This is not a zombie movie

This show is talking about a disease and zombies who have been turned as zombies, they can be killed easily with a gun because they are technically human, not dead corpses. Some of them developed immunity against it, some can control thirst, some cannot. That’s why not everyone is afraid of the zombies here, they can be told not to attack either. This show is more about human that are more evil than the infected ones, technically chaotic environment will push human to go crazy over time, getting locked down forever will turn them to be insane too. So many unloveable characters in this show, especially that doctor oh who is very weird in his own way. He likes the mistress even tho he knows his mistress wants money until mistress tried to kill him. I really hate that ahjuma who tries to be building representative, she is truly the epitome of evil. She just likes to stir problems and make other people go against each other. What i do like in this show is the evil ones got punished severely either by karma or other thing. The funniest part is that the ones got infected can live peacefully with other human as long as they can hold their thirst. This is interesting. Especially the granny and grandpa with their son. This show is not perfect, it has plot holes and twist. But it’s still interesting to watch. I like how FL finally realized that she is in love with ML. No one would resist a guy who sacrificed a lot like that.

I love vigilante show

I like this show. Initially, I don’t want to write the review but i read some of the reviews here and I’m gonna defend this show. Well the story is about evil vs evil, so you don’t need to expect the main character to be pure hearted like super hero, even the female lead is also savage. This is what i like about this show. No bullshit. Some people said they are out of character or they are too much in punishing the criminals, I don’t think so. For criminals who bribed the whole government to do evil deeds, they cannot punish them in the normal ways coz justice doesn’t work for them, in fact the whole justice system has been serving their evil deed.

While the show is not perfect, it doesn’t deserve a 5 or a 6. The show is really funny, i enjoyed watching it, it’s rare for me to enjoy kdrama show right now, as i am bored with the same formula and tbh i am in my kdrama block right now. So this show is quite surprising that it’s still fresh and funny for a total of 20 episodes. Definitely a keeper!

Heartwarming story about family and their hardships

Hmm.. where do i start...

This show has 10 episodes and each episode has different story about each person that has moved to heaven (passed away). It also has a bigger main story that will unfold slowly. The epic one is in the last episode. It’s so heartwarming, i want to cry. This story taught me a lot to learn that we must stay grateful no matter how hard our life is because everyone has different history, we as people should try to communicate better, be more understanding, don’t assume anything until we clarify the fact tru communication. Don’t stay bitter and childish because everyone has their own reason to do something.

It’s not everyday that we get this kind of story. Not sure why the rating is not that high. This show is practically one of the top kdramas in my opinion.

Worth your time

Hahaha i cannot imagine that it took me almost 6 months to finish it. It’s not because this is not good, but i stopped along the way because it has not finished airing that time and i was busy then i have no mood to continue since i’ve already forgotten about it. Also, i feel that towards mid of the show, the story becomes weird like not convincing enough for me. Yeah as someone has stated, it has many coincidences. But one day, it appeared on Netflix and I thought i should continue watching it.

Bam! It was quite good. I binge watched the rest of 4 episodes that i have missed for one night hahaha. It’s quite unpredictable and i feel sorry for the main character and the villains too. I mean i feel like they are all victims. There is an answer for that weird story development in the end. Well, just try to watch it, will you?

The acting is so good.. Joon gi never upset me with his acting. The lead female is also good. They both have great chemistry. I mean, i seldom feel something for a drama, but this show makes me feel so sorry for them and the rest of the casts. Like their characters are so real. It’s really heartbreaking to see such things happen to them. Ugh.

The story is amazing. I don’t really like episode 16 though, it seems like it’s a filler story and i am not convinced with how their relationship ends. I think the ep 16 should go into details about the villain’s problems. Why he turns the way he is. H is also a victim of his family conditioning and competitive attitude to win at almost everything. I still give 9 stars for casts’ performances alone.

Best 2019 drama. It’s very warm and realistic. A story about mothers, society and relationship. Mothers sacrifice a lot of things for their children. Responsibility as adults too. Sometimes people’s tongue can hurt other people so we should be careful of what we say even though it’s not intentionally. Some mothers can be selfish because they want the best for their children. Relationship will cause friction and it’s only natural that way, but we learn to stand up for ourselves, learning to set up boundaries. This show has a lot of lessons for us to learn from.

