I have watched this drama twice already, once a couple years ago and I just finished it again today.
Lee Da Hae is the queen of comedy in my perspective - she always fit's that role so well.
I love Lee Ji Hoon in dramas too, wish he'd get more lead roles.
This drama is very enjoyable to watch, plenty of comedy and romance - especially on Dong Gyu's side (Lee Ji Hoon). The story progresses nicely - a few episodes is slightly irritating b/c of the cousins lies - but you can get through them b/c of Dong Gyu.

Music: Great! I love the BGM on this drama - including Lee Su Ha (Lee Da Hae)'s cellphone ringtone!

Cast: the cast is exceptional as always, they all display their characters really well. Lee Ji Hoon (Dong Gyu) portrays an honest loveable character who will do almost anything to protect the one he loves. (Chan Min) portrays a playboy cousin whose scheming mother wants him to take over the company to fulfill her own greed.
I found Su Ha's brother really likeable.

If you like political, crime, and action dramas then you should enjoy this drama.
Story: The storyline is awesome, there are bad people everywhere, but it can be hard to tell who they all are. Secrets are everywhere, it can be hard to tell who to put your trust in. Enemies at every corner.
Cast: everyone played their part so well I was impressed! Park Yoochun stole the screen lol - I loved his character and the female cop who tagged along to uncover the truth. The actor who played the president was awesome in his role - I would love to see him in another drama sometime ;) Villains all played their role exceptionally well.
Music: was Daebak - especially the suspense music!
I was so glad nothing looked animated - everything was as realistic as it could be - it was a thrill ride that's for sure!
Re-watch Value: I absolutely loved this drama! I will definitely watch it again someday!

Ok, I have to start this review out to say 'I skipped a lot' during this drama - I watched most of the things going on but I really hated some characters a.k.a - the twin uncles (I detested them - so I skipped all their scenes unless they were with the rest of the family)(I also detested the 'father') - I didn't like Hae Won at all - ever - and I only began to warm up to Dong Seok towards the end - but the beginning to maybe ep.35ish I skipped just about all their scenes (unless it had something to do with something else that I needed to know). I loved (and basically the whole reason I watched this drama all the way through) Dong Hee & his kids along with Kim Mari - if it wasn't for these characters I would have dropped this drama but I really loved them - I also liked Woo Jin & Dong Ok, I watched & sometimes skipped along with the rest of the people....But I never skipped so much that I didn't know what was going on.
Story was decent but not thrilling...
Cast: everyone acted well I just either liked or disliked them lol
Music: I liked the ending song - that's it
Re-watch Value: 0 - once was enough - although if someone cut out Dong Hee's scenes I wouldn't mind watching just him ;)
I would have to say this drama is about a VERY dysfunctional family to say the least lol

This was a fascinating drama about a great scientist of Joseon ~ Jang Yeong Shil ^^ Everything he did had to do with the stars and how our planet works, it was a awe inspiring journey through history.^^ I enjoyed watching him come up with new and exciting ideas for things I personally could never come up with - and they ways those ideas came to him was a wonder in and of itself XD [A leaf, a persimmon, a chime, and rolling iron weights to name a few]. I'm always so impressed with people who can think outside the box in almost miraculous ways like this. I am in no way an astrology major or anything close lol, I barely know about the "big dipper" lol XD Any dramas though where the characters are fascinated about the stars - always ends up peaking my curiosity and I end up looking at the stars more often myself ;)

