This drama special was really really good!
Story: about a man going through the investigation period of a homicide - what really happened, who was all involved...so many questions - it had a great pace to it and it was put together very nicely - the lead actor did a great job in portraying someone who has psychological traumas - I really felt bad for his character :'(
This is a great drama special - I would highly recommend people to watch this - you won't be disappointed :) - I watched it on YT via KBSworld
Re-watch value: 9.0/10 - I would definitely re-watch this special someday - my eyes were fixed on the screen the whole time!

This review may contain spoilers
Story-line starts out with our lead girl dating and about to be engaged to Seojun - but she meets Unchan by accident and just continues to cross paths with him and she starts to be extremely curious about him - and b/c of that curiosity she ends up falling for him *NOT a spoiler as it is in the description for the drama*. Our lead guy is labeled "the ugly duckling" at his home and has sacrificed himself time and time again for his family b/c he loves them. He dreams of becoming an architect in the future and ends up working for Mr. Lee at his workshop as his pupil. There are the usual plot devices in this drama as with most daily dramas. My favorite thing about this drama was the cuteness of the main lead couple ^_^

Secrets upon secrets revealed one after another - lies and manipulation well along the way - struggles and pain in the way too - luckily most of this was minimized when they were announced - so we could get back to the cuteness ;)

My favorite characters: Unchan, Mugunghwa, Gachan, Dohui, Mr. Lee "gramps", Granny, Doyeong, Hong In Suk, Oh Bongja, Hyeonjeong, and Na Yeongik.
I didn't really like Bokchan and her family or Dongchan. and I really disliked Mr. Ki most of the time - he was the most frustrating and most aggravating character -_- (the only character who really stressed me out). I also really started to dislike Mr. Han by episode 80 (before that I was still passive with him).

Ki Unchan and Mugunghwa's love story was so cute ^^ I loved every scene with them in it <3 Mugunghwa was such an adorable and cute character ^_^ Unchan was such a hardworking caring son and brother who always seemed to have things bringing him down. They made such a sweet couple - and Gunghwa grew a lot in this ;)
Granny and Gramps were SOOOOO adorable together - their little bickering "romance" if I may call it so ;) It was so funny and cute how she'd always call him a bulldog and his reactions lol
Gachan was my most respected brother - he really cared for Unchan when the others pushed him away <3 That made me grow to really like him ^_^ and his struggle at becoming a lawyer and especially his Trot thing that came later in the show <3 He was also a great dad to his kid - I loved how he sat down and talked to his kid.
I admired Dohui for being such a straight-liner and honest to goodness good person - she at first came off as a bit rude but I later really started to appreciate her and like her as a character - she never let me down. She stands her ground and knows how to be a true "professional" keeping business separate from private matters.
Ms. Hong was such a sweet gentle nice lady who had no ulterior motives - she was genuinely kind (and I'm oh so glad that she didn't annoy me with her usual screeching screaming in this drama as she has in past dramas I've seen of hers).

I don't recall any actual music from the drama other than the intro song (which is just your typical daily drama cutesy intro song) and Gachan's Trot song "Only You" near the end of the drama. *'Only You' is very addictive and will get stuck in your head* lol

Overall this was a nice daily family romance drama - with only a few lagging episodes. I'd recommend it to fans of daily dramas but not people who can't stand watching something so long lol

This drama is 100% politics but I loved every minute of it. It's a tragic memoir of the Imjin war. I loved Ryu Seong Ryung & Lee Soon Shin - they were my favorites on this drama (and their close companions). I liked Gwanghae during the first half but by the second half I was disappointed with his actions... :/
A great drama however, if you don't mind watching one that has zero romance. I cried a few times while watching it and cried at the end too :'( It's more sad b/c you basically see history take place before your eyes :'(

This drama follows the writings left by Ryu Seong Ryung about the Imjin War that he titled 'Jing Bi Rok' - and we watch this unfold before our eyes, the invasion of the Japanese army, the fights in the court, the actions of King Seonjo as he tries to hold onto his power and suspects everyone. The righteous leading of Ryu Seong Ryung & his followers, the Bravery & Heart of Lee Soon Shin, the anger of Prince Gwanghae, the secret "peace talks" between Wae & Ming, the deception of the envoys, the patriotic spirits of the Righteous armies, the punishment brought out by Seonjo b/c of his fear of praise being taken away from him....the Japanese internal struggle with each other, and Toyotomi's crazy greed for power.

