I watched weightlifting fairy because of all the hype. At first I watched the first two episodes, couldn't handle it, and dropped it. But then the hype for this show grew even more so I picked it back up again. I watched another two episodes and then left it on-hold for a long time. Finally, the hype was so strong that I decided to just watch it all the way through (of course this includes skipping through many scenes, I have no patience for that).

Parts of the show I skipped are any scenes revolving around Song Shi Ho. I could not care for her problems or her story. I also skipped most scenes including Jung Jae Yi and the school nurse, unless the main characters were included in the scene. Again, I could not care less for them or their problems. I skipped most of the weightlifting and swimming scenes. I only watched Bok Joo's big moment as far as weightlifting goes and then for swimming I may have watched one of the first races before I gave up. I skipped these scenes because there is no plot progression. So, when reading the rest of my review, please understand that I have probably skipped half the show, because that's how much time all of these parts took up.

-Story-

As mentioned before, weightlifting fairy bored me from the very beginning and I would not have finished it if it weren't for all of the hype. The story is simple. It is a slice of life story, which is fine honestly, but the premise just didn't interest me. I like other slice of life stories, but not this one. I can honestly barely remember what most of the story was. I can remember, however, aspects that bothered me. One of them is eating. These girls were always eating. I know nothing about weightlifting but these girls were too obsessed with food. There were so many eating scenes, it's like every character was starving or they needed to make sure someone else wasn't starving. All of them actually seemed very well-fed. I'd say eating scenes took up a good chunk of the show. The eating scenes didn't even make me hungry, I was just disgusted by their unhealthy diets.

But enough about the negatives. As far as the romance goes, it was done well. There was no bullshit when it came to confessing. As soon as they both realized their feelings they got to it and there was no extra angst. This was refreshing. Their care for each other was also very believable. There were also some really sweet moments that I just want to replay again and again.

-Characters-

*shiver* The characters. The worst part of the show imo. I hated the weightlifting coaches. They acted like children, especially the woman coach, and were way to up in the business of the main character. Bok Joo's friends were annoying as heck, especially the shorter one with pigtails. Every time she showed up on screen I wanted to give up on watching this show. She was unbearable. The other friend was annoying but she wasn't half as obnoxious. The rival, Song Shi Ho was annoying but she honestly didn't cause much trouble and she owned up to her actions.

Bok Joo was annoying most of the show until around episode 12. I shouldn't have to wait 12 episodes for the main character to be less annoying. Many fans of this show think of her as a strong female character, but she was just an absolute grouch. She always looked unhappy until she finally started being nice to the male lead. She was easily provoked and violent. She always wore super bulky clothing and walked like she was holding a basketball between her legs. The only thing that redeemed her is that she owned up to her feelings and accepted them instead of sitting in denial for four episodes.

Male lead was perfect. I have no complaints for him. Great acting. Amazing acting. I could watch him on screen all day. Nothing he did ever annoyed me. He was the most genuine character in the show.

-Music-

The music, overall was good. I have two songs from the show that I've listened to multiple times now. One of them is called From Now On and the other is Dreaming.

-Overall-

I can't give this show higher than a seven. While it has some of the best romantic scenes I've ever seen, that doesn't completely make up for all of the fluff, useless scenes and bullshit I skipped through to reach them.

I watched K2 because Ji Chang Wook played the main character. Otherwise I probably would have never picked it up. In my opinion, anything with Ji Chang Wook becomes better than it would be without him.

But as for the drama as a whole?

It was a mixed bag.

Some things just didn't work. There were many plot inconsistencies and things revealed near the end (I just finished the last episode a few minutes ago...) that weren't explained enough or were kind of rushed. I feel like the whole story could have been fleshed out more. Also, you have to take a lot of what happens with a grain of salt. Dramaland is very strong in this drama. K2 should not have been capable of what he was capable of, especially near the end.

There are too many little inconsistencies and faults that I can't remember them all. I'd have to watch the show again and write them all down. I won't do that though. You'll just have to see for yourself.

