After looking around to watch this prologue, I found it on Viki. I admit this was a pretty cool prologue. It did a great job setting up the movie. There was a slight killer mood that fits well into the psychopathic sadistic mood in Lesson of the Evil. I was a little disappointed Hasumi's past didn't get as much focus as he should have gotten. The movie explored his sadistic thirst for murder really well. I just wish he was set up a little better in the prologue to explain where his need for murder came from and why he did it. When he was in college, I wanted to know more about what lead to team up with his classmate to senselessly murder and why he ended up murdering his classmate whom he killed with. Luckily, Lesson of the Evil explained all of this.