Ryu Seong Ryung is a character I admired throughout the entire drama & I respected anyone who followed him & believed in him. Lee Soon Shin a man who no matter who asked what of him would only do what he felt was right - he never brought harm to his men. He was upright, brave, unyielding and strong of heart - another man to be greatly admired - without him who knows what would have happened in history... I loved his friendship with Ryu Seong Ryung ^^ Both of these men are so brave - they go so well together - definitely the best of friends <3 While watching King Seonjo all I could do was shake my head at his childish, and petty ways.... and there were several other great characters throughout the drama :)

Actors I have to give a shoutout to:
~ Kim Sang Joon (Ryu Seong Ryung), Kim Suk Hoon (Lee Soon Shin), Kim Tae Woo (King Seonjo), Jung Tae Woo (Cheon Ri), Choi Chul Ho (Lee Hang Bok), Noh Young Hak (Prince Gwanghae), Lee Kwan Hoon (Shin Myeong Chul), Nam Sung Jin (Lee Deok Hyeong), & Jeon Kwang Jin (Song Hee Rib) ~

I for one would re-watch this drama if time allowed. If you like historicals - especially factual based historicals then you should enjoy this one as we watch history unfold.

The only OST I remember is just an instrumental that came on at the beginning and during the drama - nothing spectacular but it fit very well with this drama.

I really enjoyed this (all except for the first 15 or so minutes of the first episode - there was nudity & a sex scene and I don't like that in shows I watch) - The fighting was great, the only thing I didn't really like was it was a bit gory (especially when they slow-motioned the blood) but If you liked 'Ninja Assassin' then you shouldn't be bothered by this too much. I was hoping for a different ending - but I'm ok with this one and honestly it was probably more realistic this way. If you're like me you'll be captivated by the first episode - I was so drawn into Baek Rok's story! I enjoyed the fight scene, the brotherhood of the 'Black cloud swords' especially with Mu Myung ^^ and the romance story between Baek Rok and Jung Yeon <3

I LOVED Baek Rok (JDH) ^_^ <3 He was so loyal - even when it hurt him, he fought to protect the people he loved and was bound by a promise made to the king. I liked Jung Yeon - but she somehow got stupid towards the end which disappointed me, I loved her relationship with Baek Rok. I hated Baek Kyul - I don't care if his brother and JY still liked him - in my eyes he was an ASS big time!

Music: I loved the ost!!! 2 songs in particular ^_^ pt.1 & pt. 2 of the ost

I might re-watch this sometime in the future - if only to see the ruggedly handsome Jo Dong Hyeok again <3 He truly was a wild man in this drama!

"All that I protected up 'till now by my sword was in vain. I finally want to use it for what I really want to protect. (Jung Yeon) You have to live, so that I, who's lived like a demon, killing all my life...would have some meaning to my life as a man." - Baek Rok

It's your common Melodrama/Romance - nothing new, but it's Classic! If you liked Autumn Tale (a.k.a Autumn In my Heart) or Stairway To Heaven then you should like this one too. It's a very realistic drama (and no not that boring type of realistic but the kind that is believable - like you could see it happening to your or your friend.) I liked the Classic vibe/feelings I got from watching it and I liked the realistic/believable aspect of how this drama was made and brought before our eyes. It's a beautiful love story - but remember it is still a melodrama - I watched it with ease and maybe b/c I've seen my fair share of Melo's I didn't really shed any tears (my eyes did get teary but they never came out). I decided to watch it for Ahn Jae Wook (as I am a fan of his acting and music).