Cast: Jang Yeong Shil (Song Il Guk) *I was so excited that SIG was going to be in a drama again!!!* I loved his character, his beliefs never wavered, and his journey through life wasn't easy - just when he was about to give up on his country, he gained a King and comrades ^_^ That made him fall in love with his country Joseon - He made up his mind that he would do his best to make it better for the people. (I personally like SIG better with the long hair lol rather than the "bun" he had to sport later in the drama). He played his character perfectly though, as SIG always does :)
Jang Hee Je (Lee Ji Hoon) my second favorite character in this drama ^^ He was run by jealousy and envy - and it was hard for him to see past that most of the time - He wanted to escape it so badly but he usually caved into it. *I want to say more but I'm afraid what I might say might be a spoiler so I'll refrain from saying it* I believed in him, believed that he could change - and I didn't let that hope go ^^ His character in a way was also quite pitiful :'(
Then we have King Sejong <3 Love this King <3 He was portrayed by Kim Sang Kyung (Who also plays King Sejong in 'The Great King Sejong' drama) I really liked the Sejong that was portrayed through this actor - he did a magnificent job! Through all his encouragement of Science and creating Hangul - He was truly a wonderful King.
Other characters I enjoyed: Ju Bu Ryung *she's so pretty & I loved her personality*, Lee Chun *at first I thought he was mean but after a few episodes I started to really like this character*, and King Taejeong - I was impressed with his role as well *can't wait to see him again in GKS* :)

Music: ... I honestly don't remember any songs... but all the background instrumentals that I faintly remember were nice and well suited.

Re-watch? Yes, I would re-watch this drama, but none too soon ;) and I recommend it to Saeguk lovers, Song Il Guk/Lee Je Hoon lovers and Science/Astrology lovers alike ^^

The only flaw of the drama (according to my taste) was Princess So Hyun - I didn't like her at all - or the romance they tried to push for - even if it was very sidelined to the rest of the story. I could have done without her.

I held off on watching this drama when it was airing b/c of the episode count (but I had it in my ptw list for JCW) - I'd look at clips on YT and was wary about starting this drama b/c of the other lead guy. I'm a person who hates "love triangles" and I especially hate "strong love triangles" and unfortunately this drama had a very strong "love triangle".
Cast: JCW (Huizhong Ta Hwan - Emperor) I loved the way he sincerely loved Nyang (HJW); his character was innocent/naïve and quite a bit stupid I must say... I liked him for the most part but I had hoped his character would really mature as the drama progressed but except for a few things he never really changes the way he is - I was "ok" with it for the most part up until the last 10 episodes where well he kind of goes crazy....(he makes up for it in the very end)...He is very handsome (biased on JCW as he is a favorite actor of mine).
HJW (Nyang Sungnyang Empress Ki) I liked just about everything about her character and personality except for the fact that she had the hots for the other guy for most of the drama (that really grated on my nerves and is the main reason I could never really like the guy - looks aside...)
JJM (Wang Yu King of Koryo) If I had to pick a ruler I'd probably pick him - but never as a lover (he is unattractive in my eyes - my own personal opinion) I hated him for the most part ONLY b/c he never truly let go of Nyang (HJW) - it really bothered me; if he had let go and vice versa then I could have liked him more, b/c he was a good ruler (even if exiled) and leader to his people and he helped out around Yuan a LOT - I appreciated him for all of that - but that's about as far as I got with him - just appreciation nothing more...
JYH (Tal Tal) I always wondered what peoples obsession with this guy was when I was watching earlier on in the show, it's not until half-way into the drama that we get more of this guy and what he is all about that makes people like him so much - I didn't care at all about him early on but later on I started to really really like him ;)
I'll throw all of the bad guys together in one group - I hated each and every one of the "bad guys" which is pretty obvious - they were all horrid people - well deserving of my hatred.
Story: I've seen better - much better as in: Jumong - this drama was written well but I could have done without the "love triangle" aspect.
Re-watch Value: right now not happening - it was good to watch once but I can't see myself watching this again. for me the best part of the show was from episode 28ish - 40...
Music: everyone raves about the ost - but it was just alright to me - I have no complaints but there weren't a whole lot of the songs that would stick in my head or that I would sing along with - the exceptions were: JCW's solo (I think it was him singing), Junsu's (JYJ) song, and 2 songs in the later episodes one by a girl and one sung by a guy (don't know the titles but I do know I started to sing with them surprisingly.

Lot's of people fell in love with JCW (actor) through this drama - I on the other hand loved him since Smile Donghae (I'm glad I saw him in all his other dramas before watching this one - his acting was flawless but not his best character in my books).

