Just okay

The acting is fine. Everyone did their job nicely. If this was a romantic comedy, then I would probably give it a higher score. As for the mental health part of it, it is sorely lacking. I have personal experience with mental health and let me say it is a lifetime commitment of healing that isn't entirely about taking your meds. I'm not saying that taking your meds isn't important. Of course, it is. However, there is way more to healing than just taking medicine and writing in a book. There were good stories, but they simplified the healing process to the point of ridiculousness.

Anyway, there is my 2 cents worth.
I won't be rewatching this ever. Which is kind of sad considering the acting and the potential.

This contains all kinds of spoilers...

It has been a while since I wrote a review but i thought I should since this drama is getting such bad ones.

The story is well done. There are a few flaws but overall it connects everyone and everything well. If people are mad about who the FL ends up with, then I'm not sure we are seeing the drama from the same perspective.

Cha Hyung Bin helps set up Gong Ji Chul as a serial killer just because that is what he believes and NOT because of any real evidence. One murder does not make a serial killer. Who really cares that Ji Chul who was habitually mistreated kills a woman that has killed a child in his misguided attempt to save the one person who was kind to him? I don't. It seems justified to me.
Jung Ha Eun is who pisses me off. WTH? She doesn't even try to see the truth and betrays Ji Chul in the most hurtful way by calling him an animal. She is blindly in love with a man that is blinded by his own bias against Ji Chul. Hyung Bin is a know it all trying to act all righteous.

Then in the reincarnation Kim Soo Hyuk is no better. He's doing the same thing with more power. Setting people up based on his belief. The writer tries to pull it off as righteous judgment but it is just plain wrong.
Then we have Chun Jong Bum who is again misunderstood and mistreated. What a messed up family. Still he does the best he can, but Soo Hyuk tries to set him up again. Then Soo Hyuk friggin' shoots him in the head with no consequences. What kind of BS is that?
It is ridiculous to me that people see Chun Jong Bum/Gong Ji Chul as the bad guy and Kim Soo Hyuk/Cha Hyung Bin as the good guy. They both have depths to their characters and there is a bit of grey area in both but I feel Jong Bum is a way better person than Soo Hyuk.
At least in the reincarnation Jung So Bin tries harder to see the truth and finally sees both men for who they are in this life time as well as the previous one.
Personally I feel like she didn't deserve Jong Bum or Ji Chul.

The rest of the enter twining characters made it interesting.

All of the acting was good. Those boys did a really good job.

The music is good.

No reason to watch it again.

I recommend this drama. It is very entertaining and makes you think.

I watched WTS because the premise of the drama was interesting. However, the story isn't well written or directed. The dialog is lacking at times. I am still uncertain what the writer was trying to convey with the God, reaper, human with abilities, regular human interaction. I think it might be that no one is infallible. Also, there wasn't much screen time for the relationship of the main leads and it put a damper on the romcom part of the drama. There was no chemistry, but I wonder if that isn't because they didn't spend much time together on screen to show the chemistry. For the first time, I will say that this drama needed more episodes to tell the stories of all the characters and bring out their personalities. I felt pretty much nothing for the characters because their stories felt rushed and they didn't really connect the way the writer probably thought they would. Overall this drama failed because of the writing.

I know people have a problem with Kim Hyun Joong. I think he is a good actor. No, he's no So Ji Sub (who could be?) but he does just fine. He played Joon Woo as a kind man searching for something. Kind of like #Keanu Reaves in that he makes me like him even though his acting isn't perfect. Ahn Ji Hyun plays Kim Sun Ah as a cheerful, struggling woman who is searching for happiness. I have seen all of her supporting rolls and was pleasantly surprised to see her as a lead. Too bad the first time is this drama. Im Gyo Jin as Myung Woon was also good. At least his story made sense. The supporting characters also had characters and story lines that were better than the main leads. I wish I could have connected more to these great actors.

The music is good.

I will never rewatch this.

I don't recommend this to anyone wanting a deep connection and a happy romcom. However, it isn't horrible. I don't regret watching it.

