblemens' and maids', in fact a difference in their actions and their punishments for that. I have to say that it's a very cruel drama, however once you start it, story will pull you in and you won't be able to stop it. At least that was a case for me.

As I said before, characters are perfectly written, from the main to the supporting ones. There wasn't a single boring moment, because every character that is shown is worth showing and she/he will always have some influence on a plot. Believe it or not, but that's how it is.
I TOTALLY became a fan of Jung Yoo Mi. That girl blowed me away! Her acting is first what makes this drama worth a try. She made her character to be so believable and true, that I don't think any other acterss would be able to bring a character of In Yub as she did. BRAVO! Her struggle when she falls from the priveleged status to the one of the lowest in that period, her emotions, thoughts, actions is so very-well written. You could actually feel for her. Definitely going into my list of the strongest female characters. ;)
I adore Oh Ji Ho and they totally chose a right actor for a role of Moo Myung. Wooden, emotionless, cruel... ufff just right. Moo Myung is a servant with a hidden identity, clever, calculative and skilled man, a man that you don't know what he thinks. He's loyal to his masters, but when In Yub enters in his life, his world will change.
Actually, no matter how I love OJH, this time my attention stole Kim Dong Wook. Damn, that man sure deserve some prize. His wonderful performance to the sweet, kind-hearted to the evil man was absolutely AMAZING. However, I COULDN'T get angry no matter what he did. BECAUSE, all he has done and all he did was for a In Yub's sake. His endless love for her, really never ended. He is a true proof to that. And that's why his character is sooo special to me, really, really special.
Also, that girl Sa Wol is the most positive and kind-hearted character I've ever met in dramaland. Believe it or not, I cried for her at least three times. Likewise, all maids and servants in this drama are not just to be written, they did have a good reason to be made in this drama.

It's the first time I hear that in a drama, especially in saguek they didn't use any single ost. It's not that I'm complaining though. Even instrumentals were very beautiful and they exactly fitted the scenes.

If we were to look from the perspective of twists, cliffhangers and turn of events this drama gave, I would say that it's not something new, although there were REALLY some epic moments. But they way this drama is made and showed to the viewers is definitely worth giving a pure 10, for me. Cinematography, directing, clever, life lesson's dialogues and also very unique story is definitely worth to be remembered for. I'll never ever forget this outstanding drama.

"If the world went the way you thought, I'd have lived like you, too." The very realistic and true phrase ever said.

The first thing that caught my attention, or should I say that later it totally drew me in is when I found out that our main protagonist is a villain and that he helps bad people and cleans after their dirty work. It was very unusual for me since we are all used with a hero male lead right from the beginning. But, once he finds out that he has a couple of months to life and after his most precious people got infected with the evilness of those bad ones, he changes and fights against them. He's not fighting with fists, but with his intelligence and every episode makes you excited wanting to see who will throw the next 'punch'. How much I was happy and cheering for him at the same time I was angry and furious because how much punches he thrown thinking it will lead him to the winning that much punches were pushing him back. But, I can say that this guy is a true hero and even though he's playing dirty, he's doing it for his beloved ones, for a better tomorrow. I can say that I was maximum invested in a story and I can guarantee that you'll too. If not, you can freely yell at me and get angry.

Another thing that makes this drama strong and deep is its characters. What I loved the most is that every character is not black or white, what more they're all grey with its own faults and mistakes. It was really interesting to watch what character and to what extent he/she can becomes either evil or good. Our main villain, Tae Joon is one of the best and most fascinating villains ever. In fact, I wouldn't consider him a true, pure villain, hmm I'd rather call him a villain with emotions. He knows for a loyalty, respect and love. What this drama makes more special is the relationship he and Jung Hwan shared. Their relationship is some kind of special, filled with respect. I think that he considered Jung Hwan as his own son and that's why their bond never breaked even after Jung Hwan's death.
Our main hero, Jung Hwan as I said before is a man of words, a true hero. I loved that progress in a drama how he was turning from a cold-blooded and ruthless villain to a strong man and a fighter. Since the story is in fact all about characters and their life I don't want to spoil anything about him more.
And the woman I loved the most in this drama is Ha Gyung. Even though everyone around her are playing dirty she's the only one 'clean'. The only one who's following law and principles. She's not stupid nor idealistic. Ha Gyung knows that world is a corrupt, but she took the oath to make a world a better place and she's sticking to it. In a progress of helping Jung Hwan to correct his mistakes and to take care of his responsibilities they slowly learned and felt that their passion and love they had for each other once is not extinguished yet. She's the the female lead I dig and respect most in dramaland: strong and independent.

