WHAT A SHOW.

It was just one of the all round best shows I have ever seen. There is not one one thing I can pick out that I would have wanted to be different. The acting, the development, the twists and turns were just perfect. I have a habit of reading many reviews before watching the show and I read many mixed reviews but decided to give the show a shot anyway. Thank god I did. After watching the show I just can't understand and relate to any of those faults they found. I genuinely found the show just amazing.

Story: The main complaint in the negative reviews was the lack of story. I am not one for melodrama's so a story like this that is light but intense of the romantic side and extremely focused on main couple is something I am very content with. I don't believe you need major second lead jealousy, manipulative parents and all the crazy K drama go to cliches for the story to be interesting. I quite enjoyed this break from the typical angst. Something I was personally worried about before watching was the 'health' concept. I really didn't want it to be too preachy and to make you feel really pathetic for not being motivated like her but that god they approached it in a light enough matter.

Characters: This show made me realise the importance of chemistry. Honestly there could be nothing else and just the main couples interaction and the show wouldn't be boring because the chemistry was electric. It was like nothing i've seen in any drama or movie before. I didn't for a second feel like they were two actors playing a part.. I recently watched and dropped 'My lovable girl'.. A show that also showed me the importance of chemistry but in the opposite way.. This has lead me to make the hypothesis that chemistry between the main couple is what can make or break a show. Can we now mention the eye candy? How hot were all 3 of Kang joo eun's men? Cutie pie ji woong, Mouth water-ingly hot Joon sung and of course our flawless coach-inim

I just finished the show and its like the middle of the night but I just had to write a review to gushhhhh about how frikin amazing this it was! It was my first show that wasn't strictly a rom-com or melodrama and I was a bit weary at first but damn am I glad i watched because I absolutely loved it. It had so much emotion, so much story, so many feels. An all round complete and perfect show with a little bit of everything.

Story: The story was supposed to the the heart of the show and of course it was.. There was a new twist and turn almost every episode and you just had to keep watching until your eyes couldn't stay open any more. I don't want to say much because anything I do will probably be a spoiler but in my opinion it was a great story. I would have loved a few more side cases and a little less focus on the main case but thats just if I had to pick faults. The only real problem I had with the story was how tragic they had made poor Daegu's life by the end of it. I understand he was a phenomenally strong character but it became a little to unrealistic. Personally I felt a real life Daegu experiencing everything screen Daegu did would have had un healable scars that he probably wouldn't be able to live with. But i've read a few reviews that have criticised the writing, it may have gotten a bit confusing at points and a little to obvious at points but overall I think they did a great job. The way they made you feel for the characters, the way there didn't use all the typical cliches but slightly more intelligent plot devices.. I was thoroughly impressed.

Characters: Before we get to the obvious let me just express how much I love the team. They just complimented each other so well and made me want be a part of them so badly. They way they had each others backs whenever something went wrong was just heartwarming. They were above everything the heart and soul of the show and kudos to all the actors for the amazing portrayal. I secretly still believe that this is a very real group of people working rn in the Gangnam police station but shhhh. Now lets get to Eun Dae Gu. The most interesting yet tragic yet endearing character I have ever come across. I have never been more impressed by an actor than I was by Lee Seun Gi. He was beyond mind-blowing. Im not one of those critics that even focuses enough to tell the difference between bad acting and good acting but boy you can tell when its this good. He is by far my favourite on screen personality like I can't even express I just want to squeal when I think of him. And it doesn't hurt that he is beyond cute. The piercing gaze and pouty lips awwwwwwwww. Though it was an ensemble cast Eun Dae Gu was definitely the star and he deserved to be.. He's a character thats going to stay with me for a long time.

Daegu & Soo Sun/Relationships: I doubt this is a spoiler as its obvious from the second they become 'path-uh-ners' that they are destined to be together. I am a hard core romantic and I have to admit the speed at which this relationship developed bothered me in the beginning but the way the writers pleasantly surprised us with Daegu initiating and being the open one made up for it all. I just wish we could have seen a little more of them. You must understand that it is difficult for a romantic to admit this but I must say that the heart of this show wasn't their relationship but the building bromance/father-son relationship between Daegu and Detective Seo. It was one of the most beautiful things I have seen on screen and it successfully brought tears to my eyes numerous times.

