I never really considered watching foreign TV shows as I found them a bit annoying having to read subs all the time. Then I watched My Princess which tweaked my interest, next came Goong S which sucked me in, and then after that I became a drama addict!! I've watched over 50 dramas in the past 6 months (Yikes!!) and the numbers keep growing.

My other interests are predominantly animal focused, as I'm in college for a Veterinary Technology degree. Acting as a musician is my other main hobby playing piano for various functions, and squeeking on the violin, stumbling along on the guitar, or tooting with a recorder at my leisure. Side hobbies of mine include fiber arts like woolspinning, knitting, crocheting, and kool-aid dying (one time I forgot gloves and turned my fingers orange like I had been eating cheetos- oops!! :D). Watercolour Painting, reading, photography, and stamp collecting are a few more to add to my dorkier hobbies, but I do thoroughly admit to being a bit of a geek.

It is so much fun! My mentor teacher is great and I love sixth grade. I hope I get a middle school class next year. Also, scantron machines are fun things.

It was a camp to study American history and civics. My friend's dad was helping teach it. Ooh! That is quite the itinerary! For an indoor girl, I love hiking and camping. I hope the weather's nice! One of my best friends is from Utah.

It really was a fun trip! We were going to a summer camp in the mountains in Washington, but we stopping in Yellowstone for a few hours, and went by the Great Salt Lake on the way home. We were also going to stop by Mt. Rushmore, but we didn't have the time. What all states are you going through? (and sorry for the late reply! This weekend was graduation, moved out of my apartment and in with a friend, and started my teaching clinicals at the middle school, but now everything's back to normal!)

Indo, as in Indonesia? Ooh, fun! I've driven with my friend and her parents from MO to Washington state, up in the mountains, and we didn't stop for the nights. I can't sleep sitting up in a car, so I was so miserable by the time we got there, never again! I hope your trip is fun and relaxing :) Road trips can be pretty awesome.

I understand, that's cool. One of my best friends only has two female friends, me being one of them. It shouldn't be too hard of a dance, but the syncopated rhythm, which makes it cool, would make it hard for me to learn. There was break dancing? Really? I somehow missed that! Maybe I didn't watch that version all the way through....
  • waterbird12 13 days ago
Oh, and, here is the dance I mentioned, the actual song starts at 2:30; it's from a tv show since the actual mv is a little weird, but...(http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ewKtJmprvhA)

Ah,I'm not sure I can pick a favorite! Maybe getting to speak Japanese everyday, my friends, and traveling. That's lucky they has extras! I don't travel much either, although I like day trips. I did get to go visit a friend in NC in April, though. It just coincidentally worked out that my friend was going there for something, so I got to hitch a free ride with her :) But that's unusual, and I've only been home twice this semester.

I'm sorry :( That's really mean! I have another friend who mostly hangs out with guys. I never really had guy friends til this year actually, at least since grade school. Yeah, and we were really lucky our school let us have that deal. I have two sisters, and they are pretty awesome :) You have more than one brother?
  • waterbird12 14 days ago
Yeah, I studied there last year. Oh no, that sounds painful if you can't take your contacts out! Do you travel a lot?
Girls can be so mean. I sort of had that at my school too, but it never got really bad. And yeah, classes are so expensive :/ I worked at the school to help offset the cost. But my baby sister's the only one at home now, so she can take all the dance classes :) Or a lot of them, anyway. She's a better dancer than I am, I would never get really good at Modern like she has, but I want to learn it.

You know, if you find a studio where you can take class regularly, and then do a little conditioning at home, you could still get to pointe :) I've had friends at college start ballet from scratch, and now one's been on point awhile.

Ooh, that sounds like fun! I wish I could do the dance for Ke Sera Sera, the choreo is all syncopated and super catchy!
  • waterbird12 15 days ago
Oh, and actually, I've never had to look for adult classes, since I can take class at my university (albeit a fraction of what I used to take in week). Last spring I was home for a few months, but I danced at my old school (with the middle schoolers, but it was fun :)) In Japan, I had no access to a studio, and it was so sad. I might've been able to find one, but it would have been expensive, and probably not a comfortable atmosphere for me or them, so...we'll see how I fare after graduation. (And sorry for double posting! I'm not very concise, am I m(_ _)m )

I can definitely relate! The one thing I always forget is pajamas, but that I can deal with; forgetting my oral healthcare supplies, not so much. Lions are not really my favorite, but most large cats, yes. And birds of prey. Anything sleek and majestic and powerful, basically.