Oh how much I love when the writing is brilliant and smart, especially when the drama has smart, life lessons dialogues! And this was a case for this drama. Every thing they said, every sentence they sent each other are so smart, clever and well said. Hehe, the funny part is how most of them are related to food giving this drama a great metaphore and comparasion. Actually, using words they throw punches to each other's face.

I have so many words for this drama, but I don't want to ruin the excitement for you. I'm just going to say that it's one hell of a drama, full of suspense, thrilling, intensity and most importantly it'll keep you glued to the screen. I didn't get bored for a second, it's fast pacing with twists and turns on every corner leaving you behind an unforgettable enjoyment.

"The things I like: The sound of the camera shutter he makes, his big hands, smiling eyes and big embrace. Things I don't like: anything and everything that keeps me away from the things I like." - Such a powerful sentence!

Ok, since I always rate drama based on my enjoyment, involment in a story and its characters, plot I couldn't give this drama lower than 10 and I don't regret a single thing. Why?
First to say that I didn't start this drama when the pilot episode aired as I knew right from the start that I won't be able to handle the pain waiting for the next episode. So, I just tried to stay cool and resist it as much as possible. But, when all that crazy hype started on my feeds I just gave up and this drama won me over. The beginning was somewhat slow and so I was like "Ok, I'll continue watching it anyway." But, mamma mia when I got around ep 6 I got totally hooked like almost all of us here. Then, I totally understood all the hype, crazinees, fangirling, so I started doing that things myself too.
As I said before story is not a masterpiece, not something new or 'wow' but it's told in most brilliant and perfect way that you totally have no other choice then just enjoy in its talanted writing and directing. Every character, story started with a slow pace, but slowly got more and more its depth and colour.
What I loved, I mean the loved the most is the characters development. It's rare to see in a drama such a great connection between all of them, their trust, love towards each other may it be a special love for someone or may it be family's, every character was written and portrayed to the perfection. They all somehow slowly gained trust in each other, without any stupid doubts and misunderstandings like we get to see in most kdramas, unfortunately. Yup, I only have praise and one big respect for Song Ji Na and her wonderful brain and talent. She really made on my list one of the most respected and greatest kdrama writers. Now, get back to drama.
Another thing that makes my heart melt, or should I say beat is the great, the most romantic chemistry between Young Shin and Jung Hoo. No second male leads, no misunderstandings, no doubts, just trust and love. And that is the most important thing in a relationship as well in dramas as well in real life. I simply enjoyed in every single romantic scene of them as they had the chemistry right up to my taste. Natural and real. The main song is right written for them, describing their love and longing with a beautiful words. So to sum it up, this is just another plus, another reason why I gave a 10. They moved my heart, really.