Kim Hee Sun and Ahn Jae Wook have great chemistry (I need to check out their previous drama together 'Sunflower' now ^^ hehe). I enjoyed their scenes together, they were entertaining at times, romantic at times and painfully sad at times :'( Min Su (AJW) works for Ki Tae whom he saved from being kidnapped 13yrs ago - Ki Tae says Min Su is his friend - but he treats him more like a slave than a friend (a friend would never do the things Ki Tae does to Min Su...ever.) Min Su knows this but puts up with it b/c his job is ok and he gets paid well - but when he meets Yeon Ju (KHS) he starts getting tired of how Ki Tae has been treating him. As the description says he meets Yeon Ju and her friend Jung Ae at a club where they lie to each other (which they later regret). I liked Min Su, Yeon Ju, Jung Ae (once she started acting more mature) and Hee Jung (Ki Tae's sister) Lee Tae Ran plays Hee Jung and she's so young and pretty on here ^^ (yes I'm a fan) luckily she's nothing like her brother on this drama who I will describe as a despicable scumbag. No HJ is nice, kind and bold (I liked that I could like her character on this drama). I will be following more of KHS' dramas in the future too (she too is really pretty in this drama).

Music: All classic stuff, I liked it but my two favorites were: 'Last Promise' by Choi Jae Hoon and 'Sad Fate' by Choi Jae Hoon & Choi Won Suk ^^ - Other songs: 'Doesn't Matter Now' by Oh Se Hyung, 'Confession' by Oh Se Hyung & Choi Jae Hoon, 'To Me' by Jang Hyun Chul, & 'Goodbye My Love' Epilogue by Ahn Jae Wook :)

I probably won't re-watch this b/c sad melo's are something I can usually only watch once.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes classic old dramas and or are a fan of sad melodramas.

I loved this drama from the very first episode and each episode continued to get better and better as it went on. One of the best dramas of the end of 2014-early 2015 - It will stay in my heart for a long long time <3 I highly recommend everyone to watch this - unless you have a different perspective on dramas then I do lol - I just wish the end was a little longer b/c I feel as if I missed some things or they didn't explain everything I wanted to be explained/revealed...the ending was a tad rushed but still really good.

The entire cast was daebak! We've got Healer/Bong Soo/Jeong Hoo who works as a night currier who takes on any job that pays well as long as it's not killing someone - a man who is tender, and can fight for his woman now that's what I'd call a HERO <3 This song by Bonnie Tyler fit's JCW's character to a T & PYM's need for him {*Where have all the good men gone..where's the street-wise hercules to fight the rising odds. Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?...I need a hero! I'm holding out for a hero 'till the end of the night. He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast and he's gotta be fresh from the fight. I need a hero!...Someone just beyond my reach is someone reaching back for me...It's gonna take a superman to sweep me off my feet! I need a hero!...I swear there is someone somewhere watching me...I can feel his approach...I need a hero!*} Chae Yeong Shin is one of my favorite female leads in dramaland so far! I loved her attitude and personality - it was awesome! She was strong, brave, funny & down to earth - The best character that Park Min Young has played so far! She was a small time reporter who had big dreams & when she meets Healer her life takes a path she never expected^^ ~It's a beautiful feeling~ <3 Kim Moon Ho a big time honest reporter and my second favorite male character on this drama <3 I'll be "stalking" him from now on^^ He is someone who really is at odds with his older brother & is determined to bring the truth to light. and then there is the ever so precious Ahjuma <3 I loved her to pieces! She was so frumpy, grumpy, silly and professional all at the same time - she's a character I won't ever forget <3 I even loved it when she'd occasionally throw a small temper fit in her room keke^^ & her random singing was goofy :P Everyone else did great in the roles they portrayed too ;) Myung Hee, Moon Sik & Yeong Jae 'Teacher' (I'd laugh whenever he'd smile while dissing someone) & Chae Yeong Shin's dad & the ahjussi that worked at the café were hilarious! :P

Music/OST: PERFECT - I was SO SO SO happy when I heard Michael Learns to Rock (MLTR) as the OST!!! I absolutely adore their music <3 Favorite song by them of course is 'Eternal Love' <3 Then the song by Ben 'You' & Ji Chang Wook's song 'I Will Protect You' <3 <those were my top 3 favorites but I also enjoyed Tei's song 'What My Eyes Say' - The OST is just so good on this drama!