By far, the first 5-6 episodes were the best out of the entire show. After that it went downhill most of the time with a few bumps here and there. I mean, it wasn't that bad, but nothing beats those first few episodes. They sucked me in immediately.

The characters were okay, but like I said before with the plot inconsistencies, they apply to the characters too. Near the end I really wasn't sure what some of these characters were about. Also, the relationship between the two leads never moved my heart. It felt misplaced. The transition needed to be done better.

There were a few cheesy moments here and there as well. The end was weird too. I felt like some of the reactions these people had to things were backwards and they need to get checked out by doctors.

The action scenes were fantastic! Though sometimes even those didn't make sense. A lot of the times guns weren't used when they were within reach and I'm pretty sure it was just a plot device to help out K2. But other than that the fighting was just breath-taking.

The music was amazing! I want to download the soundtrack as soon as possible.

Overall, it wasn't a bad show. If you are watching it for the same reason I did, Ji Chang Wook, you'll be pleased. If not, you might just want to concentrate on the action and music and not question what's going on. If you don't want to do either of those two things, at least check out the soundtrack and pass on the show. The soundtrack is at least worth listening to.

This is my first drama review. This is the only drama so far that I've felt obligated to review.

I've seen people on the internet say that this drama is over-hyped, and that they dropped it after a few episodes. Honestly, I had no idea it had hype before I watched it and I had a completely opposite experience. I know we all experience things differently, so I find myself fortunate to have had such a positive experience from watching this drama.

I have watched a lot of anime and a lot of dramas. For a while I considered "You Who Came From the Stars" and "Healer" to be my favorite dramas, but not any more. "It's Okay, That's Love" tops every drama I've seen in every department. Despite falling in love with so many other shows, this is the first show that made me hop onto eBay and purchase the DVD set the day after I finished watching it. Before that I felt anxious and troubled not to have the physical copy in my hands.

Before I watched this show, I was in a light depression. I had just started college and I was feeling depressed about having to complete all the stupid gen eds. I had no motivation and nothing was making me happy, until I saw this. This drama changed me. I am happier every day. I used to begrudge people, but now I love them. I don't care about the gen eds anymore because I feel positive that everything will get better.

Let me get into the actual review!

Story

Perfect. It starts out with a blurry picture of something that went down in the past, but you don't get the full picture until near the end. Many dramas do this, but this drama did it undeniably well. The realizations I had when the whole picture was finally revealed still make me tear up when I think about them. There was never a slow part. This drama had a message and it got that message through quite clearly.

Characters

Fantastic, my favorite part. So much detail was put into these characters. You hate and love parts of them. They feel human and their reactions feel real. I'm so sick of the annoying crap most dramas put their characters through onky to rush the ending unsatisfactorily. These characters weren't mistreated. They all played their part and made an impact on the story.

Cast

Fantastic acting. Sometimes the characters express things that you might miss if you don't look carefully. The actions are subtle, but present and they make the characters feel more human.

Music

This is a big thing for me. The music caught my attention on the first episode. This may seem sad, but this drama introduced me to a lot of English music I didn't even know about. The soundtrack was wonderful and listening to many of the songs immediately brings a smile to my face. A couple make me cry. The music just suits the show so well.

Overall

Watch it. Give it a try. Maybe if you're lucky like me, you'll get an overwhelmingly positive experience. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this drama changed me. It may sound silly, but it's reality and it changed me for the better. I've yet to come across a better drama. I've yet to watch a drama that has impacted me this much. If you don't like it, it's okay. No worries. If you do like it, I'm happy for you. Thanks for reading this review.

This show is one in a million

I watch a lot of kdrama. I’m extremely picky. I often skip around the episodes and never watch anything all the way through. This show, I never skipped for a second. I enjoyed every minute of it.

High quality production all around. Great cinematography, visuals, music. All was done extremely well. The acting was great too, from every character. I never felt annoyed by the characters or the acting. Watching this show is like taking a bite of rich chocolate mousse and savoring every second of it.

The story kept my interest throughout. I always wanted to know what would happen next. I think the only negative thing I have to say about this show is that there were a few too many plot twists. I never knew what to trust. I guess that is how it keeps you interested, but it got very ridiculous at the end. I wasn’t sure if there was going to be a happy ending or not up until the last 10 minutes of the show.