Oh the actors. Well, without them this drama wouldn't be possible right? But, you have to choose the right ones for the right drama, right? And they were right. All 3 of them are phenomenal.
Ji Chang Wook, our main hero, known as a Healer is a night errand boy who is taking a job offers for a right sum of money. He never shows his face nor his identity, but when the girl entered in his life, he started to change. He wanted to be more freer, to love, to do things what normal people do. He proved to me that he's not only a handsome and beautiful face, but very talanted young man who will get more and more recognised and respected in a future. He definitely became one of my favorite actors and I think that he totally deserves it. Plus, he's very hot. Hehehe, let me fangirl a little ok? His puppy dog eyes, his puppy and innocent face when he's sleeping, his big shoulders, really a manly one, his voice, hands, body everything is sexy and perfect. Oh, is it getting hot in here?
Park Min Young as Chae Young Shin. Hmm, first let me say that I'm not some fan of her, but I don't hate her either. But, after watching her in this, she's slowly getting my respect. Young Shin is a tabloid reporter who has her own life and problems. She's not just average female lead where her world is all about the main guy and she'll die if they're not together. NO, it's very opposite of that. She's very strong, strong-willed, cheerful young lady who likes to dance, sings and who feels loved by her 'dad' and his gang. She was abandoned when she was young, so she misses mother's love, but despite all that Young Shin is still living to the fullest. When she first met Healer, she got curious in him, but later that curiosity developed into something more... love! Maybe PMY wasn't the best actress for this role, but she made it very believable. Oh, and one more thing, I LOVE this kinds of female leads! She trusted him, believed and never questioned Jung Hoo's decision or choice. And respect to that! ;)
Yoo Ji Tae as Kim Moon Hoo- Man, that guy is the most complex and loveable character EVER. He can be a badass, but at the same time he's the most charming one. He's a reporter who is only playing fairly. His brother has a big secret, which involves Young Shin and Jung Hoo too and he's determined to find out the truth by all means. I loved his character and YJT portayed phenomenally. When he cried, I cried too, when he laughed, I laughed too. So, yes as for two main heros the same goes for him, I lived with these characters.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention the most hilarious, coolest Ahjumma EVER. She was the higlight of every single episode and her relationship with Healer was in a coo, but professional way. I waited and waited 'till I finally got what I was looking for all the time from Ji Na. The team work: Healer, Ahjumma, Moon Ho and Young Shin. And then I was like "Yes, I'm completed now!"

I didn't got bored even for a second. Every single episode got me at the edge of my seat and I was just thirsty for more. There is always something happening, so there really was no time to yawn and say "Oh, this is boring, I'll continue later."At least that was a case for me. This may not be the best drama out there, but it sure got my full attention and interest so I'm happy that I get to joined in a long list of those who appreciated this drama. Speaking objectively, I think that this drama deserves a high rating as it has right now and all the hype and craziness were reasonable.

Also the music is really good. My definitely the favorite one is the main song which describes the love between main leads, as I said before. It's been on my ringtone for days hehehehe ;)

I'll definitely, for sure rewatch this drama! It totally deserves it! I laughed, cried, felt happy, sad, angry, got feels while watching this so it's a pure and full 10 from me. I lived with this drama.

Have you ever felt like you're living an Incomplete life? Have you ever thought that you're all alone in this world with no one around you to give you a hand of help? This drama is exactly about that. To be precise, it's a story about a man Jang Gae Re in his 20's who dreamed of becoming a professional Baduk player, but because of his family's financial situations he lost his only chance and instead through connections he started working in a big firm as an intern where he was like a stranger in his own country. It also follows everybody's incomplete life in that cruel world of office world. In general "Incomplete Life" lays bare the ugly truth of the world's workplaces. It depicts hierarchy and how people can sink so low to gain power. It narrates stories of discrimination based on educational background, connections, and gender. It audaciously presents sexual harassment, and how and why working women usually "grit their teeth and close their eyes." It's a drama where you have to endure all that pain, humilation, insults, selfishness and helpness just so you can survive in that very society.

So reading this you probably though "Oh what a cruel drama, I'll rather pass it." Hold on your thoughts, I'm not over yet! I'm gonna ask you a few questions ok? Do you like a slice of life dramas? Do you want to see a real characters where you can even find yourself in one of them and relate? Do you enjoy in a beautiful cinematography, clever and well said dialogues? Do you like inspirational, unique and original dramas? If the answers are yes, drop your previous thoughts and start watching this drama.
"Incomplete life" aka "Misaeng" left a big beautiful impression on me. This drama has something special in it, like none other has. You know when you're baking a cake and then add your own flavor which isn't written in a receipt and because of that it even tastes better? So yes, that's how this drama is for me, unique and original in it's own way and nothing can replace it. Though drama's runtime is one hour and 20 minutes, I never got bored unlike as for other dramas as I'm pretty sure I would. From the very beginning this drama has caught my eye and interest all to the very end. Since I like dramas where the reality is shown in a best way possible you can guess why I like this drama even more right? Also I loved how the friendship of four inters grow stronger and bigger by each episode and how they slowly got respected for their work from the bosses. Briefly, I can describe this drama with a few words: Beautiful, Original, Outstanding. I have only praise and one big respect for a script, directing, acting crew and I want to thank Mr. Yoo Tae Ho who brought this webtoon to a world, cause without it this drama wouldn't exist.

