Basically, it doesn’t matter if you don’t usually watch dramas from China, or if you don’t usually watch period dramas, or if you don’t usually watch long dramas. This drama is, objectively speaking, so splendid and magnificent that if you don’t check it out, you’d be missing out. Big Time.
Not even exaggerating, by the way.
1. The polish : Everything is carefully, lovingly, beautifully shot, costume and background music, everything is precisely, just-so perfect
2. The acting :The cast is a sprawling one, as befits the scale of the story, and from the principal characters to the secondary characters, to even the small, incidental characters, every single one is well-acted with his/her unique character, character development and plot twists adds a lot to the story and each character
3. The Romance : THE BEST, Great chemistry between the two main leads, with UH-Mazing cute scenes.
4. sisterhood and motherhood : this close palpable relations between main leads and secondary characters are so breath taking.
5. The villains : with their acting forced to hate them more and more with every passing episode.. they did great job
What a breathless, breathtaking journey. Equal parts brilliant and satisfying, and executed with such meticulous, fine care, The Princess Wei Young is definitely a drama for the record books.

The Trailer (promo) seemed too promising , the forbidden romeo-juliet themed love , encouraged me to watch .. ONE WORD this drama is THE BEST korean historical Drama I have ever seen , everything was perfect from acting , production , music , direction , This drama is no.1 on my list coz it contains everything a watcher needs from Romance , to action , politics and twists , to the extreme happy cute moments to extreme tear sad moments
2) Storyline/Plot:
Magnificent , the whole story was solid , the love , the cute romantic scenes , the hate , the revenge the forgiveness , the new love , everything about the story is perfect , the screen writes did a really good job , even secondary roles story are perfected .
*The cinematography is great , which is one of the strong points of this drama
*Main Genres:
--->Action and politics : Best ever
--->Romance: EPIC , the chemistry between the 2 main leads is high and present , u can feel every single feeling they feel , u'll live with them .. feel the love , hate , revenge , new love ..

3) Acting/Cast:
*Main Leads : Moon Chae Won and Park Shi Hoo both of them done a really great job , the chemistry between them is high and present with strong impact.I became a big fan of moon chae won after this show , I watched all her other dramas ..
*Supporting actors : all of them done a perfect job every one in his role , starting from the king , to the servant . Kim Yeong Cheol , Song Jong Ho , Hong Soo Hyun
each done a really good job , Even the 6 years old Kim Yoo Bin , especially in ep 17 , I can't Imagine how a 6 years old girl can act this well !!!! she made me cry , 10/10 for choosing the supporting cast this perfect .
*Relationships:
--->Romance: the starting romance in 1st episodes " Beautiful and cute " I didn't expect it at all to be this great , coz this is a historical drama after all HOW CAN THE ROMANCE BE CUTE IN OLD TIMES , but seriously I was hooked, the scenes were amazing..And what's even more amazing even in hatred u can feel the chemistry between them , its my first time for me too watch love in hatred , u must watch to understand what I mean ..

2) Storyline/Plot:
VERY POOR, the weak point of this drama, the story was good in the first half of the drama, but at the middle of the show it took a different unrealistic, repetitive, boring turn, with no characters developing and not well written twists
*on the other hand, The cinematography is great , which is one of the strong points of this drama

4) The ending: very bad written, if u skip the last 4 episodes of the series it will makes no difference .. poor ending

1) The reason I watched this :
if you’ve poked on my dramalist, you would probably know that I watch Korean dramas almost exclusively. It’s partly habit, partly soft spot, and partly the excellent production values that kdramas tend to serve up. Coz I do like pretty things, as you very likely know.????
Still, I like to keep an open mind, and when something that’s not within my usual wheelhouse gets a lot of buzz, the curious cat in me can’t help but want to see for myself what the fuss is about.
That’s what happened here.
2) background and cinematography :
A LAND OF FAIRYTAIL, its a world in itself , a unique story plot fantasy world , full of twists and LOVE , the scenes itself , are original .. The production values of this show are so high that it often feels more gloriously cinematic than modestly small screen.
Everything is carefully, lovingly, beautifully shot, and it is a literal feast for the senses. From the amazing landscapes, to the loving camera angles and every meticulously-framed shot, to every deliberate, painstaking detail in set, costume and background music, everything is precisely, just-so perfect.