Are the writers kidding me? I felt like the ending left a lot to be desired. Plus, the entire drama was just the same story recycled and the amount of plot points that were discarded is staggering. I was so bored at times with the repeated cooking challenges. The "bad guys" were a waste of time. The mother was a self-righteous bitch. The secondary characters were ignorant and annoying. So, why didn't I give this a lower rating? The bromance and romance between the three main leads was so sweet and sincere. Plus, there are some actual funny parts and the fighting scenes were good. Honestly, I almost dropped it at episode 3, but I think it does get better. I realized what kind of drama it would be when I found out the writer was the same for Jealousy Incarnate. It was just a so-so drama for me.

The main actors are the highlight of the show. Not that the secondary actors aren't good, but I really could have cared less about any of the characters. JunHo does well at playing an arrogant and strong yet vulnerable and sweet character in Seo Poong. I have been a Jung Ryeo won fan since watching History of a Salaryman and she doesn't fail to impress as Sae Woo. Jang Hyuk is, of course, excellent as Chil Seong and I just love him as an actor.

The music is okay but can sometimes get old.

I will never rewatch this.

I don't really recommend this drama, but it doesn't totally suck.

Sketch is well written, acted and directed. The premise of the drama is interesting and there are some great twists and turns. It has great action and emotion. I was taken aback by how far the writer was willing to go. Also, I love the fact that I wasn't sure where it was going at times. There are a lot of predictable dramas out there where I usually figure out what is going to happen, but this drama kept me guessing. The characters have depth and helped drive the drama. it is rare for both the pace of a story and the characters to come together so well. The writer did a good job connecting the dots. I didn't feel like I was left wanting and the ending was well done. I like how the writer made the 1% seem like they are untouchable unless the 99% get together to stop them. I wish people didn't judge money as success. There are a lot of ways to be successful in life with out money.

All of the actors are good. Of course, Rain as Kang Dong Soo, Lee Sun Bin as Yoo Shi Hyun and Lee Dong Gun as Kim Do Jin were daebak. But Lee Seung Joo stole the show as Yoo Si Joon. I was so into his character and what drove him. It is hard to write a lot with out giving a way spoilers.

The music is good. Especially what they used for suspense.

I will probably rewatch this at some point.

If you like gritty, suspense with a little supernatural thrown in, then you will like this. I recommend it highly.

About Time has an interesting premise to the story. There are things that I really liked about it. I like that we actually get to see the play they are working on through out the movie. Much better than Just Between Lovers where you never get to see the memorial they work on during the entire drama. So, that was a relief. Also, the ending was excellent. Choi Micha's best friends were awesome. I feel the writer could have added more sweet moments between the families and friends than fill time with the stupidity of the ridiculous fiancé. She was so annoying and to some degree took away from the story rather than adding anything. There are holes in the story, but the character development was good. I like that the writer is basically saying that we never know how much time we have so we should live life to the fullest.

Lee Sung Kyung is cute as Choi Michaela. Does anyone know if that is really her voice? I like her drive and desperation at first to live and then to save. It makes perfect since that she would be terrified at the end. I like Lee Sang Yoon as Lee Do Ha. I think he has great charisma with Lee Sung Kyung with out it being over bearing. He gives her what she needs because he loves her. It isn't a stingy love. The other actors are good also, but I could not have cared less about their characters.

The music is good, but geez. At some point I was tired of listening to it.

I won't rewatch this.

I recommend this drama as an easy watch with an ending that won't disappoint. Just be prepared for some unreasonable fiancé angst.

So anyone who knows me understands I watched this because of So Ji Sub. It isn't really my genre of choice. However, I was pleasantly surprised at this heart warming story. It was sweet and I didn't cry. I think the way the story is written and directed made me feel more happy than sad. I love that house. I would totally live there. The way they tell their stories of how they met, feel in love, and heartbreak was beautiful. that kid is just the cutest thing.