Acting is also a pure 10 from me. They really put a lot of effort to chose the right actors for the right roles and I can say that they didn't chose wrong. I enjoyed in every character's story, laughed, cried, felt angry, felt happy, simply I lived with them and a drama. Let's take a look at our heroes shall we?
Jang Gae Re (Im Shi Wan) is a poor man living with his mother. Once, he wanted to be a professional Baduk played, but since he has lost his chance, through connections he got into a large firm "One International" as an intern. But nothing was on his side there. He felt like a cast-off, ignored from his colleagues, gossiped, lonely and pitied. But, though he was in that situation, he didn't give up. From a help from Mr. Oh, Mr. Kang and 3 other inters he slowly started climbing to the sucess and step by step he got respected and recognised as a worker of "One International."
Oh Sang Shik, Mr. Oh (Lee Sung Min) personally speaking is my favorite character. He's a chef in a Sales Team 3, a team that is poorly recognised in a firm. He's strong, strict, funny, serious, passionate about work. He works in his own way, brings positive spirit and energy in a team. He's the first person who found a qualities in Gae Re, was there in Gae Re's hard times, a person who helped Gae Re to be something in a life. For me, Mr. Oh is a person which every men will love, a person with a strong personality and who stands for himself.
Kim Dong Shik, Mr. Kim (Kim Dae Myung) is also a member of Sales Team 3. He's a great support to Mr. Oh and he became friends with Gae Re. He's innocent, a pure man and he's always there for a help. He gives his everything for a team and keeps team in it's balance.
An Yeong Yi (Kang So Ra) is also an intern. She's 26 year old talented and outstanding woman. She's admired and envied for her competency and presence. She's calm, patient, upright and clever. She has a secret that's staining her smile.
Jang Baek Ki (Kang Ha Neul) controversial man. He's also one of the inters in "One International" and I had hard time reading through his character. Baek Ki can be warm now and cold as ice the next minute. He might defend a person vigorously and attack them the next moment. He's ambitious and wants to succeed quickly. He's judgemental and insecure, but also very intellegent person
Han Suk Yeol ( Byun Yo Han) is the 4th and last intern. How he started I thought that he would my hateful character, but who knew that after 5 episode he'd be one of my favorite characters. He's handsome, goofy, sociable, proud of his family and his work in a field. His character can really make your day, believe me!
Also, to not forget to mention Manager Kang( Oh Min Suk) whom I find very handsome and attractive. He's a boss of Baek Ki, a smart and a strict person. But, I couldn't take my eyes of him whenever he was on a screen.

As for the music I got to say that it's one of the bests this year, actually it's folloed right behind "It's okay that's love." The OSTs where you get inspired such as "Fly" , the OSTs where you simply feel in love such as "Dream", the OSTs where you feel sad such as "Tomorrow" and the list goes on. Does it give you anything if I tell you that I'm listening it every single day? Yes, that's how big is my love for the OSTs.

"Incomplete life" is a show where everyone, I mean everyone can identify with. You feel hope, faith and love while watching it and you can't help but simply fall in love with. Overall, I enjoyed in every second of this drama, it's characters and I can't forget a beautiful, inspirational and a wonderuful feelings this drama gave me. Will rewatch it in a future, cause this drama is worth that.
"A road opens as you tread along it. A road that isn't open isn't a road. Roads are open to everyone...But not everyone can have the roads. This is wrong. Another road has opened...And I am not alone."