Believe it or not I marathoned this drama in 2 days straight! It was really good! I enjoyed everything and it was a stress free watch ^^ The ups and downs of the characters the breakups and past and future loves, the struggles of trying to make it in the entertainment world - everything was a nice peaceful easy and very enjoyable watch! More dramas should be made this way! If you were a fan of 'Dream High' or 'What's Up?' then you will like this drama... maybe even more then you did those (like me) ;)

Story: "The bright and dark side of the world of stars is dramatically captured in this drama by giving a realistic depiction of singer-wannabes ambition and their dash for stardom.
A story about the painstaking work it takes to become a popular singer, the intrigues and betrayals arising from constant meetings and partings, and heartbreaking love that blooms amidst all that. It presents viewers with a glimpse of a life that burns like a flame." MBC (taken from Asianwiki).

Cast: Hwan Hee as Rex - He's been in the industry since he was 13 and he's being suffocated by not being allowed to do the kind of music he wants to do. He tries to break free. I liked him, despite his rude demeanor and sour attitude, he is really just an innocent kid who doesn't know how to share his feelings gracefully - I found him adorable and loveable ^_^ Half of my heart shipped him with Sangmi.
Ji Hyun Woo as Hyuk Joo - He was a rebel in school disobeying everything and was even a part of a gang, he turns into a dancer and goes through hardships with his teammates to make it. I liked him and the other half of my heart shipped him with Sangmi as well lol - He was a total fool in love and that was what mattered most to him... which honestly made it easier for my heart to be split in two. He loved dancing as it made him happy. It was his first dream so to say.
Seo Ji Hye as Sangmi - She was the awkward girl who is a huge fan of Rex - a total devoted and loyal fan - b/c of an incident she tries her best in a field she isn't good in and in doing that she discovers her true talent. I loved her! (to be honest I love any character SJH plays when she is equally innocent, sweet, smart and loveable) ^_^ As I said above I shipped her with both guys hehe - of course if I had to choose I did prefer one over the other but there were a few times where I was ready to kick him to the curb lol
Kim Ok Bin as Hee Soo - I didn't like her personally as a character - she was very selfish and at times quite manipulative (as Hyuk Joo's friends said) she's not all bad however - she is nice but she was just too selfish (and in that there was a lesson to be learned for the viewers) - With all choices there is a price to pay.
Nam Hyun Joo (Poppin Hyun Joon) as Manjong - He's a part of Hyuk Joo's dance team and for me he was the cherry on top of the Ice cream so to speak lol - I was totally shocked when I saw him as I didn't know he was in this drama! but I was even more surprised when I realized he wasn't just a "guest" but had a "supporting" role to play in it! Needless to say I loved it and loved his role in this drama even more - he was smart, clever and entertaining and he always gave good advice!
The rest of the supporting cast was great and I enjoyed everyone - it wouldn't be the same without one!

Music - I loved most of it (there was one English rap song played early on that I did not like and one song of Rex's that I did not like b/c well... uhm... yeah lets just leave it at that - you'll know why if you watch it lol - it's the lyrics ya'll) - but I LOVED at least 3 songs if I remember correctly - one was by Rex (or Hwan Hee) called 'Tomorrow' (and I actually listened to it before I watched this drama several times lol - I have it on CD - I LOVE it), there is a Ballad song by Ji Hyun Woo 'The Single Eyed Fish' (and I'm a total ballad lover so it speaks to my very soul lol), and one BG ballad song by a female artist that I don't know that I really liked. I also quite enjoyed Hyuk Joo's fathers Trot Song lol

Re-watch Value 8/10 - Definitely worth re-watching - and I recommend it to music lovers!

I loved the music in this drama, all their performance songs and competitions were good and I enjoyed them. But the story itself was very badly written (at least I think so) The writer had a completely different idea in mind than I did. A group of young adults form a team at an audition and continue together creating Team Perseverance, we see them go through several downs and a few ups in their "career". I don't like the story sorry...