So Ji Sub and Son Ye Jin are excellent actors no matter what. Plus they are easy on the eyes and had good chemistry.

The music is pretty.

I would rewatch this.

I recommend this movie to people that are into love stories.

Lawless Attorney is a well thought out written and directed drama. The pacing of the twists and turns are no joke. I like a drama that keeps me guessing as to what is going to happen next. I'm not usually into trial dramas but this one isn't bad to watch. I think some of it is ridiculous, but dramas don't have to be perfect in court or in a hospital. They are just dramas after all. Plus, I lived in a town where the FBI came and arrested police, attorneys, and judges and I don't think it is that easy to get away with that level of corruption. Of course, the South Korean president was impeached for corruption. So, maybe it is easy to a certain extent until it is exposed. Who am I kidding? With the way the US government is run, there is no telling what they get away with in the US also. They probably busted the small town because they weren't giving big government their piece. But I digress. Lawless Attorney is a mix of murder, fighting, drama, comedy and a little romance. The characters are well developed and it is fun to hate the bad guys. Some of the dialog leaves something to be desired but it isn't horrible. I think that the outcome for some of the bad guys could have been better and equal to the suffering of the good guys. The female lead characters are strong, good or bad, and it is enjoyable.

The acting is good even if some of it is over the top. Lee Hye Young as Cha Moon Sook is so unbelievably well done. She stole the show. I have never seen Choi Min Soo act like that. The way he bows down as Ahn Oh Joo is really strange to watch. I like him as an actor, but this character was totally weird. The fight scenes with Lee Joon Gi and Choi Min Soo are awesome though. I thought the actors worked well together and all had great chemistry. Actually all the fighting is fun to watch. I wonder if some of them accidentally got hurt. Seo Ye Ji as Ha Jae Yi was strong and vulnerable at the right moments. She did her character proud.

The music is good.

i won't rewatch this.

If you like lawyer movies, then you will probably enjoy this one.

JBL is an okay drama, but isn't that good.

My biggest gripe is...
They work on this memorial through out most of the drama. We get to see some of the stories of the families of the victims and survivors. They even send out announcements to attend the unveiling. Guess what? We never get to see the friggin' memorial!!! I thought we would get to see the families gather and heal.

Instead we get episodes of the female lead blaming herself for crap she had no control over. To some degree I can understand the writer because the mother basically blamed the female lead for her involvement in her sister's death so it is kind of expected that she would blame herself for other things too. Still, it is annoying. Also, the stupid disease for the male lead is just too much. It is borderline ridiculous. I enjoyed the first 8 to 10 episodes and if the writer had kept to the vein of the leads supporting each other as they built this memorial, then it would have been a better story. The writer could have even put in more stories of those in the accident. I get it is a melo and I love melos, but this kind of went in circles at one point. I will say that I like the fact that there wasn't really a love triangle and there was no vindictive second male or female lead. The side stories were pretty good. The highlights of the drama is Kim Kang Hyun as Sang Man and Park Hee Bon as Kim Wan Jin. They are outstanding friends to the lead characters. I felt some of the stories weren't resolved or too easily resolved and some were rushed, because the writer concentrated too much on that stupid disease instead of giving me closure.

Lee Jun Ho surprised me. He is a good actor and pulled out all his emotions for Lee Kang Doo. I think he had pretty descent chemistry with Woo Jin Ah (Ha Moon Soo). The kissing scenes left a little to be desired, but she will probably get better. I think she did well pulling out the emotions expected of her. It isn't her fault the writer messed her character up some. The other actors are good also.

The music is well done.

I will never rewatch this.

This is a good drama, but don't get your expectations up too high reading all those 9 and 10 reviews. I do recommend it to people who like melos.

First, I didn't even know there was a Japanese version. So this review is not a comparison.