And here it is! The Best drama of 2014 for me! Right from the start I believed in my guys and they didn't dissapoint me. If you're hesitant to watch it, may you should read this first. Who knows maybe I'll convince you ;)

Crime, detectives, action, invenstigation, blood, killers, victims, secrets, don't just by reading it excite you? I'm the biggest sucker for those kind of dramas and they always manage to make me feel good and give me exciting and indescribable feeling of happines and joy. But this drama was way more different than the others. Unique, original and rare.
Did you ever get a feeling to kickass somebody? Like some person that you can't stand, or is annoying to you? I know you do, cause there is no human being that is nice. Well you can pretend to be, but you can't run from dirty and ugly truth of you. And I know that I'm not wrong, even if I tried to deny who knows how many times. And this is what this drama is about. Speaking from my own angle of view while I was watching this drama I had that badass feeling and I got so into the story that I actually felt their pain, joy and a happiness of putting bad guys in jail to rot. Title "Bad guys" actually says itself so you can at least imagine what I think right?
As I said before I never watched a drama similar to this one. The story is simply brilliant and I want to thank the writer's mind and writer to bringing this drama into a dramaland. Former Detective Oh Gu Tak got a mission from Police Chef that in order to stop rising violent crime he must form a team and catch the culprits. He form a team by taking men with the worstest crimes' cases: a contract serial killer Tae Soo, the youngest serial killer, intellegent Jung Moon and a gangster Woong Chul. Bad guys killing bad guys, doesn't sound original? Every character has it's own story and secrets that are hidden deep inside their heart. By gaining trust the strong bond was formed and they started opening to each other. But, where's a trust there's a betrayal, but if you want to believe that person no matter how deep inside you think that he's wrong and bad betrayal again can be replaced by trust. This is a case of these guys. No matter how bad and dirty they were by learning to betrayal and trust they finally believed in each other. And those moments were so strong, emotional, powerful that they moved me to the bones.

Oh my how much I love Kim Sang Joon ahjussi. He is my love of older actors and I always say that he is born to play badass roles. That style suits him the best and in this drama he was no different. He potrays a former detective Oh Gu Tak who's lost his daughter due to a serial killing where his daughter was the last victim of it. Since then, his only goal was to put the bastard in jail.
Jo Dong Hyeok potrays a sexy contract killer, but very clever men. He's heartless, but when he develops feeling for a woman that he musn't love he changes.
My love Park Hae Jin potrays Lee Jung Moon, the youngest serial killer and very intellegent man. People see him as a psychopath and he has a bad past with Oh Gu Tak. Personally he was the most pitied character. His sad, teary eyes and innocent look were the moments where I couldn't help but cry whenever he was crying.
Awww my badass teddy bear will always be in a heart. Ma Dong Seok potrays Park Woong Cheol, a gangster who in a jail for almost 30 years. His character I experienced as a man who everything resolves with a fist and even though he's a bad man he hates evil people. He can be straight and very protective towards the people he cares.
I don't want to spoil anything to you anymore, but I'll simply just say this: These are guys who play by their own rule!

Every second of this spectacular drama was precious and worth. A deep, dark, violence drama with it's deep and strong characters, wonderful music, well made action scenes, twists that keeped me glued to screen for 11 hours brought me an enjoyment which I haven't enjoyed in a long time. Bad guys simply won my heart and will stay there forever. I LOVE you Bad Guys <3

This review may contain spoilers
This is my first time writing a review for a Chinese drama and Scarlet Heart has an honor for it.