Overall, I highly recommend. This show has captured my mind and taken my breath away. It’s a beautiful masterpiece that I was delighted to experience.

Goblin is a good drama, but even though I gave it a 9, it is not the best in other ways. I'll talk about what was good about the drama first, then I'll talk about what I disliked about the drama.

Characters

The characters were all great, especially the two male leads. Their interactions with each other were especially entertaining. I can't say for sure that I really disliked any of the characters, though I think I liked the second leads better than the male leads. They were more entertaining and they made a little more sense than the main leads, which I will get back to later.

Actors

I loved every one of the actors. Usually there's an actor I hate, but not in this drama. They were all enjoyable to watch and they all did a splendid job.

Plot

The story was interesting, especially with the grim reaper stuff. In the end I kind of wish that the way life and death work in the show would work similarly in real life too. The plot always kept me interested throughout the show and there were a lot of cliff hangers. Stupid plot devices were used sparingly and they partially made sense.

Visuals

The cinematography was fantastic. Even if you don't like everything else about this show, you will just like looking at it. It is beautiful and a sight for sore eyes.

Music

I love the majority of the music in this show and I've listened to many of the songs multiple times. The soundtrack really stood out and I don't think I really disliked any of the songs.

What I Disliked

I felt absolutely no chemistry between the male leads, personally. I thought they made great friends, but I always grimaced at any romantic moments. I just couldn't see them together romantically. I see them as inseparable friends, but no more than that.

Also, the main male lead kind of irritated me. He's supposed to be like 800+ years old but he acts like a child. Also, you cannot tell me that he never fell in love with anyone until he met the main female lead. I think it is an excuse to blame his childlike behavior on his personality. In You Who Came from the Stars, the main male lead had lead a similarly long life like the main lead of Goblin, but he was not childish in any name of the word. I felt that his personality was far more realistic for someone that had lived for a long time. As a character the main lead of Goblin is great, but when you realize how long he's lived he just doesn't make sense.

Overall

Of course I recommend that you watch Goblin. Overall it was a really good show and there are plenty of reasons to watch it despite my negative comments at the end. Give it a try and you'll probably like it.

I never expected Shopping King Louis to be good. It looked like your generic K-Drama, but I was wrong. This drama made me smile countless times and it is honestly just a really feel-good drama.

Story

The story was great- up until around episode ten. Then from that point on things start to go downhill. By episode ten they've pretty much covered the main story line and after that they had to bring out all of the K-Drama BS like going to another country/going away, break up for no reason, stupid second-lead, getting into trouble out of nowhere, etc. It would have been perfect if they ended the drama earlier.

Overall though, I liked the plot. It was simple and effective. Rich guy loses his memory. Country hick finds him. They survive in Seoul together. There were many sweet moments because of this setup.

Acting/Cast

The acting was great. Usually the female lead doesn't interest me that much but this one, Go Bok Sil, was great. She never really did any K-Drama female lead BS until the end, and even then it was kind of understandable. She was overall one of the better female leads I've seen.

Louie was great. He really seemed innocent and sincere the entire time, and his smile, well, both of the leads' smiles, warmed my heart. Again, the lead was different than usual. He was not a jerk at all and he was outright funny a lot of the time.

Hated the second lead. I like his actor but his role was pointless. He never had a chance and he knew it (he never even confessed his feelings). He took up precious screen time that could have been filled by the leads.

Music

I only really like two or three songs from the OST, but the drama also had a lot of English songs that I liked that were sometimes the titles of episodes. Some of the song choices, in particular two that I won't mention, were absolutely hilarious. I haven't laughed so hard at a K-Drama in a while. All I can say is that the execution was perfect.

Overall

Watch this drama! Even though I say it is only good until episode ten, that is a fair amount of good episodes for a K-Drama. Also, you can just skip through the bad parts in the last six episodes to get to the good parts like I did if you really don't want to sit through them. This drama will make you smile and it is a pleasant surprise. It didn't feel cheesy at all.
