So I have watched this movie 3 times, and i still don't know how I feel about it. I want to like it, I want to see the humour and be able to laugh at the silly things they do... but its hard.

What I like: I like the way the movie portrays love, it shows that everyone can love, and it isn't restricted to certain people. We definitely need more films/dramas looking at different ways to love.

What bothers me: I am sure people realise that this is not a very realistic portrayal of Psychosis/Schizophrenia/Psychiatric Hospitall. It bothers me in a similar way that many movies show love in one light. However, I can handle that, what I don't like is making everyone that has illness seem like full on crazy weirdos. I understand that Psychology in Korea is quite taboo and there are a lot of stereotypes all over the world but there isn't any need to create a film to back up the stereotypical 'Schitz'

It was a cute and refreshing love story, but it portrays this unrealistic vision of mental illness that is simply not true. This deludes the perception of people who don't understand as much about the conditions.

I wonder if this movie had been about two incredibly unsociable people who fall in love, would I like it more and would it be more popular? If it was set in a dormitory instead of on a ward at a Psychiatric Hospital and the characters were all students finding out about life and love and freedom. Hmm...
Thanks for reading~

Just to note- I have seen In Time With You and absolutely loved it. And then I watched this one, and absolutely loved it. It seems many other people didn't enjoy it that much (maybe i'm just so biased because of Choi Won ahahaaha)

I loved the story, it was pretty simple and coherent and the acting (esp. Lee Jin Wook) was great. A lot of dramas these days are far too complicated, the writers need to chill :')

Didn't really hear much of the OST cause a lot of it was very Kpopish... but it definitely wasn't bad.

One thing I feel the need to say is i'm pretty dang sure '?? ??? ??' does not translate to 'The Time We Were Not In Love' .... but anyways! :')

Lee Jin Wook is fantastic, and Ha Ji Won was pretty good as well! -I'm happy.

So I actually started watching this drama when itwas aired, and I absolutely loved it, but towards the end I found the plot starting to drag so I decided to finish it later... Almost one YEAR on, I've finished it!
I think i'll just sum it up quickly... Loved the acting, and the OST (I still listen to it today and have a huge love for old mandorock/pop tunes! There are many episodes worth re-watching, but I think the final few episodes weren't that great. I loved how relaxing yet exciting the plot was, and it was nice to see a perhaps more realistic view of university/college :D

9/10 score, very happy, just wish the ending was cleared up a little more :)

Okayy! I actually watched this drama agesss ago, however I have rewatched it a number of times for reasons that I will state below :D

9 - Story. I loved the whole story, no matter how cheesey and wacky it was, I loved it. The only point I would make would be the ending. I have heard that there was supposedly a season two and thats why they didn't wrap the ending up as well as it could have been but it was by no means terrible! Yes - I would have done it different if I was writing it. No - I didn't hate the ending in any way, in fact, I have seen some endings to dramas that are much much worse than this!

10 - Cast. I CAN understand why people don't really like Ella, and for a time it put me off, but if you can get past the cringey feelings you get when first watching it, it gets a whole lot better! (It took me 2 or 3 eps to get over it and from then, I really started to enjoy her character). I don't think people understand how much I love Jiro in this drama, he had me at hello! (or when he offers his umbilical cord as a 'rare' gift HAHA) Wu Chun is amazing too, in fact the whole cast is brillant, I just don't want to bore anyone with my ramblings! :P

10 - Music. *WARNING - HIGHLY ADDICTIVE MUSIC* I think I enjoy the music a little too much (got the main two songs on my phone and all ;)) That is all.

10 - Rewatch Value. This drama is so quirky and light-hearted that I find myself re-watching it (or sections of it) a lot, especially if I am watching a melodrama or something and I feel all depressed about having to wait a week for the next episodes. I just put Hana Kimi on, and life feels good again! So definitely a big 10 for that!

10 - Overall. My view is that it is amazing for the type of drama it is. So if you are looking for a romantic comedy (that is actually hilarious!) then you should give it a go, just please don't watch the first episode and think it's so cringey and weird that you drop it. I did that the first time around and dropped it for a bit, then went back after a while to give it another chance, and I am SO glad I did!

;))