There were some cast members that I liked and some I really didn't like at all.
Cast: Ray/Se Chan, Henry & Woo Ri were my favorite characters, I really loved Se Chan so much that it really hurt in episode 2... I grew very fond of Ray and wanted him to win and wanted him to be happy. Whenever I'd see Henry I couldn't help but continuously say "His voice is so cute^^, He's so adorable^^ He's my favorite^^" every time he was on screen and every time he'd sing my heart would go pit-a-pat lol <3 I loved that goof-ball :P I loved his and Ray's friendship too :) Woo Ri was the best female vocalist (I know Hae Ra is the so called "lead" but her voice is NOTHING compared to Woo Ri's) - Woo Ri has SOUL in her voice whist Hae Ra has "air" - // I really disliked Se Jong >_< I couldn't stand him and he really can't sing (he has a nasal voice)... I honestly don't think Hae Ra deserved to guys fighting over her (she wasn't worth it in my book) but either way, even if didn't like her very much I still shipped one and not the other, I really wish Hyorin would stay out of drama-land (she's not a good actress) - I actually kind of liked the way it ended... not for Hae Ra but for Ray, Henry & Woo Ri^^

Music: I will still listen to lots of the songs they performed on the show - I really enjoyed some of them^^

I won't re-watch this drama, but I may want to watch a few scenes of Henry & Woo Ri again lol (they were just too gosh darn cute).

I wouldn't recommend it unless you are a fan of Henry of SUJU or Jung Jin Young of B1A4 (and would only recommend you watch their scenes) & the music :) Save yourself the frustration of the actual story lol - to be honest I started it myself for Jung Jin Young <3 I'm a big fan of B1A4^^

Let me first start off to say I started this drama solely for Joo Won as he is one of my favorite respected actors who takes on seemingly a different role every time and is always believable as the person he portrays - he is a true genuine actor who loves what he does <3 I have not seen the original Japanese version or ever read the manga (not a huge manga or anime fan to begin with).

Story: Music: Piano's, Violins, Chellos, Flutes, Trumpets & all the rest surround this drama as students are brought together to form their schools own concert team. We follow the lives of Yoo Jin & Nae Il and the struggles they go through in order to achieve their dreams, love and friendship ;)

Cast: Cha Yoo Jin (Joo Won) My favorite character out of the whole drama, he was a bit cold, harsh sometimes and rude/arrogant but you could tell he liked all the attention he got from Nae Il and the rest of S orchestra ;) He is always a joy to watch and he fit the role perfectly - I had no doubt that he would (after all he is Joo Won - a master of acting, who always takes his projects seriously). Nae Il (Shim Eun Kyeong) This was my first time seeing this actress at work but I couldn't have wished for anyone else (honestly if it would have been any other actress this might not have turned out so good) she totally fits the part of being childish & naïve and I had a blast watching her pester Yoo Jin throughout the drama ;) When I first saw her (since I never saw the original) I was like 'what's wrong with her?' lol, but she was totally loveable - no wonder Yoo Jin fell for her ;) Il Rak (Go Gyeong Pyo) (I have previously loved this guy on Flower Boy Next Door) and he doesn't disappoint here, he was my 3rd favorite character & one of Cha Yoo Jin's "idiots" lol (You'll understand if you watch the drama). The only characters I disliked in this drama were Mastero Franz von Stressman & Song Mi Na - ugh whenever they came on screen my stomach would churn -_- I could have done completely without them. & may I say the strict music teacher Do Kang Jae reminded me of the Grinch whenever I saw him :p

Music: My favorite piece was the Violin solo by Il Rak (by Tchaikovsky (sp?)) & a piano piece Nae Il played once, and the concert that S did when they were all dressed up 50's style^^ I'm not really a "classical music" fan - but sometimes some of it is fun ;)

Re-watch Value: I will probably re-watch this one day as it was enjoyable - but not too soon ;)

I debated what I should rate this drama - 9 or 8.5 but since I love Joo Won so much and I know he put in a lot of effort - I've given it a 9 - the acting was stellar ;)