3) Acting
Our principal cast does a tremendous job of bringing their characters to life, and even the baddies are excellently and believably portrayed. Layered and nuanced from the big moments to the quiet, subtle ones, every major character is delivered with an admirable level of mastery and commitment.

4) The writing
Its all about the writing ... this show wouldn't have been a success without the great mind of the writer,As excellent as the production values and acting are, the writing is truly the star of this entire show. Mad, mad props to Hai Yan, who not only wrote the original novel, but also penned the script for this show.

The main reason I watched this drama is because of Yoon Eun Hye , I'm a big fan of all her dramas and Park Yoochun I like his acting too , This drama is highly recommended , plz don't miss it . Unique outstanding story , keeps u on edge all time with a lot of twists and emotional tension .

Despite my love to Park Yoochun and Yoon Eun Hye, but his acting is this series is at the top .. best actor in this drama ..
*Supporting actors : BOTH Yeo Jin Goo and Kim So Hyun :D were amazing , I really did like the first few episodes even I liked them more than the main leads . both of them are good actors , i think they have an amazing future ahead
*Other characters were Perfect , the cast really did a great job , everyone was suitable for his/her role
*Relationships:
--->Romance: one word " MISS YOU " , chemistry 8/10 and 10/10 for young actors
Cast: 9.5/10.
Acting: 10/10.
4) The ending: one of most happy ending in comparison to melodramas , and was beautifully done though I didn't like the 2nd lead end .

The main reason I watched this drama is because of Yoon Eun Hye , one of the most beautiful talented female actors . Which I personally like .
2) Storyline/Plot:
Despite the fact that I gave to the story a score of 10 , its your ordinary rich guy / poor girl story , contract marriage story , with a simple love triangle ( your normal average Kdrama story ) the question here why ? why did I give it 10/10 !!! , thats simply because of the scenes itself , original .. I like a lot of romantic scenes , also the story shows good development .. I consider this rom-com drama among my TOP 3 in the Rom-com category.

I think those who rate it 8 and above, is due to their lack of experience in Historical dramas, or they didn't watch enough of Historical drama to compare to, I watched 50 + History drama and movies, so I can say that compare to the rest its an above average drama.
1. The polish : unfortunately a lot of unrealistic cut out scenes that doesn't make sense, a lot of loopholes and naive errors in direction that prevented then drama to be an epic one.
2. The acting :The cast is a sprawling one, as befits the scale of the story, and from the principal characters to the secondary characters, to even the small, incidental characters, every single one is well-acted with his/her unique character, character development and plot twists adds a lot to the story and each character. which is one of few strong points of this drama that make u keep watching engaged laugh and cry in a lot of scenes.
3. The Romance : Average childish immature romance, Average chemistry between the two main leads, with some cute scenes.
4. Story : the weakest point in the drama , very childish not creative enough and lacks a lot of important factors of history drama, comparing it to other Gil Dong stories or rebel themed history drama, its the weakest of them.
5. The villains : with their acting forced to hate them more and more with every passing episode.. they did great job.
6. cinematography and direction : below average.
7.Music : strongest point in the drama, played at right times, memorable and keep playing in your mind

The main reason I watched this drama is because of the unique story mix , and the ALIEN concept its very rare to find this type of dramas , thats the main reason for me , As for the cast they were not catchy for me , I have just known Kim Soo Hyun for his amazing role in The Moon that Embraces the Sun in-which he did an amazing job and showed some promising talents , also Yoo InNa who doesn't know her , MAIN role in a very similar drama named Queen In Hyun's Man , best romantic role she ever played, but I liked more her act in this drama as a second lead, it more suited her rather than being the main actor, overall This drama is highly recommended , plz don't miss it . Unique outstanding story , keeps u on edge not all the time but enough to keep u watching .

--->Romance: very cute , the chemistry between the 2 main leads is present but not that strong

*Main Leads : Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun both of them done a really great job , but this is not what amazed me , what amazed me more was how the whole cast members leads to the success of this drama , as for me Its my first time to watch an actor called Jun Ji Hyun after a very long period last thing I remember was her famous role in my sassy girl .. she was good but not that perfect for me. but overall both of them were perfect for the drama.
*Supporting actors : I liked most of them , everyone was averagely perfect ..
*Other characters were Perfect , the cast really did a great job , everyone was suitable for his/her role

--->Romance: one word " Alien Love" , the Alien part added a lot to many scenes especially the second kiss scene make it a unique magical one of a kind scene , chemistry 7.5/10

The main reason I watched this drama is for many reasons 1st the HONG SISTERS , I never miss any drama they write , 2nd the lead actors seemed promising (I was not familier with Shin Min Ah and Lee Seung Gi back then :D now both of them is my favourites )

The main reason I watched this drama is because of positive feedbacks and reviews . those who say that you can't stop yourself until you've finished the 20 episodes of it , its true its one of the best if NOT the best korean rom-com , I've ever seen , highly recommended , plz don't miss it .