Rich Man, Poor Woman is a terrible name for a drama, but because of the lead actors, I decided to watch it anyway. The story isn't so bad. It is pretty typical. CEO has a childhood trauma that makes him a cold asshole, then a beautiful, cheerful woman comes into his life and changes him. I have watched this story and enjoyed it many times. The story isn't the problem. What is bad about this drama is that the character growth is minimal. Plus, I thought this was supposed to be a romance but there wasn't much. The writer took too long and it was slow and a little boring. I mean shouldn't the lead actor and actress kiss and have more intimate moments than the supporting actors and actresses? Anyway, the story between Cha Do Jin (Park Sung Hoon) and Mi So (Yoon Da Young) was more interesting and they had great chemistry.

The acting was just so so. I'm a total fan of idols turned actors, but Yoo Chan (Suho) wasn't very good here. Some of his facial expressions and acting was really strange and down right ridiculous. I don't know what that weird twisted upper lip expression was that he kept using, but someone should have told him to stop. I think he was the most natural when he was with Kim Bo Ra (Ha Yeon Soo). Ha Yeon Soo is a good actress and she did well in this role. She was one of the highlight of the drama.

The music is pretty good, although somewhat overused.

I will never rewatch this.

If you want to watch a romance, then there are better ones out there. I don't recommend this drama.

This is one of the most excruciatingly long dramas that I have ever had the misfortune to watch. With horrible family members and horrible coworkers, it is not worth the story line. I can't believe how annoying this drama is. Why did I bother watching it to the end???? I honestly don't know. I feel like I was in some kind of trance. I must have been crazy. The ending is even more annoying.

The one and only saving grace is the character growth of Yoon Jin Ah as Son Ye Jin and the chemistry she had with Jung Hae In as Seo Joon Hee. That relationship was so messed up though. I couldn't be in a relationship that I cant be honest about everything. They are so frustrating. There are some redeeming characters besides the main characters but they are few.

The music is exceptional.

I will never rewatch this.

I don't recommend this drama to anyone.

My Golden Life is a decent family drama. The first 12 episodes or so go really fast, then the middle is slow, then the end is fast also. I like that the story dives right into the birth secret instead of waiting 10 episodes while some characters try to hide it while others try to figure it out. The plot twists were good and the writer seemed to really think it through. The writer delves into several themes, but I think the most vivid is that a person needs to find themselves and do what makes them happy. If you don't love yourself, then how can you expect to love or be loved. The most disappointing thing to me is how they wrapped up some of the characters. Some of them deserved to be punished way worse than they were while other characters stories seemed to be incomplete. However, I loved the fathers. They really made up for the crazy mothers.

The couples were some what of a disappointment also. Park Shi Hoo as Choi Do Kung and Shin Hye Sun and Seo Ji An had no chemistry whatsoever. However, Lee Tae Hwan as Sun Woo Hyuk had great chemistry with everyone including the guys. He really did steal the show. The best couple was Shin Hyun Soo as Seo Ji Ho and Lee Da In as Choi Seo Hyun. They were so cute together and he helped her a lot. I don't know if all the extra cheesy couple stuff was necessary to the story. It honestly got on my nerves. I did like that everyone seemed to have a friend they could lean on. If it weren't for that 3rd generation chaebol that owned the share house, then the story would have gone in a crazy direction. I love that the writer put limits on the mean ass grandfather. It is sad how much those adults put those kids through. Seo Ji An and Seo Ji Soo were total victims. The writer does a good job with the character development and emotional turmoil of these two characters. The rest of the characters seemed to be decoration around their story. I started watching this because I like Lee Tae Sung but he is barely in the drama and his character was strange.

All of the acting was what you would expect from this type of drama.

The music is good.

I will never rewatch this.

If you like family dramas, then this one is an okay watch.

I want to live in that neighborhood too.

As I write this I have tears. This is one of the best dramas that I have seen in a long time. The writer and director somehow drew me in and I began an emotional roller coaster ride. I think they bring to light that most people force their selves through life. Sometimes we forget that the most important part of life are the lovely moments with our families and friends. The characters may seem like ordinary people living ordinary lives, but there are so many layers to each of these characters. The story has an extra marital affair, corporate intrigue, child neglect and some violence. here is plenty of suspenseful moments, heartbreaking realizations, and pleasant surprises. I am particularly impressed by the well written character, Park Dong Hoon. All of the extra characters are also very much needed to make this story complete. Some people may think that this drama is slow, but it totally works that way. I can't explain why the characters of this drama touched me, but I cried and laughed and stared blankly.