I really liked this drama special. I watched it for Han Ji Hye and I'm glad I did ;)
HJH's character is blind but yet she goes to college & through an accident on her way to school ends up meeting Gu Woo Ram (a police officer) who I found to be quite a loser during the first episode but by the second episode I started to like him. Han Ji Hye was great as Kim Ha Yeon, she was strong & yet vulnerable. Then we have Tae Yang (the guide dog) he was a cutie^^
I thought this drama special was very well put together and very enjoyable to watch - nothing felt rushed.
The music was very good - I really liked it and it fit the show well.
I will definitely re-watch this drama special sometime again ;D
I can't say much more or I'll spoil it lol (the ending was my favorite part)

The drama focuses on the relationship between Tae Woong and Yeon Ho, their meetings, their interactions, their developing feelings for one another and their family dynamics and relationships with parents, siblings and friends. It flowed nicely - although I could have done with much less of the older cast scenes (the parents) I found Yeon Ho's mother to be extremely obnoxious and irritating. I much preferred the story of Tae Man and Soon Ho.

Cast: Tae Woong (Choi Soo Jong) is a cars salesman who is honest and upright. If he sees someone in need, despite how pressured he is for time, he will stop to help them - this in turn lands him many opportunities and gains him much favor. He unknowingly helps out people who then help him out in more ways than one. He is bright, kind and very likeable.
Yeon Ho (Chae Rim) is a pediatrician. She's nice and sweet but also very prissy if that's the right word to describe her lol - she was raised rich and doesn't think when it comes to saying things sometimes. She falls for Tae Woong (despite being engaged to another man) who is idk at least 10yrs older than her (she calls him Ahjussi) (there were no subs for this drama and I don't understand Korean fluently so I can't tell you their exact age difference).
Tae Man (Yoon Tae Young) is a guy who is trying to change his life with money - he thinks money means you can do anything - so he chases it as if his life depends on it. Constantly trying to run away from his true happiness by being in pursuit of what he thinks will be happiness. He is on the wrong path and only the girl who loves him tries to set him straight.
Soon Ho (Chae Jung Ahn) is a simple girl who just loves a man so ardently that she refuses to give up on him despite being rejected many times - she can see through his exterior to what lies beneath and hurts when she sees him hurt himself by running from himself. She is constantly trying to pull him back and make him realize what he really wants - she never gives up on him and that was extremely admirable to me. (this man was blessed to have her in his life). Her and Tae Man ended up being my main focus halfway through the drama - I ended up skipping a little more just so I could get to see them sooner lol (they were my favorite couple). I was shipping them from day 1 and my ship only grew stronger as time went on.
Seung Min (Choi Chul Ho) was the fiance to Yeon Ho - He's a really nice guy and I liked his character. I started to enjoy him more however when he and Yeon Ho broke off and he started to like another (secret or it's a possible spoiler).
Ae Ran (Kim Jung Nan) is Yeon Ho's aunt (who is only a few years older than her) - I really liked her character ^^ She was also a Hoobae to Tae Woong and has been crushing on him for a long time. Everything changes however when she finds out he likes her niece.
I really liked Ok Hee and Jum Hee's friendship ^_^ They were sweet friends ;)

OST: I really liked the OST - it's classic and beautiful ^^ especially the songs: ? ?? - ????? (Please by Shirin Ballad? (google translate)) (Tae Woong and Yeon Ho's theme song); and ?? ?? ??? ? (I'm Hidden Behind You) by Zeil (Tae Man and Soon Ho's theme song).

Rewatch?... I might re-watch Tae Man and Soon Ho's scenes again at some point but not anything else lol

Overall it's a good decent family romance melo type drama.

If you enjoy quiet natural love stories, then this one is for you. Nothing crazy happens in order for them to fall in love, they simply meet, spend time together while journeying around Jeju Island and talk about themselves, their experiences, dreams and past and future love lives. I found it to be very sweet and very natural - so natural it could happen to anyone - this I believe is how most relationships come about. I guess you could say its realistic.