I don't even know from where to begin with. You know when drama leaves you spechless, with many emotions that even after finishing it you can't gather yourself and keep replaying that song that reminds you of every single moment of a drama. Yes, that's how I am right now. Here I am sitting on a chair with tears in my eyes and writing a review for this wonderful drama.
I liked everything about this drama. Literally. The story-time travel, historical, romantic one, princes and Ruoxi who had so many beautiful relationships with them. One phenomenal story that will move you to bones. Beautiful China, deep, passionate love, season changing, scenery, every single detail is done in the most professional way that you totally forgot about the time and enjoy in this magnificent piece. Cecilia is a beautiful woman, so beautiful that I couldn't take my eyes of her. They way she acts, cries, loves is the wonderful enjoyment for my eyes. Everyone did a fantastic job in their own roles just like as it is written for them.
The part that made me bound for a drama is Ruoxi's relationships that she had with all princes. With one she was a drinking buddy, the one who understands her the most, with the other she was goofy and happy, with third she felt protected and with last she was in love with. Their interactions with each other, words, gestrures, glance they shared with each other simply crawls into your skin and you become a part of it.
Another thing that fascinated me is that every character in this drama has it's faults, nobody is perfect. As the story progress you see them change eather good or bad, precisely they changed in a way which their ambition led. Nobody's perfect, we all know that, we all make mistakes and regret later, we all have that moment of glory that makes us forget how we really were before, that moment when we all want to go to the past and correct things is something we all have and this was exactly the case in this drama. Their decions, mistakes, pain, sadness, happiness are made in such a stong way that you can feel it, understand why they done that and simply connect with every character in there.

***** SPOILER ALERT!*** ( About her relationship she had with princes, so if you want to know nothing, don't read it).

13th prince was the one for me. Right from the start. Their relationship was real, they understood each other completely, for him she didn't need to say anything, he'll understood her with one single gesture she makes. She liked him as her drinking buddy, but I, I felt that that is the real relationship between man and woman. He was there in her the most hardest times, happiest times, he was always there as a loyal friend. Soulmate friend. The scene when he deeply hugged her, directing her this words: "When the grass is green next year, old friends will no longer look the same. The sea holds our closest friends and the ends of the earth are our neighbours" moved me to bones and that's why it'll be carved in my heart forever.
14th prince has a special place in my heart. Principle man, weighed down by deep sense of honor and loyalty, kind, strong, He liked Ruoxi as a friend, even married her just so he can help her and that was what I appreciated the most.
Ah, here are her two loves 8th and 4th prince. 8th prince is her first love, the man whom she experienced the meaning of a love. He is romantic, protective, she felt safe when she was with him. They both know that it is a forbidden love, love that hurts, but what do you really can go against the feelings? Rouxi and 8th loved each other, but not enough to give up on everything. Later, their love was replaced by respect towards each other.
As for 4th Prince, well he was her true love, love 'till her death. Their chemistry was breathtaking, passionate, intense. It was so stong and powerful that when they were apart, their longing makes your heart break and you can't help but cry. He is calculative, with secrets, but towards Rouxi, he's different. He can be honest with her, tells her openly that he wants the throne, he was like himself with her. And that was love. Love that can last 'till eternity even when they're not together. But, when 4th Prince became Empreror their minds and opinions changed. Like they are strangers they didn't understand each other. The more they didn't understand each other, the more their love hurt. They were so close, yet so far, under one Heaven, but like miles away. They hurt each other, wanted to hate but they couldn't, longed for each other. He didn't care for anyone, only for her. Ruoxi was her everything, his soul, heart, mind, love. I vividly remember when he told 13th prince: "She cares for other, I care only for her."That was the proof how much he loved her. I wasn't that fond of him, cause he became selfish and tyranic, but their love was truly the strong one and it will always stay with me.
*** SPOILER END***

Oh and to say that Rouxi is the one of the strongest female characters in dramaland. She is intellegent, brave, unselfish, when she loves she loves till her core. The burden she carry is big, but wasn't able to share her story. She was a true survivor after all. She smiled, cried and loved to the fullest and that makes a woman strong, that even know it hurts, you're trying to get the best out of it. And that job was done by Cecilia whom I just have a words of praise and admiration.

I'll for sure rewatch this drama cause it's totally worth it. Even though it is sad, I took a positive side of it and placed some hope at the end. It is truly a beautiful story about love, friendship and passion. I laughed, cried, felt happy. I simply lived with this drama.

After I've finished this drama I found questioning myself what this drama has that I loved it so much?