I like it that Lee Sun Kyun plays Park Dong Hoon with strength and conviction. I had honestly forgotten about this actor since Coffee Prince. He was made for this role. At first I admit I wasn't sure what the big deal was about these brothers, but each episode shows more depth of character until I was totally engrossed in their lives. People talk smack about idol actors and also say that she didn't have to do much talking or acting. To that I say you are so wrong. IU had a quiet strength that was palpable as Lee Ji An. I didn't know what to think of Ji An at first, but I felt sympathy for her and wanted her to succeed no matter what. The other actors are good also.

The music is good.

I may rewatch this sometime.

No matter what genre you usually prefer, I recommend that you watch this drama.

Wow this drama received a lot of love in the reviews, but I think it should come with a warning label. It is extremely emotional to those who have experienced loss of a parent, physical or mental abuse, or abandonment. I cried and cried. I would never have watched this if I had known...I can't write spoilers.

I like that the writer is trying to bring to light some of the atrocities and stereotypes that occur in this world. I don't know why some people have put a taboo on adopted children. I don't know why people don't immediately take a child away from abusive parents...even if they have to investigate. Isn't it better safe then sorry??? The way people treat single mothers is awful. Hasn't anyone ever heard that it takes a tribe to raise a child. If we cared more about people, then maybe these horrible things wouldn't happen as often. I could go on and on, but I will stop now. At least the writer didn't glorify kidnapping a child even if it is to get the child out of a horrible situation. The symbolism of the writer using the birds was well done.

The problem with this drama and the reason why I gave it a lower score is that it wouldn't have been as good with out Heo Yool. I don't know where this little girl came from, but she is awesome. I felt for her through the entire drama and wondered if she might need counseling after playing such a role. I have liked Lee Bo Young in other things, but she lacked in this drama. I just couldn't get into the "mother" character she was trying to portray. In the end I would have dropped this if it weren't for the little girl.

The music was pretty.

I will never rewatch this.

I only recommend this drama to those who want to cry.

I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before I watched this drama because some of them are way harsh. So, The Great Seducer isn't epic but it isn't that bad.

The story definitely wavered from the original story, but I didn't find that a bad thing. I don't know why people are surprised by the writing. It is pretty typical teen/young adult angst written drama. I'm more surprised that there was no amnesia. I fully expected it toward the end. Woo Do Hwan as Kwon Shi Hyun was supposed to be the seducer, but Joy as Eun Tae Hee showed him a different kind of relationship that was very seductive in its sincerity. I think that Tae Hee ends up being the great seducer. I liked her character. She was firm in her thoughts and stood up for herself. Moon Ga Young as Choi Soo Ji was just a crazy little thing. Those boys should have reigned her in some or at the very least not started revenge on some guy that she didn't even like, although said guy was a total ass. Kim Min Jae as Lee Se Joo was basically a tool used to carry the story line forward at some points. I didn't really care about his character. I think the flaw in this drama is that I didn't really feel sorry for the the three friends at the end like I think the writer intends. The adults were total scum in this drama for the most part. If they had treated their children with some respect and love, then maybe they wouldn't be so horrible. I guess my problem is that I think some people should have been punished more harshly.

The acting was decent. I'm really tired of people dissing idol actors. Joy did just fine. I think Woo Do Hwan was the best and not just because he is totally cute. He was emotionally appropriate for the scenes. Sometimes people blame the actors for bad acting when it is bad writing and directing. I think that might be the case in this drama because so many people were disappointed in the story line. Moon Ga Young can certainly play crazy well. The other actors were fine also.

I really enjoyed the music.

I will never rewatch this.

Overall, I think it was a fun watch and would recommend it to those who like teen angst dramas.