I just finished watching this drama today and i am still in shocked. My mind is blank right now and I don’t know what to say. I always like historical drama especially when it involves humanity and wars. I like how the writer slowly builds the storyline and the relationship between characters here. I think this is the first time i like most of the characters in the kdrama show despite of their flaws but they totally bring up the dynamic in their interactions with each other. I like how far that they grow on you in each episode and they totally steal your heart.

The focus of this drama is about relationship between the king, the righteous group, friends, and most of it is about patriotism and justice for sure. It’s not so much about romantic relationship though the drive between 3 male characters’ action is towards the main female protagonist which i can totally understand, who wouldn’t fall in love with a gorgeous, brave and smart lady like aeshin? Ohhh, i like her a lot, i think aeshin is my most favorite female lead in kdrama right now.

I think they have the most profound love that stands through hardship, i really like how they respect and help each other, oh it’s too perfect and beautiful. It’s rare to get this kind of respect in your relationship nowadays. I admire their characters a lot. Huhuhu.

The cinematography is excellent, acting is also excellent, music is awesome. The journey watching this show is really enjoyable. I like a cold hard truth show like this one, i can finally say that i like your drama, kim eun sok. I don’t know how to explain this drama, you should watch it yourself coz it’s hard to explain without spoiling the story hahaha. Ok.

I like how relatable this show is with adult's life. I can imagine how much i suffered when i just graduated university and worked in the office. I struggled to achieve my dreams too and this show is about hard work, struggles and responsibility that makes me think about my bitter-sweet life back then. Life is not always so perfect and flowery, not all people have many choices on how to run their life. This show is a perfect example on modern life's struggles. It's almost perfect if not for the filler at the last episode hahaha. Well, kudos for kdramas coz kdramas are making many improvements in this year.

Umm i like this show, it may not be too sensational, but my husband and i enjoyed the show. It has a couple of good cases in it, like that crazy ahjushi or that couple who murder the kids. The case is not overly lengthy and it’s not too focusing on the emotional part, which i enjoy. I don’t like lengthy episode just to fill in the screen time like typical kdrama. There are some emotional parts inside too that tell the story about the killers on why they commit the crime etc. i think it’s pretty good. Maybe it’s because I don’t watch Americans’ criminal minds. I don’t think it deserves 7.9 stars coz there are many bad kdramas which have above 8.0 stars. 7.9 stars is too low for sure, this show is certainly above 8.0 in my opinion.

Uum this drama is ddabong!, the story is very refreshing and unpredictable. It's so funny like hell. I lost count how many times i have laughed for this show. This drama is good to cheer you up during tough times in life. Heavy drama could make you think harder and feel nervous, but this drama makes you feel younger because of the comedy. The 90's style is also very nostalgic. It's a journey about an ex-idol who learns about life through his family in the future. He learns to be a responsible adult eventually. It has many aspects, not only talking about one person's life but also the whole characters life, what their dreams, their hardwork to achieve it, a delayed dream that has been swallowed because of uncertainty, etc.

Acting is great especially for hyun jae aka da bong. Cha tae hyun always does a great job. Grandpa is so lovely. Mal sok is cute and funny. Their family may not be perfect but they love each other.

Music is ok.

Rewatch: I have re-watched a few funny episodes.

Overall: a very satisfying drama, good job.

STORY
I would like to thank the writer to write such a beautiful and real story of friendships, now i know that k-drama writer can write not only about romance, but also friendship and difficulties during wars. Why is this friendship so beautiful and heart touching? It's because the relationship last for a century, it's talking about forgotten past, bittersweet memories. Especially when they can be happy and content through tough times, during Japanese occupation period. There is no real evil villain in this story either. Their conflict is not human-made but more of the condition of the wars.