Re-watch Value: No joke, I will be re-watching this drama VERY soon! ~oh my love, I'm all yours~ <3

This is my favorite Family drama out there! The storyline is amazing, the cast is great, the music is awesome, the plot is superb!
Characters: you've got
Donghae: (Ji Chang Wook) who plays a smart innocent nice guy who was ditched by his girlfriend of 6yrs and then he meets Bongi.
Saewa: the evil ex-girlfriend who tries to get in the family of the rich in order to make her self known (she is the evil girl in the drama).
Anna Laker (my favorite mother) who after an accident when she was young is stuck with the mindset of a 7yr old - but she is loveable, yet sometimes a bit too naïve/stupid in things she does - but the reason is obvious.
Donghae and Bongi are my reasons for loving this drama. Donghae is the best male lead ever - he is trustworthy and loveable! Someone who believes in his love no matter what.
159 episodes (35 min episodes each) so it's more like 45 episode drama.
I've watched it twice and want to re-watch it again - I even bought the drama! to me it is a Masterpiece!!!
I loved every character in this drama - but all in all Donghae and Bongi were still my favorites :D
I HIGHLY recommend this drama if you like Family dramas!

This was an amazing drama!!! and I almost passed it up! I intended to watch it for Taecyeon but after seeing the first episode (where it was really heavy in the politics) *I'm not a political fan usually* I put off watching it until this year (again for Taecyeon) *Thank you Taecyeon for being in this drama or I might have passed up a really great gem!* So even if you're like me and don't usually like political dramas - believe me this one isn't to be missed! The writing, directing, acting, ost everything is top notch! It's a serious drama (b/c it is about politics) but it's also funny and warm-hearted <3

Cast: Jung Jae Young plays Jin Sang Pil a honest good hearted man who speaks out (and loudly too) when he doesn't like something or when he's trying to get his ideas across - at first he comes off as ignorant but you soon start being amazed with what he is saying - there were many times that my face looked like In Kyung's - I'd go from "oh brother, he's not listening again" to "wow, what he is saying is really true and it hits home!" LOL - a brilliant actor indeed! I applauded him and admired him - He is a character I respect!
Song Yoon Ah plays Choi In Kyung a person cast aside by her trusted sunbae & becoming an aide by pressure to Jin Sang Pil (a complete novice in the political field) She at first doesn't consider him as anything but a hick but slowly she opens up to him and admires him & completely supports him - the best "aide" you could ever ask for! First time I've ever loved a female character so much! She was absolutely awesome!!! A woman to be admired <3 I also looked forward to her facial expressions! They were PRICELESS!!! :P
Ok Taecyeon plays Bae/Kim Gyu Hwan the son of Bae Dal Soo (a friend & co-worker of Jin Sang Pil) - misunderstandings underway, he decides to work for Sang Pil in order to enact revenge - little does he know that he will come to admire this man himself ^_^ His role is very minor compared to the 2 leads but I really enjoyed him in this drama <3
I won't take time to go over any more characters/actors but they all played their roles exceptionally well :) They could either make you admire them or become disgusted by them.

OST: I only remember instrumentals but I loved them - especially one when something big was about to happen, it was fast tempo and I swear I've heard it before :D

I will definitely re-watch this drama when I find time. I didn't want this one to end while I was watching it! and I would recommend it to even those who aren't highly fond of political dramas!

The Best mystery drama I've seen in a LONG time! I marathoned it in 3 days, as soon as I watched the first episode I was hooked and could not pull myself away! I was constantly conflicted over who the real criminal was. I'd go from one suspect only to add another and another and another! I had at least 5+ suspects on my list and a few went on and off a couple of times lol If you are like me and love a good mystery, then this is one not to be missed!