If your feeling quiet or calm one day or perhaps its raining outside - then put this movie on and sip on some tea or hot cocoa and watch away ^^ I found it very relaxing <3

I'm so grateful to Geanina for so kindly uploading it for me, so I could finally watch it. ^_^

Jang Dong Gun is so handsome <3 I wish he was in more shows that I would watch lol For me Jang Dong Gun was the reason I wanted to watch this so badly lol and he truly outshone everyone else in this drama ^^ His quiet, gentle, & calm demenour is polar opposite of the role he plays in AGD ;)

I personally would rewatch it when I want a simple sweet love story to see - or when I'm feeling calm.

It's probably not a movie for everyone - as it needs to be appreciated for what it is - it's a classic 1999 movie - keep that in mind. It's definitely not fit for Rom/com lovers - as this isn't at all comedic.

I watched this drama for both Song Il Guk & Choi Soo Jong and I was pleased with both of their acting. The story however was a bit slow and they drug out certain scenes that could have went by much faster (I think a lot of old historical dramas are like this) - so during the last half of the show I set it on speed & watched it in double time lol - honestly I liked it more that way :)
I liked Goong Bok & Yon's deep friendship and how they'd risk anything for each other ^^ They were like blood-brothers. The relationship between Goong Bok & Yum Moon was strained at best, they were friends but enemies at the same time, more friends in the beginning & more enemies toward the end. I constantly found myself struggling between like and hate of Yum Moon's character. I pitied him at times, loved him at times and hated him at times...
It seemed like the characters would go through the same exact things in a hundred different ways throughout the drama. Goong Bok & Yon were born slaves and lived most of their lives as slaves, they ended up meeting the right "master" and started climbing ranks and eventually succeeded in business & became powerful influences who strived to make all statuses equal, were not greedy for power & gained respect from people who liked that and made several enemies b/c of it too. Madam Jami was the worst I think - I really hated that woman (besides not really liking the actress & her horrible hairstyles all the time). I think I liked it most when Goong Bok was high enough in status & he started attacking the pirates (I think it's from episode 30 something plus).
And then we have the girl that both men loved - One whom she loved and one whom she cared for but didn't love. Her fate is actually really sad and depressing - I wouldn't want to be her. I know she loved GB but honestly I was wanting her to be with YM so she could take him out of who he was under, then YM could have lived an entirely different life. I shipped GB with Chae Ryeong.

The OST was the best thing in the drama I think ^^ My favorite song is "Leaving You" by Kim Bum Soo (ost 2) & then "Prayer" by Yi Hyeon Seop (ost 5) // other songs that were good but didn't catch my attention: "Love Like the Wind" by Moon Myung Jin (ost 6) and "Tears" by Kim Bum Soo (ost 9)

It was good for a one-time watch but I won't watch it again.

This is going on my black list. I will never watch this drama again, such a disappointment >_< I skipped half the scenes that were irrelevant in this drama (mainly pertaining to Ha Rim & Mi Joo - they had ZERO chemistry) - I don't know what the writers were thinking.

Cast - everyone was ok except for one couple. but overall only two people kept me going: Ha Kyung & Jae Min - who had great chemistry - if they writers would have given me the romance of JM & HK over HR & MJ then this drama would have a much higher rating. the only other couple I enjoyed watching on this drama was the married couple Yoo Jin & Sung Hoon - she was prickly and we find out later why, and he was really loveable - seriously when I think of him I think of him saying 'baby' all the time - the way he says it with the accent he has towards his wife is just adorable! All men could learn some things from this man!
The eldest couple on this drama was cute but somewhere towards the end I started to get a bit irritated with them (mainly b/c of the relationship that MJ & JM had before that had now messed up what could have been a wonderful fates for one leading couple).

Music was really good.

rewatch value - 0 Dreadful if HR & MJ didn't exist in this drama then I would possibly give it a chance again - but they ruined that possibility for me...

Either way I became a fan of Lee Sang Yeob through this drama - he draws out your emotions SO well - I hope he gets more leading roles where he gets the girl! maybe another drama with him and Shin Da Eun again? ^^ - seriously they had GREAT chemistry and were really cute together.