So if it isn't already obvious from my gush-ing.. This show is a MUST MUST watch with you want some yum boys, interesting story and heart warming moments!

Rhyming review of DOTS!
Hi guys wanted to do something different and special for this extra special show!

Here goes...

I clicked on a new show called Descendants of the Sun,
What I got was lots of action, lots of romance and lots of fun.

It took the world by storm, with ratings that were so high,
If you haven’t watched it stop reading this and go and give it a try.

Because no matter how high your expectations are it will still blow you away,
And once you start you won’t be able too stop and finish it in a day.

It shows us an epic love story that’ll really touch your heart,
You’ll feel the joy, you’ll feel the fear, you’ll feel the pain when they’re apart.

Our sexy sexy soldier will definitely be your new crush,
Whether he’s shirtless or in his uniform he’ll surely make you blush.

Our leading lady Kang Mo Yeon is really sassy and smart,
But she’s also dorky on the inside and really good at heart.

You’ll be very jealous when you see their chemistry,
Many times you’ll be left wondering where’s a Yoo Si Jin for me?

Their journey isn’t easy, at first they try to deny their love,
But its tough to escape from something written in the stars above.

The road isn’t at all easy, many obstacles come in their way,
No matter how tough the situation is, in the end its always okay.

The writing is well paced, keeps you on the edge of your seat,
But in between the action there are many moments that are sweet.

The side love story of Myung Joo and Dae young if filled with longing and desire,
We witness a pure love which also sizzles like burning fire.

The bromance is real and makes you go awww.
They have their backs when it comes relationships, missions and war.

We learn many lessons and our respect for soldiers grows,
The sacrifice they make for our countries this drama really shows.

The doctors aren’t much less and are inspiring in their own way,
They also live a difficult life saving people everyday.

All in all i’d give a 10/10 rating there really was nothing missing,
Just sit back enjoy the action, the drama the love and all the kissing.

Hope you enjoyed it

What a beautiful show. With the perfect mix of emotion and humour and a heavy dose of some great acting.

Cast: I cannot think of better actors to play their roles. Every person in the show completely owned their roles. Whether it was the main characters or smaller characters like Chief secretary Tak or the 'Hamo Hamo's'. It was one of the shows where you completely forgot that these people weren't Lee Gun and Mi Young shi in real life and everything on screen was not actually real. That just shows how good the acting and the transitions in the story were. And everybody physically fit their characters really well too. Hang Hyuk and his vast array of hairstyles and suits fit his colourful yet powerful personality and Jang Naras cute face which was by no means ugly fit Mi Young shi's innocense perfectly.

Story: Accidental pregnancy is a story line I love. Any kind of forced situation where the main couple develops deep love for each other is my kryptonite and a cute little baby on the way is the cherry on top! Got to admit the whole plan due to which the pregnancy happened was beyond stupid and almost made me second guess the show in the beginning it was the way the main characters had been written that sucked me in. One thing I was worried about in the beginning was the use of Se Ra in the story line but as unfair as it was to her I liked that she wasn't too much of a hurdle in the development of love between our main characters. The only complaints I have is firstly the use of 'amnesia'. I hear its a popular tool used by K drama writers but this is my first drama to have seen it and I cannot say that I'm a big fan. Though I understand why it's popular because it opens a lot if different doors in terms of the progression of the story. My only other complaint is that I really wanted Mi Young shi to show and to just be MORE pregnant. Like I wanted them to tackle cravings together, have baby showers and things that would make us connect with Gae Dong more also!

Characters: The characters were wonderfully sketched out and unique. I loved that there wasn't really any antagonist and even the step mother and the board member were just a big joke. Lee Gun to me was the most unique and interesting characters. He was warm and considerate from the very beginning. He wasn't the typical crude chaebol heir. Cant say I loved the laugh and unnecessary raising of voice but he was definitely my favourite character. Another character that stood out for me was the mom. I spent many hours pondering over her behaviour in the end and I can't say I didn't understand where she was coming from. Her fierce protectiveness and all out love was very endearing.. Especially her relationship with Gun. Gotta give the show credit for giving me a cast where I didn't really hate anyone which made it an easy show to watch and re-watch.

I need to made a shout out to the OST because i think its been my favourite so far. Almost all the songs stayed with me even after the show was over especially Ready to love and Goodbye my love.