There's nothing special in it, even opposite, it's a drama where the story is ordinary with a cardiovascular person and another person who lost his wife and since then he lived a life like it's not worth it. And that was untill he met Bom Yi, a sick person with his dead wife's heart. From the moment when they met the stong bond was formed and since then they couldn't live without each other.
Her's unselfishness, goodness, kindness made not only him, but also me love her. She's conscious about her sickness, she knows that she can die every second, but she's not trying to run from it yet she's opposing it by living her life to the fullest. She met Dong Ha and they fell in love.
All I can say is that I'm really surprised by Soo Young's acting. While I was watching it I never felt like watching an idol yet a talanted actress who deserves all the praise.
Kam Woo Sung potrayed a man with a two kids who has lost a wife, but when he met Bom Yi his life changed. His relationship with a family became better and he once again started feeling love.

A beautiful cinematography, Udo island, nice OSTs, a heartwarming feeling have followed me through the whole drama and that's why I can't easily forgot it. At most of the moments this drama reminded me of one of my favorite movies "A walk to remember" and that beautiful quote "Love is like the wind. You can't see it, but you can feel it."
How much this drama has clichés that much has a maturity in it. Their interactions with each other, conversations, words are full of meanings and it gives you a lesson about a love, life and hope. And that's why this drama will always be in my heart like a spring that came into my soul and stay there till eternity.
~"To keep you in my eyes and in my heart, so I can engrave you there."

I've always enjoyed watching this kind of series and this one is no exception. However, how much the beginning was good and promising that much towards the ending plot became ridiculous and without a sense. No, I'm not trying to tell you not to watch it, it's even opposite, watch it and you'll see and meet one the best villian and psychopath EVER. Lee Joon potrayed a great, mad, twisted, crazy, unstable and psycho man that every time I saw him I got chills all over my body. His acting was so believable and real that I sometimes wondered if he's like that in real life and I would give a 10 for that. Yes, there are many flaws in this drama, besides that they made cops look totally ridiculous and clueless, I didn't like any of the female characters in this drama. Maria was the hell annoying and ridiculous trying to be something that she is NOT. Honestly, if I have to choose between her and Ji Wool it would rather be Ji Wool, 'cause at least she tried to help and understand Ryu Tae Oh, even if it's putting his life on line.
Yoon Sang Hoon did a best job in a character of a detective. For me, he tried his best and totally succeeded in it.
Ah, Sung Dong Il ahjussi... it's always a pleasure to watch him with a no exception this time too!

Overall I enjoyed this drama, but I think if they packed it all in 16 episodes this drama would have a higher rating and it would be a better watch. l've liked Lee Joon's character, even though he was bad, but there was something great about him and his mind. His craziness was driving me crazy too!

OSTs were really good, especially main song and all those kinds of instrumental played in this drama giving you a thrilling and exciting feeling.
For those who love thriller and suspense genre with a many twisted characters that at some point you want to go into their heads and understand what they're thinking, is totally not to miss!

You see 51 episodes? And you instanly thought it's too long for me, right? But, don't let the number of episodes pull you from not watching it. I had to admit I was like that to the moment when I actually start watching it! From the first episode you will feel thirsty to know how the things will develop and you'll want more and more to know. And when you finally reach the last episode you will feel the emptiness and you will try to find a similar drama like this, but you'll not find it. Why you may ask?

This drama is based on fictional history of Empress Ki. Well, to be precise drama follows the life of a girl from Koryeo who becomes the most powerful woman of a Yuan Empire and her loves as she is torn between two countires.
The amazing cinematography, love triangles, acting, OSTs and a million feelings while watching it make this drama one of the most beautiful sageuks I've watched so far! ! No skip-watching, no boring scenes... nothing, just enjoyment and excitement through the whole drama!

