I usually have to watch at least 2 or 3 episodes of any drama to get into it. Same goes for my all time favorite Secret Garden. The show didn't capture me until the first three episodes. But CYHMH is the first drama that only took fifteen minutes to get me in. The plot is so simple yet so intricate. The characters are conflicted and the actors do a fabulous job in portraying them perfectly.
CYHMH has everything a melodrama should have. The love story, which is so cute, the family problems, revenge-that's a big one, sibling fights, humor, and loads of drama that'll just blow your mind! The show does get serious at some point and make you think of a simple situation in several ways. But that's the beauty of it. JunHa/Ma Roo did scare me at times, he looked so freaking mad, but I guess he has a good reason for it.
I love the Cha DongJu and Jang Junha pair. They are so adorable together! And I just can't get enough if Kim Jae Wons smile. As I mentioned before, the actors were amazing depicting the characters lives. I wouldn't say it's very realistic cause I'm pretty sure things like that don't really happen in the real world, but it accurately shows the struggles and pain people of different status go through, whether they're chaebols or middle class people.
This is definately a drama people should watch. You won't regret it. It's got a good message too.

I don't really know what to say about this drama. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. I actually had to force myself to watch it. It felt like a drama without a plot. Ther was no chemistry between the characters. They didn't bond at all and the acting felt awkward. It felt like the actors were just waiting to say their lines and get it over and done wIth. There was no emotion whatsoever. It's just too messed up, and sometimes the story just didn't make sense. Honestly I wouldn't recommend this drama to anyone, especially Thunder's fans. Don't watch it. You'll just be upset and disappointed with the story. But if you have absolutely nothing to do with your life, then you could probably give it a shot.
I guess the writer tried to write a story that wasn't already out there.

I don't know why people keep referring to this drama as rip off of You're beautiful. It's not. I agree it has some similarities but the the whole point and concept of the show is different. In YB the Go MiNam was forced to act as a guy and be a part of the band. In Kpop ultimate audition Ji SeungYeon chose to act as a guy in order to get in the band. See the major difference? I really enjoyed YB and I definitely enjoyed Kpop UA too. Both of them are musical gender benders and are bound to be somewhat similar.
Kpop UA captures you right from the very beginning of the episode. It's exciting and interesting and you really have no idea what could happen in the very next second. It is funny and different from most gender benders. The Main lead is strong and is not afraid to do what she wants. She's got her ups and down because of her feelings, I mean it is a romantic drama and that's too be expected. Go EunAh did a perfect job in portraying the character. Next comes WooHyun. Ricky Park is so freaking adorable in this drama. He's just amazing. And those times when he smiles and you see the dimples! It's just cuteness overdose. I think he did a fantastic job as WooHyun. It was perfect. The emotions and the actions, you just know that they're not acting for the sake of it. Along comes the rest of the guys. I personally like SeungYeon and JiWoo's friendship. Honestly I envy their friendship. The M2 members also performed very well. At times it did feel a little too exaggerated but it was okay. And it's filled with members of idol boy bands so you kinda get like flavor of all the personalities. The friendship and the relationship of the members of M2 is really well portrayed. It kinda gives an insight on the workings of annEntertainment Industry and that it's not all fun and games.
All In all, I think the drama was really good but I still don't get why it was cut short. I believe it would have been one of the loved musical dramas if it would have continued on as a 16 episode sitcom like planned. i guess it because people thinks it's like YB that they don't give this wonderful drama a chance. It is a worth watch. Even if you insist on giving up just see YooHwan smile and you'll want to watch it over and over again. And believe me, it is not a total ripoff of You're beautiful. It's got its own story. The ending is very disappointing but then again it's not the writer or the directors fault. It's our own fault because this show was not getting enough views ("due to its similarities to YB").
Otherwise it's an amazing drama with awesome cast and rocking OSTs.
