current crave:
anything with the talented Matsuken in it!

I kinda regret how I abandoned his act all of these years eventhough I've acknowledged his great skill at least from half a decade ago. Else I'd have much easier time following his project like 1 or 2 a year, not in marathon like this, hahah!

Love of the moment: Usagi Drop (the movie)
Will always craving for: good and smart story with unique original smart plot & full of surprise. It doesn't have to be a particular genre, I open myself to any genre as long as it has good story (as long as it's not overly sadistic nor incest).
I'm a long time dramas watcher but not many of them I had watched till the end. Most of the time I lost interest, but even more often, the problem was simply the lack of my free time. In the end, the dramas I watched the whole episodes were either:
- Dramas I loved it very much (which is a very seldom case, because even when I did love a particular title, the lack of free time often forced me to cut them out of my drama list unwillingly, and by the time I had free time, other promising new drama was up or I simply forget about it), or-
- Dramas I watched for the sake of my favorite actor / actress of the time,
- Dramas which were aired on TV, so I could watch it casually while doing other things (most of the time this was the case)
Anyhow I'm very picky when it comes to give full grade to any dramas/movies. But really, my rating (8 rated or below) was sometime kinda random. So, this is just my personal note (to guide my self when rating a drama).
- I will only give 10 to the very special ones, mind-blowing pieces, masterpieces, and most of all: meaningful. Other important thing is, it has to be original in the plot/story & outstanding in every aspects (haven't found this one yet),
- 9 To the very good ones, which are not only offer great entertainment and excels in most aspects, but also meaningful / carries good hidden message,
- 8 to the good ones which had potential to be worthy enough to get my 9 grade, but failed in some (or many) aspects, and also to the good ones which I appreciate some aspect of it (ie. the story telling, the hidden message behind the story, awesome cinematography, etc), well, sometimes, simply those good pieces I feel they deserve grade a little higher than 7, lololol;)
- 7 to the good ones/enjoyable ones -> here the real bias goes: Even when I consciously acknowledge, the show was mediocre, if I enjoyed it, it'll belong to here. But in contrast, no matter how good it was, if it had unforgivable flaw(s), it'll belong to here as well. Those which have potential to be great, but turned out to be not that great also belong to here. Some are actually really good / much more than just enjoyable but lack of either originality or depth or the overall feeling it gave me. Note that many of my past favorites belong to here, and as much as I like to adjust my score, those which were once my favorite, will never be downgraded below here;
- 6 to the mediocre/acceptable ones (some boringly acceptable ones belong to here, some were mediocre at its best), and actually some of my 6 graded shows were pretty much more than just mediocre, or not that boring, but I simply couldn't connect to the story. Some of them were actually pretty much enjoyable, but lacks too many flaws (unoriginality and draggy story often being their biggest sin),
- 5 to the below average ones, pure boring ones, or mediocre but I have my reason why I didn't rate it with 6. Note that no matter how boring the show was, up until this point (5/10 score), I'd still understand if some (or even many) people like it though,
- 4 to the bad ones I won't recommend it to anyone,
- 3 to those rubbish I do wish I hadn't wasting my time watching them (angry to myself. These were my own fault for thinking, "who knows next episode this will be better" all the time and not just drop it from the beginning),
- 2 to well, those even worse than the 3 rated ones... (I don't think I will rate below than this).
I'm still searching which drama deserve the 10 grade of mine.. well, if someday I finally found my perfect show worthy enough to get 10 from me, I think I couldn't recommend it to everyone because I appreciate unique masterpiece ones. And those kind of show is usually not for everyone.
As closing, I admit, sometimes I kinda mixed up in giving rating esp at range 8-5.. haha.. Pardon^^ (that's why I make this list anyway, to guide my personal rating ;)