Acting was more than spectacular! From the main actors to the supporting ones everything was perfect.
Ha Ji Won once again proved how powerful and brilliant actress she is! Every scene was like a piece of a cake for her and that's what made me like her more and more! She succeed to show the viewers a role of a girl who's left with nothing and no one to lean on to the girl who becomes the most powerful woman of a nation.
The acting as it was Ji Chang Wook's is rare, really rare. I haven't seen in a while such an amazing acting! It made me fall in love with him. Wow, I really don't know how to describe it, but if you watch it you'll know what I'm talking about. Ta Hwan a ruler of a Yuan Dinasty, the strong and great man is hard to play and he pulled it off brillianty. His acting left me spechless, just a praise and the fact that he became one of my fav actors!
Joo Jin Mon plays a hero, a protective man, king of Koryeo. I didn't like his role that much, but I can't say that he's just ordinary actor. He knows what he's doing and he's doing it very well.
Jin Yi Han who plays Tal Tal and Yoo In Young who plays Yon Feisu are my fav supporting characters. It was a pleasure and enjoyment watching their acting skills!^^

One of the most beautiful OSTs! The OST's where a happy scene makes more happier and the OSTs where a sad scenes make more sadder to the point where you find yourself crying and feeling their pain... that's how amazing OSTs are! :D

I'll rewatch it for sure! Just need to find a time! Oh, what the heck when the story is this good, you will forget about a time and you'll find yourself constantly clicking the next episode! So, yeah that's how SPECTACULAR this drama is! You just need to start it and then you'll see what I'm talking about! :D

At the beginning story was pretty good and I liked sports part in here(softball and baseball), but after ep 8 story was so similar as "What happened in Bali." I don't know if they tried to make it similar or to copy it, but for me they failed.
Yeah, there was some difference, about a birth part, but it was all about greed, betrayal and love.

Acting: I loved Lee Dong Gun's acting as well Lee Jin Wook's. Both played hard roles, one is a sly, calculative man who will do anyhing for money and the other one is a rich innocent good man, but after a betrayal of a close friend he changes.
Kim Hee Sun was the very first Korean actress I knew and she didn't disappoint me till now. In here she played a cheerful, playful girl who dreams to became a professional pitcher and she gets entangled in a lives of a two men.
Yoon Se Ah played a pretty good villian and I really liked her acting in here. One of the few good villians I've seen so far.

Music somehow didn't fitt in a scenes of a drama, but there were two good osts!

I skip-watched towards the ending, it became boring, so I don't think I'll rewatch it.

My feels! First I need to calm down and then write a review!

WHAT A DRAMA! I was thinking whether to start it or not because comments about the ending were keeping me from watching it. And then I start it! And I'm so glad I did! I was AMAZED! And let me tell you why:

This is a very dark and deep story of 4 people and their desires, greed, money and love. For their desires, they will ruin each other's lifes, for greed and money they will do anything and for love they will let go of their pride.
The chemistry was so real and passionate. Their feelings were shown in a brilliant way and most of the scenes were just filming a face of a characters which managed to show their expressions.

Acting: So Ji Sub was amazing as ever. He plays a very intelligent man who has a cold exterior and it is difficult to read his mind.
And actor that was totally mindblowing with his acting was Jo In Sung. The character of Jung Jae Min, selfish, arrogant, playboy, self-centered man was really hard to play and he managed to do it more than pefectly. It was truly enjoyment watching only him and his acting skills.
I'm not that fond of Ha Ji Won, but she was pretty good in here. I can't imagine any other actress to play this role. A woman who will do anything for money and greed and who never experienced love falls in love with a two different man with different personalities. I can say that I didn't hate her role, because somehow I understood her. If you watch it you will see and why ;)

Music: OSTs fitted a drama perfectly. Every ost have so much feels that made this drama more beautiful!^^ My favourite is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ed-ZBEOnPMw

Oh, and about the ending, I would rather call it a good writing. It somehow fitted to the whole concept of a drama. I saw many melodramas, but in this one ending is realistic. With so much temptations, passion and greediness the ending was understandable for me!

If I rewatch it again, I'm pretty sure I will have the same exact feelings like the first time I was watching it!^^

Give this drama a try, but once you start it you won't be able to stop it, believe me!^^