1) The reason I watched this :Mainly because of the revenge plot , and the cast ..
2) Storyline/Plot:
First 10 episodes were perfect , I may have given it like 8 or 9 , but scoring a show is after finishing the whole show , everything cracked at the end its like different writers or something , or they wanna speed everything because of Kim Nam Gil who suddenly they realized he had an army to spent a year in , worst ending ever in K DRAMA I have ever seen , and by worst I don't mean a sad ending or something , NO its completely stupid and OUT of Order , doesn't make sense at all , all characters development were strange in last 2 episodes , every single one acted out of his and her role , out of their character as we know it with sudden developments for example a harmless , shy girl turned into a very bad character suddenly and whats make it more strange , she has no regret , and enjoying her life at the end ??? the main female lead just kissing a guy previous episode , and suddenly I love the other one ??? what is this , and NOT only this every one acted weird , the end itself as a story is so stupid if u compared it to suicide case at the beginning and all the police efforts ?? wondering how the end is this stupid !!! as if u're watching a different story , the last 2 episodes were just this stupid , which makes all your journey worthless , my advice stop before ending (if you could , I know its impossible ) and figure out your own ending , I'll add a spoiler part why the ending is stupid and not worth watching if u wanna read it at the end of review .
*The cinematography is Average , some scenes were perfect in terms of direction and production .

Why the End is too stupid to watch ?? The writers are making Fun of US the viewers actually
the ending 2 episodes as I said before the worst ending ever in K DRAMA I have ever seen , and by worst I don't mean a sad ending or something , NO its completely stupid and OUT of Order , doesn't make sense at all for the following Reasons :
1- The ending twist and story : The final crime scene , I just want you to compare it with the beginning suicide crime scene , for the first one its obivious that its a sucide case but the strong incredible policemen said NO , u don't know why , but they were incredible followed every single lead untill they found the truth , best policemen ever , final scene complete opposite obvious murder case , he was shoot in stomach and jumped over bridge , Obvious murder case , and guess what they regarded it as if he committed sucide ?? never search for the reason , tell me how ??? I'm dying here whats wrong with you , as if its completely different police in a completely different country ??
2- They announce a dead body on single paper on street bearing the same scar that guess what the whole police department is searching for the man having this scar the whole episode , FUNNY right !!! inaddition , they already seen him many times , and could easily recognize him .
3- the sudden appearance of MAIN evil character : NO COMMENT , ?? Questions WHEN , WHERE , WHY , HOW COME ??? u dunno
4- His sister how come she didn't know he's her brother , and if she didn't know uptill the incidence which makes sense , but how come she didn't know after ???? and how come his family didn't reach him ( older sister ) , or talked with her sister , as if all knows except for her ,
5- The character developing : all characters development were strange in last 2 episodes , every single one acted out of his and her role , out of their character as we know it with sudden developments for example a harmless , shy girl turned into a very bad character suddenly and whats make it more strange , she has no regret , and enjoying her life at the end ??? the main female lead just kissing a guy previous episode with affection sensed , and suddenly I love the other one ??? and the other I'm not part of family bye bye , go to other man he needs u more, was he this sort of character man ??? Big sister , whats wrong with her .. ??? The male lead , its time to pay for my sins ?? dude what sins , the way I see it everyone done horrible things except you , compared to them u're an angel , u want ur life u damaged ur family they forgave you , everything thing ok , whats with ur decision ?? OUT OF CHARACTER ..
6- The final scene , his home door open for everyone , at any time , NO LOCKS , just any passing dude from the street can enter !!!!
7- Walking at the streets for a long distance till reaching the bridge and nobody cares to help him !!!

because its a HISTORY drama and " I like histories ", and being a drama that involves Merchants, makes it so interesting to watch.. new idea new concept