Ballet is one of my earliest, deepest influences, so I don't think I'll ever stop loving it. Tap I took a little bit in grade school, and it was a lot of fun :) I'd take an adult class now if I had time. I was on pointe but, was never very strong, and in college I don't have the time to condition for it. Or to keep enough weight off, either.

You can dance Kpop? Nice! I can't really pick up choreo in a style I haven't trained in before, or at least it would take forever. I really need to some jazz and modern classes to diversify.

Somehow I always end up packing the same amount whether it's a weekend or two weeks. I have too many non-clothing accoutrements.
But then, after living in a tiny minimalist apartment for a year and then packing my whole life into two suitcases, when I moved back to school in Missouri, I totally underestimated what I needed to bring. Like I didn't pack my rubber scrapers or snow boots >.<

Tigers are my favorite. Leopards and panthers are pretty cool. And yes ballet. I also do some folk dancing with another group. I really need to diversify my dance vocabulary.
I know that feeling so well! Needing to go take class, but having no time or studio. It's like being hungry but realizing you have no time to eat all day. I'm not a good balancer or graceful either, it's just because I love it, all the way :)
  • waterbird12 17 days ago
Yeah, I personally hate packing in general. Fortunately my sister is also helpful when it come to suitcase tetris.

Wow, you have my admiration :) That is seriously a lot of stuff to learn, and then you also have the responsibility of your patients' health. I think dentistry would not be my first choice, trying to brush my dog's teeth was never fun. I love the zoo! We used to have a documentary of sorts from the STL zoo that showed vets taking care of the big cats. I used to watch it a lot because I really love big cats.

I went to a private school of sorts in early elementary, and then for high school I was home schooled and attended an arts school for dance and for the last two years also took a couple college classes.
  • waterbird12 19 days ago
I have training for a few weeks, and then I'll get assigned, which is gonna make packing fun. Cool! My cousin's in vet school. It sounds like a really intense job. Do you have to specialize between small/large animal, or do you learn everything?

Sometimes the wait is like 4 hours, it's kind of ridiculous. But the food is so good, it warrants a wait once a year. I was home schooled too, pretty much the whole time.
  • waterbird12 19 days ago
For a long time I did /not/ want to teach overseas, but actually yes, as long as the paperwork goes through I'm moving to Korea in July. You made it halfway through college! That's exciting :) What are you studying?

Cheese in general is good :) And yeah, they were squeaky, but it's been awhile. Ah, Springfield. Have you been to Lambert's Cafe? We always stop near Springfield to eat there when we're down there visiting relatives. Were you homeschooled?
  • waterbird12 19 days ago
Aw, thanks :) I read that the average lifespan is 10-12, but if they live past 6/7 (apparently the breed is prone to cancers then), they will likely live up to 15, maybe 20. I hope yours does too!

Leather bearings can be hard to repair, that has got to be annoying! Foreign stamps are fun! One of my favorites is from Burundi, I think. It is nice to do stuff with my sister. And she knits me gloves :)

The short answer is English, the more accurate one is Lit with concentrations in Linguistics and Comp, Senior thesis in Fiction Writing (well, I submit it Thursday), and minors in Asian Studies and Secondary Ed, although it takes another year to get my license. Are you still in college?

I've never been to Wisconsin, but my cousins visit Milwaukee every year and sometimes bring me cheese curds. Were the basketball games at Mizzou, or somewhere else? Sorry, I don't know sports well!
  • waterbird12 20 days ago
I love them! I lost mine this summer (she was 16), but I want to get another when I can. I'm sure yours is very cute ^_^

Yes! My sister and I have Kromski wheel. She is also really into knitting, but I don't have as much patience for that. My cousin got me started on stamp collecting. I haven't done much in college, but I like to collect ones related to space and art.

Yeah, I'm from Missouri. It's only fair! I stalked you first ;)
  • waterbird12 20 days ago
So, I clicked on your profile cause I got all excited when I saw your username (I used to have a bichon, and most people don't know what they are), and wow, you spin, stamp collect, and your favorite drama is Tatta Hitotsu? Me too! And then I had to say 'hi'. So hi! I'm Water :)