If my gleaming review is anything to show for it I LOVED THE SHOW and 100000 % recommend you watch it

My introduction to asian drama's! And my first and last Japanese drama yet..
I gotta admit that I am a preferrer of Korean dramas but I have to give this show credit for drawing me in and introducing me to drama land.

Story: As far as the story goes.. Forced live in situations are my absolute favourite story line so this was write up my alley. I also have a special spot for high school dramas as they tend not to get tooooo melodramatic. This show knows how to leave you at a cliffhanger.. It isn't possible to leave it at one episode.. You have to keep watching till you eyes can't keep open mainly due to curiosity. Another thing I'm a sucker for is when the on screen couple is an off screen couple.. It just gives you a whole other dynamic to think about while watching which I love. I loved the show a lot the first time but when I watched it a second time my opinion fell a lot which means thats its probably not a great show to rewatch. But I like that there wasn't much scheming and 'adults interfering' and it was just simple and sweet..

Characters: I have to shamefully admit that I am a huge sucker for the good girl turning the mean guy nice especially for her so I liked the way the story unfolded. There were times I felt Uehara was unnecessarily mean but Ii guess its the contrast in his personality that makes everything so sweet in the end. Nao was such a sweet and lovable girl that it was impossible not to feel for her. I must say though that there were points where she just seemed too slow and childish which irritated me a lot. Cant say I had any special love for the second leads.. I found Daichi to be to desperate and Issei was better but cmonnn she already has a guy and he is HAWWT. Special shout out to her cool mom and to her amazing friends.. Loved them!

I needed to mention the last episode because dramas often tend to lag towards the end and end on an extremely underwhelming note but Good Morning Call most definitely did not. It actually almost brought tears to a generally dry eyed persons eyes.. Uehara was just so perfect and spoiler alert the secrets he had up his sleeve where just so heartwarmingly cute.

Overall would definitely recommend it as a one time watch.. Especially if you're into J dramas!

I have literally just finished this drama and am to emotionally unstable and attached to do an in depth analysis of this show (hopefully at some point I will).. But i've just come online to tell anybody who is contemplating watching this show STOP! You have stumbled upon something mind-blowing and you are in for a treat. Don't think any further just press play because you are in for an amazing 20 hours. It keeps you gripped every second, makes perfect sense at every step despite the complicated plot, doesn't give any uneccesary angst, has amazingly lovable characters that are going to stay with you forever along with being funny and having all the feels.

STOP READING.. START WATCHING. Lucky you.. I wish i could watch it for the first time again.

Hmm..
Its not bad.. But with a world of exciting drama's out there to watch.. I just couldn't bring myself to finish it.

Story: I was a little hesitant while starting because i'd never seen such a short drama before and I hate it when things end abruptly and aren't wrapped up well.. But the unusual story line caught my attention and I decided to give it a go. I'm sure people have said this before.. but it really gave me a 'John Tucker must die' kinda feel. I had read comments and reviews praising the nature of the main leads relationship and that was one of the reasons I wanted to give this drama a go.. So I enjoyed the initial episodes and the build up.. But the downfall for me was the over exposure of the ex's. I know that that is what the drama is about.. But it was all just so unintelligent and silly.. Certain days I could bear it to get to the better parts but on certain days (more often than not) it was really unbearable. When there was no doubt that the main leads are going to be together without any hiccups on the way I just found no reason to keep watching after the 8th episode. Don't get me wrong, I don't love angst and I love a nice, problem free relationship with lots of cute moments to aww at but there has to be some chemistry.. It shouldn't feel like two siblings.

Characters: This may sound bad and superficial but being attracted to the main lead is a major factor that keeps me interested in watching a drama. And in this case I just wasn't. And i'm not talking about physical appearance only. He just seemed so child like (not in an endearing way) and so one dimensional and boring. Song Ji Hyo is basically the reason I picked up this show and she didn't disappoint. I mean I may be biased because I absolutely love her but I enjoyed her portrayal of Soo Jin. The ex's were just toooo over the top for my liking and I just found it exhausting to keep up with their motives for their actions. The second lead,if we can even call him that, was an arrogant know it all that I felt absolutely no feeling for whatsoever.

OST: The main song was honestly the best part. It was so upbeat and lively and just seemed to fit the chaos on the screen.

All in all, I would say.. You caaaan watch it but there are definitely better things out there.