I like all the phrases that the writer wrote, especially in the ending when Hwi Young said "Please write our story on my behalf, Please write that we had lived through these rough times, Even when we were faced with a dark reality, We all lived diligently, and absorbed the pain, We found hope in despair. We found happiness in danger. We all loved and fought to our utmost ability”

I felt goosebumps when i heard that phrases, i mean, i can never imagine how to live in a country where a war happened and even during tough times, human can stay together and bond deeply with each other. It's really our privileges to live freely like now and we should respect people who fought for our freedom in the past. They have sacrificed so many things for us, although they are not perfect.

This kind of story really touches my heart, i always like the story that's related to history especially wars. Such as Schindler's list, life is beautiful, gone with the wind, etc. It's just very nostalgic. I feel like i can relate to all of them in the past.

Although this is a story about revolutionist, it doesn't talk too heavy on politics and wars. It focuses more on relationships and how human can thrive despite of difficulties. That makes me appreciate this more. It also has many humors, it's not heavy, this is one of the rare k-dramas that i am really looking forward to finish it without getting bored at all. I never skipped even one second, honestly I keep repeating the scenes and the phrases that i like. It also teaches me a lot of stuffs. Kudos to the writer, u have written a story that i will still remember until a very long time.

ACTING/CAST
What can i say? THEY ALL BRILLIANT!!! I mean, it's very seldom to watch a drama that all the casts have been delivered such a top notch acting skills and Chicago Typewriter nailed it BIG TIME! From Yoo Ah In, Lim Soo-Jung, Ko Gyung-Pyo, Kwak Si-Yang to all of other casts, they all amazing! Can stir up emotion in me. Okay, I admit it that i cried a lot when i watched this show towards the ending, the only other k-drama that made me cry was signal hahaha. They all amazing in delivering their emotion in their scenes so i caught off guard and cried like hell.

Music
10/10!! It perfectly sync with all their scenes in the past, it just makes me more emotional by listening to the song, even now when i am listening to the ost, the scene is still replaying in my mind.

Rewatched Value
I swear i never re-watched any TV shows before coz it's time consuming, but i re-watched this hahahahahah, because somehow i still miss them and i want to go to that 30's era again. The backdrop is gorgeous, the costumes, the musics, ahh i miss everything .


Maybe it's just me, i don't know, maybe i am biased, i don't know, but i like everything in the drama.

OK, the story is interesting. It's sweet and also full of mystery. It teaches you that life is fragile, time is limited and you need to appreciate your loved ones. There are some plot holes but so far not really bother me.

Wow, what a wonderful performance from Lee Je Hoon and Shin Min Ah,
solid acting! This is what i call talented actors.

HOWEVER, there is this little annoying thing that really bugs me. Yoon So Joon wants to save Ma Rin right? But it's for a silly reason in the last episode. That's really upsetting. It just spoils the whole greatness of this drama.

just wonder why marin is so stupid and careless -_-; i mean at the last scene, when the accident supposed to happen, why does she have that habit to cross the road blindly, that's the whole point of the drama, it's because of her carelessness that her dad sacrificed his own life, why can't so joon warn her stupidity to not crossing the road while there's car around. I get it, she was pushed by someone accidentally but instead of going back to the pedestrian lane, she chased her marriage certificate in the middle of highway. Why is she like that? Gahhh.. Is she a little child to chase something on a highway without even looking around whether there's car, like that?

I mean, the whole story and concept is GREAT, but the reason for Marin's death is only for her stupidity. That spoils the whole drama. It's not like a grand death where she cannot avoid it like what happened to happiness director's fate, it's not like inevitable accident, but she just does it repeatedly and it's annoyingggggg!!!! The whole reason for So Joon and Marin's dad misery is because of Marin's hobby to cross the road carelessly. She seems like fishing for death. Ok, that's all, other than that, everything is fine.

This is a drama that has been written by the same writer (oh my ghost and weightlifting fairy kim bok joo), so i gave it a try. It was quite funny and hilarious. Honestly, i enjoyed watching it.

As usual, the writer will make the r/s growing in the drama that their characters also develop. I dislike the little sister coz she is a little nuts i think, female lead is too weak but i guess it is just her personality, but she is kind hearted. So for people who dislike weak female character, stay away from this drama.

All in all, yeah, just put aside some logic and u will enjoy the show coz the humors are charming.