Cast: Yook Sung Jae as Officer Park Woo Jae was my personal favorite character - he was so eager, determined, nice, and wouldn't let go of his "detective instincts" ^^ He'd investigate things other detectives were brushing off with the help of his sunbae officer Han Yeong Sa whom I also really liked - two great officers/unofficial-detectives from a rural area who shined the most! Moon Geun Young as Han So Yoon was great in her role as the new teacher trying to figure out what brought her to Achiara. (not everyone likes her acting, but I do, I couldn't imagine another actress playing her role). Ohn Joo Wan was my second favorite character - I loved every scene of his. Choi Jae Woong as "the young agashi" was the most confusing and perplexing characters in this drama! Great acting! Park Eun Seok as Nam Gun Woo "the art teacher" another complex role - definitely going to keep my eye on this actor!
Every actor did such a splendid job with their character - and I can't say much or I will unveil the mystery!

Music: this is the first time I actually enjoyed the instrumental OST this much - it fit perfectly and still remains in my memory - usually instrumentals don't leave a lasting impression for me but this one did.

I would definitely re-watch this drama again! Such a good drama! I'd recommend it to mystery lovers!

Wow, one of the best thrillers I have seen! It's an exciting ride that will have you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire series! I liked everything about this drama - it's short enough to marathon in one day if you want to ;) Watch it - you won't be disappointed!

Cast: Cha U Jin - a righteous prosecutor who has erased a painful memory from 15yrs ago when his former girlfriend died. He meets Eun Bi who is nothing like his girlfriend besides the fact that she looks exactly like her. When he meets her events keep happening that bring him back to the case of his dead girlfriend - what really happened and why did she die? Who is this person called X? Eun Bi - a head-strong and very willful rebellious teenager - she meets Cha U Jin and his partners and starts to change. The prosecutor team were wonderful supporting characters - who devote their time and trust to Cha U Jin.

Music: I only know one song sung by the leading actress I believe. It was pretty and went well with the drama but isn't something I'd listen to outside of this drama.

Re-watch Value: 8/10 - I'll be picking this up again someday - it's a great watch!

I'd write more but then I'd be spoiling things for you. ;)

This is a drama for people who like 'Melodramas' - luckily I am one of those people :) I wasn't interested in the first 13 minutes b/c it was too "animated" but after that I was hooked right in - I really enjoyed this drama from its younger actors right to the adult actors, the story is sweet but melo, but all in all I thought it was very heart-warming - nothing really bothered me - like I wasn't worried about things that were going to happen, I watched this drama with ease and no characters annoyed me (you know like annoying 2-lead characters).
Story: was beautiful and very well done, really made you believe that this was real....
Cast: Dong Joo was my favorite - he is so loyal and honest and loves with all his heart - he is also very very forgiving. Soo Wan was pretty good - there were times when she'd act a bit stupid or harsh but she still managed to redeem herself in the end. Ji Won is the "second lead" male - but he was refreshing as he had no malice and he was very honest and an all around nice guy - he's not your usual annoying pushy second lead - he knows how to let go and that made me like him. Teddy was adorable, loved his scenes...and everyone else played their roles well all the way to the end.
Music: I liked it, some Korean songs and lot's of old English songs - my favorite is 'With You'.
Re-watch Value: 8.5/10 - I will probably re-watch this again sometime in the future - if only to see Lee Sang Yoon's beautiful face again <3

What can I say...This drama was BEAUTIFUL <3
I want to say this is a perfect drama lol - it's very unique and written so extraordinarily <3
Story: Doctors that deal with the mind and a writer who has a past - really makes you think what lies behind a person's outer personality. I really really liked how this drama portrayed this and how things were eventually revealed and how they dealt with it -
Cast: Jo In Sung - he really won me over as Jang Jae Yul, I loved his personality and I loved his painful past and how it was brought across to us viewers - very heartbreakingly sad - I really felt for his character. Ji Hye Soo - she definitely had issues but Jae Yul really brings the best out of her. (hard not to spoil lol)
Music: Perfect each and every song <3
Re-watch Value: 10/10 - most definitely going to re-watch this drama - one of the best made this year!
Want to say more but the words just won't come....

this drama special has "quiet" feel to it, lots of emotions displayed throughout, maybe a slight "heavy" feel to it as well - almost makes you feel like you are them carrying the burden that they carry....
Overall I did enjoy this drama, it was short enough to keep me watching and the ending even though it wasn't what I wanted, it wasn't terrible and at the last minute it left me with a feeling of "hope".....
I wouldn't watch it again b/c it's not the type of show I'd want to re-watch but I definitely would say watch this drama if you've never seen it before.
Cast: Yun Woo Jin was my favorite character (he was also the reason I decided to watch this drama special). His acting was excellent :D
It was my first time seeing the actress but she played her role really well too.
Music: nothing special

This was originally set for 12 episodes and they cut it in half and only made 6 - but it's not like any of the stories are connected so I can't say that they rushed it or anything like that. Honestly if there were more than 6 episodes I don't think I could watch much more of this - It deals with so many different relationship problems and tries to find solutions for them - It was interesting but maybe a bit tiring too...They re-used the same cast for each episode and each episode told 2 different relationship issues - most of them were open ended (making us the viewers decide what the person would choose in the end). It made me think relationships are hard work and involve lots of trust....

The cast all did a pretty decent job portraying all sorts of characters, from goody-too-shoes to cheaters and everything in-between. When I watched the first episode I was a bit confused about the re-use of the same cast - so I thought it was a continuation of the first episode when I moved on to episode 2 but every episode is different.

If you want to explore different relationships and want something short to pass time - and especially if you want something you've probably never seen in drama-land - then you could give this a try - it's not my favorite drama out there b/c of these reasons - but it was a decent to watch once (for me personally I won't re-watch it - once was enough).

A drama you must go into emotionally prepared b/c it will tear at you. Be prepared for tears T_T I recommend for most people but not anyone who has experienced Cancer by any family member - This drama shows the progress throughout the drama and it gets harder to watch it as it progresses.

Story: About a woman who's husband is cheating on her and she finds out she has an incurable disease. (The two stories overlap and then separate in the middle - the beginning is more about the affairs and the latter half is more about the disease). Also we have the main leads sister (who is also a main lead) who happens to be in an illicit affair herself with her first love who left her for money & power - her story will develop and shift focus halfway through as well ^_^

Cast: Choi Jin Shil as Sun Yi a woman who saves money and lives as thriftily as possible who married a man 3yrs younger and has 2 children and after 10yrs of marriage finds out about her husbands affair and the fact that she has cancer. Her acting was great - you will cry for her and with her. She had a hard life and wasn't appreciated by her in-laws until too late.
Sun Hyun Joo as Sung Moon I really despised his character early on - he was a real jerk. But I began to appreciate him in the end.
Lee Tae Ran as Young Yi (She's the reason I decided to watch the drama) was definitely my favorite character, I really enjoyed her character, her hurts, pain, her looking on her own relationship after seeing her sister and her love in the latter half of the drama. (Plus she had great fashion sense!) She is a really loving sister to her older sister, she truly appreciates and loves her. She may have been a bit misguided early on but by watching her sister turmoil she changes.
Nam Goong Min as Je Pak Sa was a wonderful addition to the cast in the latter half (I think he was introduced in episode 11) - His presence made the depressing atmosphere of the drama not so depressing lol - he was a light shining in the darkness you could say ^_^ His appearance for me was totally unexpected (as I didn't know he was in this drama) but I welcomed him with open arms! I loved his pursuit of Young Yi ^_^

Music: Perfect for the drama - I especially loved the OST by 'The One': "Thorn", and "Letter" by Jung Hyun Lee

It has re-watch value for sure but it would definitely be hard to re-watch b/c it's so painful. But there are a lot of lessons to be learned in it.
